I got this for my one year old to make the bath time even more enjoyable. But this toy doesn't stay completely afloat and it barely moves in the water. On the other hand if you have a hardwood floors ... beware! This toy will pick up such a speed that when it hits the wall it flips itself upside down, and it suppose to change direction (like described in product details). I am giving it five stars for durability, because it is still in one piece.

I bought this toy about 2 years ago for my infant son to play with in the tub. A few months after playing with it, the toy no longer wound up; we have well water, so either some sediment or mineral deposits could have formed on the gears. That was disappointing, but the toy is still played with two years later by both my son and daughter even if it doesn't move on its own.
