5.0 out of 5 stars YES it's worth it & YES it is better than the one you have
Everybody and their cousin makes these things for use in non-stick cookware, and my wife and I must have bought them all in a desperate effort to find one with the right balance of flex and stiffness that really can get under foods (even delicate fish filets) and, yet, not stick to the food or damage the pan. Lots of them LOOK good, and SHOULD work, but they don't (in a...

3.0 out of 5 stars Better than Most but Still not Great
I use this with my nonstick fry pans so I don't destroy the non-stick surface. The Turner is ok but still has some flaws. It is not non-stick so when turning items that are still moist sticking occurs. The Turner is also a little thick which makes it difficult to turn but I admit I am accustomed using my thin metal turner.
The last issue is that the end-edge of...

Everybody and their cousin makes these things for use in non-stick cookware, and my wife and I must have bought them all in a desperate effort to find one with the right balance of flex and stiffness that really can get under foods (even delicate fish filets) and, yet, not stick to the food or damage the pan. Lots of them LOOK good, and SHOULD work, but they don't (in a fit of frustration with eggs, my wife tried and sequentially THREW AWAY every one of them we had about a week ago). So, I read the reviews here and bought both types that WMF makes, and, well, this is as good as it gets. Silicone is heat resistant but it isn't stiff enough for a good spatula for this purpose, so, YES, you do have to be careful to not leave THESE sitting in a HOT pan. So, buy these and throw those others away.

5.0 out of 5 stars A++ Quality, November 9, 2001

This spatula is simply awesome. I first bought one here in Germany a few years ago, and have since bought 4 more as gifts for friends & relatives. After using this unique design, you won't go back to your regular spatula anymore. WMF (made in Germany) is the Mercedes Benz of kitchen utensils, and once you try this brand you won't want to use anything else.

This is a nice turner. Well made and sturdy. Good for getting under such things as burgers. I'm sure it will last many years.

I use this with my nonstick fry pans so I don't destroy the non-stick surface. The Turner is ok but still has some flaws. The Turner is also a little thick which makes it difficult to turn but I admit I am accustomed using my thin metal turner.
The last issue is that the end-edge of the turner is slightly mis-shaped now after using a few times. This is obviously due to heat but I try to minimize any contact the Turner actually has with the pan.
So this is a decent Turner but be prepared to replace it sooner than later

5.0 out of 5 stars Finally a turner that is easy to clean!, January 16, 2003

This is just what I was looking for! I always wondered why somebody did not make turners that were non-stick like the frying pans that they are trying not to scratch. Not only is the turner easy to clean, doesn't scratch the pan, but makes turning cheesy omelets really easy. I am totally satisfied with this purchase.

I bought one of these a few years ago. I love a good spatula, and this is one of my favorites. It works every angle and edge of a pan. Great for frying, and even for soup stirring and blending.

It has been so much admired by friends, I have bought several more as gifts so I can keep my own safe in its drawer.

Works very well, ergonomically, but after a few uses it showed a bit of melting at the leading edge--which is unusual b/c I did not let it sit in the pan. However, I still highly recommend it.

1.0 out of 5 stars Looks great but, September 7, 2009

I bought this because I thought it looked sturdy. It broke the first time I used it. It cracked where the non-stick connects to the metal. I have the all stainless WMF kitchen utensils & I love those. This one was a disappointment.

5.0 out of 5 stars It's the Shape That Makes Such A Great Product, February 2, 2009
This review is from: WMF Profi Plus 13-Inch Nonstick Long Slotted Turner (Kitchen)
I never thought I would write a review for a turner but this one is so superior to any I've ever used. It's all about the shape that means it fits perfectly against the edge of a round pan.

5.0 out of 5 stars Love this -- very handy, August 18, 2008

We use this turner all the time. It turns larger pieces of meat with no problem. It is so easy to slide under anything you wish to turn, and meat doesn't fall off it, because it's so long. I have essential tremors and I need dependable, sturdy utensils, and I grab this turner to use every time I cook. Thank you so much for such an innovative, handy, sturdy kitchen utensil. I can't imagine being without it now. Wait till you try sliding it underneath burgers, fish, pork chops, etc. You will be so glad you purchased this. Also, it's a very nice-looking utensil -- very well-made.
