Rinse hair thoroughly, apply WEN® into your palms and rub together. Use 10-16 pumps for short hair, 16-24 pumps for medium length hair and 24-32 pumps for long hair. If your hair is longer/thicker you may need to increase the amount of pumps. Apply to scalp and hair, adding a splash of water to evenly distribute. WEN® has no harsh detergents or sodium lauryl sulfate, so it won't lather. Massage thoroughly into hair and leave on for the remainder of your shower. Rinse thoroughly and completely, massaging scalp and running fingers through to the ends. Apply 1/2 to 1 pump depending on hair length and texture as a leave-in conditioner to soaking wet hair. For best results we highly suggest you cleanse, rinse and repeat, using half the recommended pumps for the first cleanse, and the remaining half for the second cleanse. Unlike many ordinary shampoos, you may find you don't need to cleanse as often.

I have been using WEN cleansing conditioner for several months now and LOVE it. HOWEVER, you have to be aware that there are two different versions of the WEN cleansing conditioner: the Guthry-Renker distributed item, and the ChazDean.com version.
I have always purchased WEN from Amazon.com without any problems, UNTIL THIS TIME. I didn't think to read the ingredient label when I received it, I just took the product into the shower with me. I could tell a difference IMMEDIATELY. The product was not sliding through my hair easily, it seemed almost sticky. Then, when I rinsed my hair, it felt dried out and rough, and when it dried, it looked greasy and brittle. I looked at the label and was irate when I found the first 3 ingredients to be water, GLYCERIN, CETYL ALCOHOL, and CETEARYL ALCOHOL. [For those of you who don't know, these forms of alcohol are known to be a low cost way to add sub-optimal moisturizing to a product; although a small amount to enhance the moisturizing properties of other moisturizing ingredients is effective, using it as the primary emollient is counter-productive (it WILL dry out your hair.)]
THE GUTHY-RENKER VERSION IS INFERIOR, and I believe that those who have given poor reviews to this product related to it being drying or making their hair look greasy have actually received this version. YOU WANT THE VERSION BY CHAZDEAN.COM! The ingredients listed on the Amazon page are the true ingredients (water, aloe vera gel, glycerin, chamomile extract, cherry bark extract, calendula extract, rosemary extract, etc...Read more ›
Well, I decided to order a bottle directly from WEN. Got it today. Guess what? SAME EXACT ingredients as the one on amazon - not what other people are saying about aloe etc. alcohol is the first few ingredients.
Needless to say the one from amazon is working just fine for me. But I wonder if WEN is scamming folks by putting the different ingredients on their website. Not cool.
Water, Aloe Vera Gel, Glycerin, Chamomile Extract, Cherry Bark Extract, Calendula Extract, Rosemary Extract, Behentrimonium Chloride, Stearamidopropyl Dimethylamine, Cetyl Alcohol, Emulsifying Wax, Panthenol, Trimethylsilylamodimethicone, Hydrolyzed Whole Wheat Protein, PEG-60, Almond Glycerides, Menthol, Essential Oils, Citric Acid, Methylchoroisothiazolinone, Methylisothiazolinone, Fragrance
It's outrageous that they would have two formulas floating about...
I looked into this and found a website called wenhaircare.com. This website sells a low quality fake version of the real Chaz Dean product, but they charge the same price. If you want the actual WEN product you must purchase it from [...] or the QVC website. Wen hair products are not being resold for sale to anyone else. In the future, I will by my Wen from people who are authorized to sell it. And I will NEVER purchase anything from Discountbeauty ever again. This was the worst customer service experience I've ever had. This is basically stealing.

I love the product but hate the "packages" Chaz Dean requires you to buy. I don't use the other products so buying individually on Amazon works well for me.Published 22 days ago by Amy L Farnham
I have been using this for several months. My hair is super finicky and naturally curly. Since I started using Wen people keep asking if I got a perm because my curls are so good. Read morePublished 25 days ago by LASuser
Terrible stuff. Use it more than once and you can't get your brush through your hair. If you have thick hair, don't use this stuff. My hair felt like a dirty mop. Read morePublished 27 days ago by Deborah Marshall
