This scoop matches the WMF Loft line. It is a bit on the smaller side but still works. It does a better job of scooping cubed ice or crushed ice, than it does with crescent shaped ice.
If you prefer to use the typical crescent shaped ice that many refrigerators make, I would suggest picking up the WMF loft tongs, instead. All my bar tending tools are WMF (with the exception of the Rosle Bar Spoon, available here on Amazon). It is also worth noting that the handle is thin, not round. You would see this if you saw a side profile of the ice scoop. Solid investment, should last forever!

Bought it with a large Christmas Eve gathering in mind, knowing that in the past the ice tongs have been annoying. The scoop as well as being attractive served us very well. It is not as large as I expected but the size was excellent for our needs. A larger scoop, in an ice bucket might have been more difficult to use.

This scoop is just right for me. Not too small and not too big. I would buy again. Great quality, heavy; I think it will last for a long time.

This is a beautiful little item, sleek and streamlined - but it is far smaller than I had anticipated. The entire scoop, from top to bottom, is only about an inch longer than a ballpoint pen. The only practical use I could see for it would be to put crushed ice or very small ice cubes into a drinking glass (and for that it would be ideal). If you need to move your ice a little faster, you'll need something larger. I purchased two of these for home use, but returned them. Pretty, though.

Cute, tiny ice scoop...may make a better ice cream scoop!,

I was surprised to see how small this ice scoop was. It looks like an oversized ice cream scoop! This is my fault of course since I didn't pay attention to the dimensions of the scoop when purchasing! I am pleased though, it is well made and fits nicely into my freezer ice drawer.

I got this scoop because I thought it would look good with my metal ice bucket. It works so much better for getting ice than the little tongs I had before. It doesn't hold a lot of ice, but is sized well for small or large beverage glasses (you just need a couple of scoops for larger glasses). It is small enough that it will fit in the ice bucket along with the ice. A good purchase and the price is good.

I needed a smaller-sized scoop that would fit in the relatively narrow ice drawer opening of my subzero freezer. This is a very good looking scoop (looks more like a wedding-registry item than an industrial scoop). It is a bit small-- about equivalent to a 1/3 cup measuring cup, but picks up enough crescent-shaped ice to fill a large glass in 2-3 scoops, which is fine for us.
