A VERY RARE Book of Blues Poetry by Tennessee Williams,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: In the Winter of Cities (Paperback)
This is a Must Have for any one who loves irreverant saucy, sometimes sentimental poetry. I discovered this book in 1960 when I was carrying my yet to be born Son Maurice... I can't tell you how many times I cried myself cross eyed over the poem "Which IsMy Little Boy, Jean Qui Pleurre john Qui Ri} It is the story of a boy child who gradually grows up and apart from his mother .... Very beautifully stated ... and is much in the same bag as Billie Holiday's song "God Bless The Child" It is a lovely deep bit of sentiment.... And another one I Love from that book is tthe Blues " gold Tooth Woman" Being a muusician I and my band have played this Blues making up endless really great Blues music to the words... I recommend this book, for Musicians and non-Musicians alike!!! It is a small volume and a delight to hold in the hands and really dig it!
