5.0 out of 5 stars The only whisk you need
Gave these to everyone on my list for the holidays. The balls give weight to your arm motion, incorporating liquid into dry ingredients or lightening your eggs or whatever quickly and thoroughly. The whisk also feels solid in your hand without creating cramps no matter how thick the batter. Definitely a worthwhile purchase for any even semi-serious cook.

As mentioned...

3.0 out of 5 stars Works "ok" and makes a heckuva racket
Like many shoppers here, I'm always on the lookout for a better mousetrap. When I first got this whisk I was very excited about it and thought it worked great. After a few months though, I've realized that it is really not any better than my regular whisk: it doesn't do as good a job of aerating things; it is just as difficult to clean; and it makes a godawful racket,...

As mentioned elsewhere, the loss of the loops from the usual whisk design makes this whisk a dream to clean as well. Although I often like Silverstone or similar finishes, it's totally unnecessary here and might lessen its ability to mix and blend.

The 14" size is good for those with large hands but is a bit awkward for those not tall enough to be working from a height while the 11" is simply too small to get to the bottom of a normal 4 quart mixing bowl. This is the "just right" size.

So easy to clean! I'll never go back to the old-fashioned whisk. Try turning it between your hands to make scrambled eggs extra fluffy.

What you cannot tell by the photo is that all of the wires are not the same length but rather they form a slant and the middle wire is shorter with a larger ball. All of the balls are attached in a way that was really intellegent (no place for gunk to hide!). I'm probably going to get another in a larger size to go along with this one. This is the best whisk ever!

I was given this last christmas and really didn't have much time to use it. Last sunday i finally made breakfast for about 25 people to help out a friend at his new catering position. I brought this along to really give it a good test.

I was AMAZED. it's alot easier to use and the weighted end really made quick business of beating eggs. It impressed a couple of the other chefs there enough so they wanted to get their own.

i can't say enough good things about this. you won't be disappointed, you can see by the other feedback that this is a great product.

I bought one of these when I was in Europe this summer because I had never seen one here. I find it to be much more efficient than a regular wisk and it is much easier to clean. Besides, it looks really neat in my accessory jar. People keep asking what it is!

Great buy. Only wish it came in different sizes, so that I could throw away the rest of my wisks.

Okay, so the title of this review is a mixed and bewildering metaphor. But if you want to mix your stuff in a fluffy way, this is the tool. I thought that the design was mainly intended to make the cleanup chore easier (aren't you tired of digging shreds of lemon peel out of your nested loop whisk?) but that's only part of the benefit of this inspired re-design. This tool just works better. I'm buying a few more. I'm sure some physicist will come along and reconfigure the balls to give an even better aerating effect, but there is no better whisk out there in the meantime. Get one. Or three.

I love this whisk so much. It's easy to use and a dream to clean. I just whisk a little water in a glass then drop it in the dishwasher, and ta da it's clean.

This is a fantastic whisk. It works faster and better than conventional balloon whisks. And it is much easier to clean.

Makes the best matzo balls ever. I don't use it for whipping (too noisy, and not as good as my electric hand mixer), but can't be beat for folding yolks into already-beaten whites, and then for folding in the matzo meal at the next step, without losing the fluffiness of the mixture. Just use it like a mixing spoon, and it incorporates the mixture in a snap.

After a few months though, I've realized that it is really not any better than my regular whisk: it doesn't do as good a job of aerating things; it is just as difficult to clean; and it makes a godawful racket, even against plastic bowls. I might try ordering the nonstick version to see if it is any quieter.
