Like all Hot Wheel sets, the assembly is pretty daunting but well worth the effort. My boys (ages 7 & 4) LOVED it (my 1 yr old son cried when the Cyborg opened, but quickly got over it). However, one very important note - it takes 3 cars to open the Cyborg and the set comes with 2! Most of our old Hot Wheels cars were too beat up or too heavy to work on the track, and out of a huge box of cars we finally found one that worked. When it works the action is fantastic, but does grow old quick. Best in small doses.

Finally, a Hot Wheels action set that delivers as promised. Once we finally got it put together (no easy task), the kids have played non-stop. The set is fun. The kids are studying the design to understand how it all works! Take note: your old Hot Wheels cars may not work with this set. The two that came with it work great, but many of our other cars will not make the loop.

After assembly and a few tweaks, the track works perfectly. My six yr old son loves it more than any of his other Hot Wheels sets-T-Rex, Croc crunch etc. etc.

My little brother recieved this as a birthday present from a friend. I know this has gotten some bad reviews, but I think this is one of the better Hot Wheels playsets with only a few minor flaws.

First of all, we have tried many different Hot Wheels cars with this set, (We have more Hot Wheels cars than you can count) and we found four that work with the set (2 of them sold separately). In spite of a previous reviewer, you only need one car to go up the ramp.

Second, the launcher requires 4 "D" batteries, and unfortunately, we had to buy the batteries separately. Is including the batteries with your sets too much to ask for, Hot Wheels?

And finally, There are problems with the ramp. It won't stay attached to the launcher, so make sure the launcher and the ramp are on the same surface. Also, there is a lever that makes the cars go up the ramp. You have to push down on the lever really hard in order for the cars to go up.

Overall, 3.5 Stars. One of the better Hot Wheels playsets well worth a try, unless you have little kids becuase Hot Wheels sets aren't that durable.

My 6 year old son just purchased this with money he received for Christmas (he has been wanting it for months)... so we were quite excited to go to our local Toys R Us to go get it!
After 2 hours of assembly (I followed the instructions step-by-step so I'm confident that I put it together correctly) we could not get the "tall" track to swing into the Cyborg's mouth. It always fell about a 1/2 inch short. It was EXTREMELY dissappointing to my son to say the least, and EXTREMELY frustrating to me after spending 2 hours putting it together. I'd spend your money on a different Hot Wheels track... unless you want to have an unhappy little boy on Christmas morning. Thank goodness Santa didn't bring this one!

My five year old loved it. It is one of the better tracks. You have to find the right cars,most of the hot wheel cars we had were to heavy.

My son received this for a birthday present when he turned 5. He absolutely loves it. He wants me to write: "I like the fast, twisting tracks and I like how the cyborg's head opens up". It has given him hours of fun.

We got this for our 4 year old for Christmas. Daddy (me) puzzled over the assembly, and it took a while to get it together.
Once it worked, our son was thrilled and delighted by the action of the cars whipping around and getting eaten, and still plays on and off with this even 3 months after Christmas. More engaging than most toys we've gotten him.

Part of the game, however, is that most Hot Wheels don't work with this, so a systematic search (passing/failing cars) is the main game he plays with it! Most are too heavy, so they wipe out before making the circuit. At least we found 4 (out of about 40!) that work - lucky for us, since the set needs 3 to make the cyborg open his head. He thinks that is great fun as well, and demonstrates it to each new babysitter.

Now if we could only find a few more cars that meet the very limited weight requirements ...

Where to start? The launcher runs at about 100 decibels. The assembled set is very large. My 5 year old has about a bajillion hot wheels cars of which precicely two will work on this set. And one of the two only completes the track about 50% of the time. The cyborg "hand" has never worked properly (it needs a serious assist to get the car released into the skull mouth) and the "catch and release" function in the skull has also never worked. However, my boy loves this toy. He leaps around squeaking with joy when the one functional car races around the track and into the capture arm. When his friend, another 5 year old boy was here, the two of them erupted into high pitched little boy joy heaven in spite of the stupid things faults. So what can I say.

I bought this toy to my 5 years kid. He is so happy!!
Its true it take me a lot of work to assembly, I almost throw it away!! but once it was finished is really something!
Its true is really BIG but kids love it. I dont have any place to put it!!
My other hot wheels cars doesnt work, but the Cyborg opens with two cars. If it doesnt is beacuse you have to change the goateeto the other side.
One thing to pay atention is that if the cars not make the loop you have to move it a bit because floor has to do with it.
