I have a slightly different version of the set. Same chrome rack, but with 5 tools. Anyway the utensils have long handles and are quite sturdy. They look great on the counter by the stove. The utensils are dishwasher safe. The ladle serves up a good amount of soup.
The only gripe I have about it is sometimes the rack overbalances and tips over. Now I'm careful about not stashing all the utensils on one side and it works fine.

My husband and I ordered this back in December of 2001, when we first moved in together, and it is still sitting on our counter. We cook a lot, and all the items and pieces are still sturdy, and show no signs of breaking or weak spots. Great set! Long lasting, and a timeless look.
