The Samsung USB LAN works incredibly well with my Samsung Blu-ray player. Movie streaming from both Blockbuster and Netflix is basically flawless. The set-up was easy - and if I can do it, anybody can. The LAN is a bit pricey because it is proprietary - my understanding is that the Samsung Blu-ray players can only use this LAN and are not compatable with other wireless LANs.

I ran into issues getting the wireless dongle to work correctly. After several attempts and some searching I found that setting my wireless security to WPA on my wireless router and using a password key < 10 characters solved it. Previous to this, I would get the error message that said "Physical connection establish but cannot connect to external network".

Perhaps it's the Linksys Wireless-G I have driving the wireless network in the house, but the reception at the Blu-ray with the WIS09ABGN2 is very weak. It's not convenient for me to run an Ethernet cable directly to the Bluray to compare load times, but with a strength reading all the way at the bottom, I assume bandwidth is being limited. The router <=> wireless adapter separation is ~15', with one wall and the multimedia center in the way. There's significantly more interference reaching the far end of the house and laptops pick up a much better signal all the way over there. I completely sympathize with Samsung's desire not to have to support myriad USB wireless adapters, but I feel that some sort of rotatable antenna would be useful on the exclusive model that can be used with the Bluray.
