I purchased this sealing ring for my parents who have owned he same WMF pressure cooker for over 30 years. They had not changed the ring on it for almost 5 years and were still using the cooker on a weekly basis. They were going to wait til their next trip to Germany to get a replacement ring because they thought that's the only place they could get one. I decided to take a chance and do a Amazon search for it since they really needed a new ring because the pressure cooker was starting to leak. I was amazed that they had it but was a little skeptical that it would fit their pressure cooker since it was sooo old. I decided to purchase it anyways since it was only $10. Shipping was quick and it fit the cooker perfectly. Thank you amazon for saving my parents a trip to Germany and now they can change the ring more often.

I bought this item alone with the cover and the unit for my daughter,
I used the unit that I bought few months ago, but last week, the ring
broke and the unit spilled out broth all oevr my dinning area and the wall,
and stained three chairs which covered with very nice fabrics.
It was a disaster. So I just want to remind people that keep a spare one on hand,
and always face the steam outlet facing where lesser damage will be made
should ring failed.

This ring makes the pressure cooker seem like new. I use mine every week. Thank you.

Quality rubber ring for years and years of excellent, fast and tasty cooking in the WMF pressure cooker(-s). We have 6 WMF pressure cookers in all sizes and can put the meal on the table in less than 30 minutes from absolute scratch. 50% of the job is the tools! And this is a mighty fine cooking tool!

I have a WFM pressure cooker that is around 8 or 9 years old, and had to change this ring for the second time now. I use it every other day...

Excellent replacement that is almost impossible to find. WMF pressure cooker was originally purchased in Germany over 20 years ago. Seal ring fits perfectly and now it's back in use. Thanks to Amazon.com for their quick delivery (item was originally out of stock) and outstanding customer service. We are very pleased.

Very bad chemical smell after cook. I tried few times, but it happened still. So, don't even try.
