About the Author

Diana Black, a graduate of Indiana University, combines her love of words and the visual arts to create everything from children's stories and freelance articles to Web designs and book illustrations. A certified grant professional and published songwriter, author, and cartoonist, she has a daughter and granddaughter, and lives with her husband near the quaint, historic town square of Marietta, Georgia.
Mary Cunningham makes her home in the beautiful mountains of West Georgia with her husband and adopted woofie, Lucy and are parents of three creative children. In addition to WOOF, she is the author of the tween fantasy series, Cynthia's Attic, and a member of SCBWI, The Georgia Reading Association, The Pulpwood Queens Book Club, and the Carrollton Creative Writers Club.
Melinda Richarz Bailey earned a B.A. in Journalism from the University of North Texas. A free lance writer for over 40 years, she has authored several books and articles published in True West, Kids, Etc., Reminisce, Cats Magazine, Frontier Times, Nashville Parent, and Cincinnati Family Magazine.
The co-recipient of the Academy of Western Artists 2004 Will Rogers Award for Song of the Year, she currently resides in Tyler, Texas.

This is a wonderfully delightful book. If you're fifty or close to it, you know the myriad of changes we experience; mentally, physically, psychologically and emotionally. This book offers a light-hearted look at those changes and you'll find yourself laughing and rejoicing (yes, rejoicing!) in being female and *suffering* through this STUFF!

A great gift idea, it's also something that a significant other or anyone else in your world who has possibly witnessed things like mood swings, hot flashes (I prefer "power surges"), or any other of the fun things we go through, might enjoy. It would shed some light on what's going on and be entertaining at the same time!

Lighten up a little and do something for YOU! Buy this book and get a refreshing perspective on this new stage in your life! It really is true that life begins at fifty! Enjoy it!

Over fifty? Overy forty? Who doesn't need a little humor about the mid-life years? WOOF: Women Only Over Fifty is a hilarious read about the many challenges of aging gracefully. And even though the title reads "Women Only" husbands, friends, fathers, and sons of WOOFers will find this a truly fun read as well.

If you're a woman over fifty, I know you're feeling it. It begins like a tiny rumble, and grows steadily into a full-fledged howl: "I'm me... I'm me... at last, I'm finally ME!!"

This is the feeling the authors of WOOF: Women Only Over Fifty term "realignment." Diana Black, Mary Cunningham, and Melinda Richarz Bailey believe, rather than "reinventing" ourselves in midlife, women come back to who we truly are. We return to our unique identity apart from husbands, children, careers, and other roles we so willingly adopted in our younger years. In celebration of this amazing revelation, their book is packed with free-spirited, fun and pawsitive thoughts on growing older.

WOOF is filled with humorous reflections on an entire range of issues we face as aging women.
