I bought this to prune a small rose bush. It works fine, except it got stuck once or twice, which I suppose is not horrible. I wish Amazon had the size chart from the back of the packaging posted--I would have gotten the medium size one for my 7" hands.

I ordered a few different Wolf-Garten pruners after a good experience with another purchase. This is great for women and children. My hands aren't really small, but most pruners are a little too long for me and open too wide. These stay sharp even if I don't clean them meticulously and they do a great job cutting.

A little less sturdy than most Wolf-Garten products and I am concerned about attachment of spring and durability of locking mechanism. However, they have worked fine, cut small branches and woody stems okay so far.

They really are for a smaller sized hand, the Lady of the House, loves them as they fit her smaller hands perfectly. And it was her who I bought them for, not for me to do any heavy weight work. A little pricey for the type of construction, but not too bad.
