1.0 out of 5 stars Cheap and flimsy, January 13, 2008

We ordered this gas station for our 2 boys (ages 2 and 5) for Christmas. It was unexepectedly cheap and flimsy. All of the pieces that are supposed to snap into place come off too easily. The two nozzles and the airgauge are attached to the toy by pieces of plastic tubing that are: (1) too short to really allow the boys to play with them effectively and; (2) do not attach very well, causing the plastic tubing to come off easily. This toy spends most of its time in pieces and will probably be thrown in the garbage very soon.

1.0 out of 5 stars Amazingly cheap, February 26, 2009

The electronic functions are realistic for a toddler but still too difficult for any child to enjoy--pretend gas customers are requested to operate the buttons and card reader in a proper sequence which no child is going to want to do. The manufacturer would have been better off just making different sounds for each button. The top mounted rotating sign is fun but the base that holds the sign broke within two days. It now just makes a whirring sound: whoop-de-do. The hoses fall off the pumps too easily. Decals are thin and only one oval is provided for the top sign... if it's suppose to rotate, gimme two!!! After seeing this and a couple others at local stores, my wife said this was the best one... boy, those other ones must be really junky!!!

2.0 out of 5 stars Cheap and LOUD!!!!, September 28, 2008
= Durability:2.0 out of 5 stars  = Fun:4.0 out of 5 stars  = Educational:4.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Super Gas Station Playset (Toy)
First off this toy is cheap and more of a pain than fun. It is so light that the kids always get upset trying to fill their cars up with the nozzles only for the thing to fall over on them and their cars. The nozzles are attached by a short plastic tub which is so short that it always falls over then trying to remove the nozzles.

The air hose is also attached with the plastic tubbing and it is worthless. It wont stay in place and if you try to grab it it pulls the whole thing over on its side.

Last is the sound. Holy cow its loud. We had to cover the one speaker with tape to muffle it. Very Very loud.

Oh yeah, one more thing. The stickers only cover one side. So the sign on top of the pumping station that spins around only has one side that is a sticker, the other is just the blue plastic.

So cheap and so not worth more than $9.99!!! I would expect something this cheap to be sold at walmart or kmart!!!
