Experience the power and freedom of cordless yard care. The WORX WG190 48-volt MAX lithium battery powered grass trimmer and edger provides gas-like power, run-time, and performance with less weight, no gas, and zero emissions. With the addition of a gas-like throttle control and 13-inch cutting diameter, this WG190 WORX trimmer is loaded with all the power you need for trimming whatever is in your path.
Professional Results in a Cordless Grass Trimmer/Edger
Put the professional finishing touches on your lawn with the WORX WG190 cordless grass trimmer/edger. The 48-volt cordless lithium-power battery provides gas-like power, run-time, and performance with less weight and zero emissions. With the gas-like throttle control; the 13-inch cutting diameter; and the rotating head for edging, this 48-volt trimmer/edger is loaded with the power you need and the precision control to create a professionally landscaped lawn anytime.
Gas-Like 48-Volt Power
The WG190 is powered by a lightweight and efficient 48-volt rechargeable Lithium MAX battery, which delivers 8300 rpms of power without the added cost of gas, hassle of extension cords, or smelly emissions associated with gas-powered alternatives. Not only are WORX Lithium MAX battery packs extremely lightweight, they provide three times the usable life of standard Ni-CD batteries. The convenient battery charge indicator is a welcome addition to know when the battery is low on charge. With no memory effect, the battery can charge anytime and have power until ready to use. With the Lithium MAX battery, you can trim and edge your lawn under normal use and conditions up to 30 minutes per full charge. The higher the throttle and the tougher the conditions, the trimmer will use more runtime. For efficient trimming, lower the throttle and more runtime can be expected.
Maximum Comfort and Performance
The WG190 48-volt cordless trimmer/edger has the look and feel of a gas trimmer but is much lighter and easier to maneuver. At less than 8 pounds, the WG190 is easier to lug around without the hassle of carrying the gas can or tangled cords. With the pivoting head and pull-out edger guide, now the trimmer becomes an inverted edger just like other gas trimmers. The edger guide can also be extended to protect ornamental vegetation when trimming.
All-in-one Spool and Cap Design
A Convenient all-in-one cap and spool (WA0204) makes it easier to change the line without the hassle of threading the line properly. The process requires virtually no downtime. The WG190 comes with a trimmer line spool installed. Made of a patented co-polymer blend that's flexible and pliable when striking surfaces, this allows for more durability and longer trimmer-line life. The 0.08 line diameter and 20-feet of line gives you plenty to work with compared to other smaller lines on other cordless trimmers. The single, automatic line feed also means no bumping to extend the line.

Single 0.08" trimmer line that spins at high speed (8,300 rpm). I prefer a single trimmer line over dual trimmer lines as there is no bump issue.
Three hour battery charge time, but prefer that over fast charge batteries as I don't feel fast charge is healthy for battery life. I wanted an extra battery, but only could find available through WORX at this time...not an issue for me...I ordered an extra battery directly from WORX. 30 mintute run time on charged battery which should be enough for most residential homes. I live in country with lots to trim, thus the extra battery. I rate the WORX WG190 a 5 Star product.
I'm 5'7" and fairly strong (massage therapist) but I don't think it's too heavy for most folks. I
use it about a hour at a time, then take a while to think about my next direction, recharge if
needed. Very easy to put together and use. Highly recommend.
1) The handle where it comes together certainely could be more rigid. If I ever need to club my way through a sea of Hobos with it I might be let down, but for weeding the yard it seems strong enough.
2) The cheaper 20V model I had purchased came with a nice mounting bracket while this one has a 'Nail Hole' in the back of the case to hang it on the wall.
