I maintain 4400 sq ft of wood floors and I own 1 of these. I am buying 3 more to place inconspicuously around my living areas. I like to sweep to touch up high traffic areas like the entry and kitchen. It makes things more convienent.

Finally, I complete my sweeping chore without the joust-fest with my dachshund and his sidekick, the Black Lab. No more resweeping everything they knock out of the dustpan! As a matter of fact, they are a bit afraid of this latest sucker-beast and allow me to finish the chore uninterrupted, while the device itself is absolutely the best thing to assist the old cleaning routine! Hooray for quick and EZ.

This product has performed as I expected. I had seen one at my hairdresser's salon and thought it would be great for my home.
It sure is nice to just sweep up the dog hair from two German Shepherds so easily. Also, I paid half of what my hairdresser paid for hers. She should have shopped Amazon!

What a great idea!,

I picked one of these up at the local overstock store and I fell in love with it! I have hardwood floors and two dogs. I used to sweep every day and bend down to sweep everything into a dust pan -ouch! My back always hurt afterwards. This little appliance is such a life saver. Sweep the dog hair near it and whoosh! the dog hair is gone! My sister-in-law bought one at the same time, she has three dogs and she loves it as much as I do.

Not just an automatic dust-pan but a great spider catcher!,
This review is from: WESTINGHOUSE SWEEPEZE VACUUMING SYSTEM - WST1810 (Kitchen)
Yes, you read it right, a spider catcher. Sure it is a great system for sweeping the dog hair and such up without having to bend over and I highly recommend it for that, but it's greatest use around my house is a spider eradicator.
I remember the first time I was laying in bed late at night and it went off, it startled me. I thought someone had broke in my house, walked by it and somehow set it off. After going through the house and finding nothing, I went to bed and didn't think much more of it. Couple nights later and again I am awoke from the sound of it going off. I laid there and listened, but heard nothing more. After this happened a few more times, I figured it was defective. I decided to take a look and see if I could figure out what was happening or if there was a sensitivity lever for the infrared sensor. When I took the collection bin out there wasn't much hair or dirt because I hadn't used it much but there were 7 dead spiders in it. They had apparently scurried near the infrared sensor, which activated the suction and sent them on a quick ride of their lives. Having a mild case of arachnophobia has made this one of the best purchases in my home to date. Now when I hear it go off at night, I just lay there with a big smile on my face knowing that's one less spider roaming around my house and I didn't have to use harmful chemicals to get the job done. *UPDATE* It's not only a great vacuum system and spider catcher but this last winter it proved to be an awesome mouse catcher too. They get sucked inside like the spiders, but it doesn't usually kill them. I caught and released 3 mice and have had no more in the house since. |
