Ones you are getting over the high price of this can opener, and you are trying it for the first time, you are realizing after a few second that the can is already open, you come to the understanding that this is the best can opener ever!!! and is worth every penny Pros: * It has a good balance/ fill to it * Finger safe *Dishwasher safe, (you almost never really need to clean it because it is cutting the can from the out side and not touching the inside ) Cons: * you get that feeling that you want to buy this can opener to every one you know

I got this can opener and thought it would be easy to use, but like almost everything made in Germany it isn't easy until you make it easy. You have to know how to use it and the photos that come with it, well....I am pretty smart with puzzles and mechanical things, but this took some time. This is a great can opener, but here are some tips: 1. You have to put it on the can in a 90 degree angle, basically straight. The little thing on the side that looks like it would grab something..doesn't. The picture shows it going on the can correctly, but it doesn't tell you to put it on at a 90 degree angle. Open the arms, put it against the can, and then close the arms. You will feel that it's secure. Think of the can as the dot on the letter "i" and you will have the opener in the correct position. 2. The part that is the rolling disk goes against the can side. Then you turn the handle and you are looking a the can, and HEY, it feels like it is working but you are sure it ISN'T working. 3. But it is....it's because we are used to old can openers that open the can inside the rim and this opens the can on the OUTSIDE of the raised rim. 4. So after you go all the way around the can, you will still be sure the can isn't open. But...it is. Try to lift the top of the can like it has a lid on it. Yeah, it opens! 5. Yep, it opens the can in a way that you can actually put the top back on the can like it's a lid. So cool and so easy. Like this took me 15 minutes to figure out and there are no YouTube videos, and my husband tried it first and gave up, cursing. So if you buy this can opener, you have to think "out of the can" and you will be really happy with your purchase and want to give them as gifts. Which is what I did. But I include instructions - - ha ha --- but only for the people I like! Enjoy!

This opener not only is very high quality and beautiful looking but also very clever design. It does what it claims:safe: no sharp edges left practical: lid can be replaced hygienic: does not come into contact with the contents versatile: opens all standard types of tins with pincers for removing lid My husband and I just love it and we are thinking about giving it to our friends and families as well :) p.s. We did get confused about how it worked at first until we found out it already opened the lid seamlessly.
