For the cost of a 2-day rental I was able to purchase this tool.

Now that my garage is done, not sure what I'll use it for, but it sure served it's purpose well. Very happy. My friends and family will be happy too, now that I have a roofing nailer they can use.

I purchased this item for a home project, and it came exactly as described, and did the work without a
problem. No nail jams or operational issues. Good value for a homeowner who likes to do his own work..

I had my doubts about buying a less expensive nailer, but this nailer worked like an expensive nailer, i did a whole roof with no problems, i highly recommend this nailer.

I read all the previous reviews and decided to risk it. I'm not a professional roofer. I've re-shingled a few roofs in my life. I just needed a roofing nailer for 6 square. This nailer worked flawlessly for about 300 nails. Then, I assume, it blew a gasket essential to maintain air pressure in the nailer. Air was blowing out the back of the nailer near the handle assembly. From my roof, I called the customer support number for this product. I was told to send the nailer to them for repair. So, here's your choice: buy this nailer and hope it nails all the shingles to your roof or, like me, take out the hammer and nail the remaining shingles the old fashion way.

I bought this nail gun to do an overlay on my roof and am extremely impressed with the results! I did not experience any problems with the gun nor did I have to purchase anything extra to use it (I'm not sure why the description says couplers not included...). I would highly recommend this gun for any roofing project as it is cheaper than renting a roofing nail gun for more than 2 days and works just as well as the much higher-priced nail guns.

Good deal for the price. I am doing my own roof and it cost $35 per day to rent a roofing nailer, so this paid for itself in two days. I found the nails at a local big box store for $23/7200. Not for the professional roofer, but for lighter use is a great deal.

Bought this as an alternative to a $70, 24-hour rental from a local store. It worked well and ran ~6 coils of 1" roofing nails without any malfunctions. I was not a huge fan of the nail coil holder itself-- clearly that was one spot where they saved some money-- as it's made of a flimsy plastic. That leaves it pretty far from 'contractor grade' for that reason, but for light duty with someone that takes care of their tools it's a relatively minor complaint.

I only had to do six bundles of shingles on a garden shed, so I didn't have a lot of time with it, but it was very easy to (accidentally) double fire. That's probably great if you're holding the trigger and banging out multiple shots using the actuator on the muzzle, but for more careful placement with individual shots (again, think: home user) it's a pretty hair trigger.

I also didn't see a particularly effective range of adjustment using the depth control knob-- it seemed to be either "nail the holy h--l out of it" or "slightly less than nail the holy h--l out of it".

The above nit-picks keep it from being five stars for me, but for the price and performance it's definitely a solid buy and I'm glad I went with it instead of renting one (especially since weather intervened and I would have had to pay for a couple days of rental time).

I can only complain about a few small issues, otherwise the nail gun has proven to perform well. The two issues I've experienced, while shooting the first 5 rolls of nails, is that the gun started shooting double shots when using the trigger to fire the nails. That appears to have improve since I started using the gun. The other is that main body gasket had a slight leak, releasing small amounts of air, but not enough to make the compressor overrun to compensate for it. Tightening the allen bolts did not improve the issue. That too self-corrected itself after about 30 minutes and has been good since. This is why it is being scored four stars. Overall, I would make the purchase again considering the significant savings over other products.

My first experience using a roofing nailer. I had one big job to do and then wouldn't be using it much afterwards. The only reason I bought this was it made sense when compared to renting one for a few days. For the money it seems to be a decent nailer. My only complaint is that it has a tendency to bend the nail heads a bit. I'm assuming that more expensive nailers wouldn't do this. I found myself having to reach for my hammer often to flatten out the heads. Other than that minor issue it worked great. For occasional use and then put away, it is a great way to go.
