I love this item, it looks great in my kitchen. Very sturdy! My only complaint is even though the rubber that turns inside to move the food is very soft it will still make a mess of cereals such as apple jacks. Looks awesome with coffee beans though!

These dispensers were uncomfortable to re-fill and the material is not very good....It's easily breakable and the transparent containers turned dull, making it less attractive for your food items in the containers. I used it for less than 2 months...

Looks great and great quality but not big enough for a regular size box of cereal. Works well though. Flakes do get a little crushed.

The dispenser is more decorative than usefull. I ment to use it for sugar and flour. But they are too refined and not recommended. When I dispense elbow macaroni, several pieces fly all over the kitchen.

Well this assembly is convenient and utilizes space very well. It doesn't look half bad hanging on the wall either. It was not very expensive and does the job intended. It has a simple construction and it is quite easy to disassemble and put back together for cleaning. Each compartment has a rubber lid to help keep airtight. The plastic tube of the compartment is thick, rigid plastic. I would imagine it could break if dropped enough times but haven't personally experienced any issue. Each cylinder has several spaced notches in the sides so you can adjust the position vertically in it's holder.

The part forcing the stored product to the bottom when you turn the handle is a rubber flapper mechanism. This is probably the secret of it working well because the flapper will bend and contort allowing the product to transport without getting stuck. As others have mentioned in these reviews, you can't put stuff granulated or fine like sugar or flour, and certainly not liquids. The product needs to be coarse like macaroni or coffee beans.

Minuses-
The bottom also has a rubber stopper but they tend to not be on very tight and one is very loose and falls out into the cup, ever since we took it out of the box. I ordered this product directly from Amazon so I probably should have arranged to replace it but never did.

Another minus is the method used to secure the cups that come with it. They use friction, where you twist the cup a little to get it to stay on the bottom of each compartment. I would like to see a locking mechanism or simple grooves to screw them on like the lid on a jar.

I do find my wife not using it as much after the novelty wore off but they still function as they did new, and I recommend this product for the purpose of storing bulk dry goods.

We originally received one set as a gift from my sister, and realized it would be perfect in our theater room. Turns, out, one set wasn't enough and we now have two sets in the theater room, and one on the pantry door! The pantry one is used for cereal, however they are much better suited for candy, as the rubber "flaps" tend to crush/spit out cereal. The cups have measurements on them, as well as the storage containers. They come with "freshness seals" - though I usually don't have them on, as it's a bother removing them all of the time. Sturdy and easy install, would definitely recommend! (had them almost a year now, holding up strong)

I saw this product on Extreme Home Makeover Edition being used for candy dispensers. I thought this would be great for my snack bar in our family room. This product works great for this application!! It has a cool WOW factor and each unit has a small cup stuck to the bottom of each unit to capture the candy. The Kids love them too. Types of candy I hold in them are: Reeses Pieces, Mike and IKE's, M&M's etc.... I do not think that this product would be good for small products that crush easily but for Candy it rocks!

I had bought these to store and dispense pretty pastas, and the dispensing didn't go so well. The units look great in my kitchen, but spirals and shells are difficult to dispense and end up in pieces. The tubes don't hold even a full bag of pasta, either - so I found I wasn't actually using the darn things. The last thing I need in my kitchen is another seldom used gadget taking up space.

Supposedly flours won't work in these (and would be kind of boring looking aside) so I switched to rices, which works fairly well, and they're functional again. The weight of the rice you can fit in the tubes is *way* more than that of the pasta - and so I have to be careful not to jostle the tubes. It holds all three full as long as I don't interfere, but I can't be too clumsy around them.

I hate giving them a three star rating, because I actually really like the product. I found a way that it works pretty darn well - but I wish there was a little more flexibility in what I could store in it. Plus, there's always that day I know is coming when I have to clean rice up from every corner of my kitchen.

I knew since I bought the product that the storage capacity would be an issue, hence I don't think that is "bad" or "good". This product gives a very modern look to my kitchen, and the cereal showing off inside the containers looks great. Couple of friends have asked where have I bought this...

The mounting was very easy and it came with very good hardware, and the support seems endurable. There have been other comments that the support wears and that the containers come off easily, but they are flexible and can be bent to fix them better.

It does crunch some food while rotating the serving wheels, but I cannot complain.

Now I can finally hide those hidious cereal boxes!!!

This product is very practical and was very useful. I used it primarily for my 6 year old to get her own snacks so for that it is perfect. One thing I must note, it is difficult to turn and dispense large pieces such as cheerios, apple jacks etc. but smaller snacks and things ok. Overall I like the product and would recommend.
