4.0 out of 5 stars WMF Manaos set
Purchased this set along with 12 teaspoons to complement a set I purchased at Crate and Barrel years ago. Although, it is the same name WMF, I find that this new set isn't quite the same quality. It is a great set for the price and the finish is very nice- I can just tell that it isn't as heavy as my first set.

3.0 out of 5 stars WMF quality, sort of.
I just received the 50 piece Bistro Set.
Although they do come neatly packaged on cards and are labelled WMF, I have to believe that these are a lesser quality version of those I am familiar with from Germany.
These pieces are on the thinner side, and have a tinny sound. The weight is very similar to average flatware found at department stores.

The mirrored handles are quite lovely, but show every fingerprint...I'm constantly wiping.
Thankfully, this set is to be used for a dinner party, so they will do fine.
I wouldn't want these for day to day use.

5.0 out of 5 stars WMF Bistro Flatware, January 10, 2010

I really like this set. I'm reminded of the exceptional quality every time a use a piece - each piece feels like a precision instrument. The handles have a smooth clean-line design that is flawless; I've inspected every piece and cannot find any defects. These will not disappoint.

I'm very pleased with this product.
The price is fair (comparing to other WMF flatware sets) and after 2 months regular usage (put them to my dish washer everyday :P) They are as shining as the day I unwrapped them. I'm very happy with it ^^

The items (forks/spoons/knives/etc.) were thrown into an unsealed/unlabeled box. See attached image.

I bought this as a gift and it looks like I stole them from a restaurant.

A nearly $600 set with NO packaging. Even $20 bargain sets are packaged. Shame.

Simple. Beautiful. Excellent weight when you hold it in your hands, superior to the department store sets. Be careful, the knives were unexpectedly (!) sharp. No rust or workmanship problems as with the less expensive brands. Well worth the investment.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very happy!, December 27, 2011

I love this set. It looks beautiful and has a very nice, heavy feel in your hand. The handles are slim and the shape is much prettier in real life than in the pictures.

The only complaint I have is that the handles are so shiny that they do show fingerprints. It doesn't matter so much with every day use but if you're going to set a formal table, be prepared for a little extra work to ensure there are no visible prints. I used these for a Christmas Eve dinner and just covered my hand with a napkin when setting the table. It's a little annoying but the mirror-like shine on these handles is stunning and, to me, worth the little bit of hassle.

I've been looking to upgrade my flatware for a very long time but everything I found in my price range was either made in China or 18/0 stainless, which is prone to tarnishing. 18/0 will eventually look like crap if you use it a lot so I didn't want to invest a couple hundred dollars in a fancy looking set that wouldn't last. I stumbled on this set during a holiday gold box deal for much, much less than the current price and was thrilled with the find. If you're in the same boat as me -- looking for quality on a budget -- wait it out and keep checking because these DO go on sale.

this product is as advertised, the weight of the spoons and forks and knifes is very good,
the logo is engraved on the knifes, and it is marked on others, the extra 2 pieces is
very handy, the metal itself has a shine, the packing is excellent as it comes warped
individually then every person set packed in paper box, and all is in white cartoon box.
