5.0 out of 5 stars My Two-Year Old's Favorite Birthday Present
My son received this as a gift for his 2nd birthday and fell in love at first sight. He only had eyes for this fire truck for the rest of his party. Two days later, it is still his favorite toy. I like that it does not require batteries, but still makes some noises. I really think this toy has staying power because there are some features of the toy that my son has not...

3.0 out of 5 stars Is not durable
This toy broke my heart because my son LOVED it. He played with it non-stop the evening we first got it for him. Unfortunately, it immediately broke - the engine just stopped revving up and the truck no longer moved forward. I quickly exchanged it, thinking it was a defective product. The second truck we got lasted just a few weeks longer. My son seems to love WOW...

I think he'll have fun with it for a long time.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wow! toys have been great for our 2.5 year old boy, April 10, 2007
This review is from: WOW Ernie Fire Engine (Toy)
He absolutely loves these toys, specifically the little people...which he has a tendency to lose and unfortunately Amazon does not seem to carry the people as separate sales items, although they are offered on Wow!'s website in Britain...losing these little guys has been a bit tramatic...please start selling the little people Mr. Bezos!

I'm one of those people that likes to get the best product that I can reasonably afford.

As far as fire engines go - this is it.

It makes a siren sound, but not a loud electronic one. The ladder turns and goes up and down, the firemen can ride in the front or the back of the truck or even in the bucket at the top of the ladder. and it has a storage compartment. Kids LOVE storage compartments and mine is no exception.

It has an inertial way of propelling itself - you give it a push and it will go for a reasonable distance.

This is a toy that kids can play with from 1 to 4 at least.

5.0 out of 5 stars WOW Firetruck, August 16, 2009

My son received this truck as a gift and as it was his favorite toy I bought another for our second place. It makes great noise, it is self-propelled and offers the child the chance to grow with the toy. At 12 months he just looked to push it around, at 18 months he is much more interested in the figures. Nice toy!

5.0 out of 5 stars His Favorite Gift., October 4, 2010

My son just had his second birthday party. He loved it! Good food. Lot's of people. Festive environment. The highlight turned out to be about a half dozen helium balloons, all tightly up against the ceiling with their ribbon banners trailing down. He pulled on them and dragged them around the house with glee.

Then came the presents. Well, it's hard to judge what a two-year old might like. Some presents caused almost no reaction, some caused a bit of a stir, and then a little red WOW Fire Engine really got his attention. He immediately started pushing it around and loved the way it made little fire-engine noises. He cranked the ladder up and down and rotated it side to side and in made little clicking ratchet noises. Well, that was just the first reaction. The next day when all the excitement of the party had died down, his favorite toy turned out to be, you guessed it, the little red WOW Fire Engine. I suspect it's going to get a lot of use.

My son has had this toy for about 5 months now and it's his all time favortie. he plays with it all day every day!! He plays with it so much that the tired tred has run out a little but it still works. the only down side for us parents is that it's extremely LOUD! But, overall GREAT TOY!

I had no idea how wonderful this was until it was opened. We thought it was cute & liked that it didn't require batteries. We were completely & pleasantly surprised at the quality & fun of this toy. The ladder is used to push the truck around & when the truck is moving it makes clicking noise which is NOT annoying @ all. It is actually a cute sound that is hard to describe. The little men fit into several areas on the truck. If you put it one area & just turn the body it rotates the ladder!!!! This needs adult help @ first, but eventually they will be able to do on their own. The blue siren will flash when wheels are turning & if you push it is makes a beep noise. The front window completely opens up for you to put the men in - AWESOME! And, the gas compartment is actually a button to be pushed that when pushed it flips the back end open where they can store things. Mainly the cones that came w/ it.

Very durable. Quality is excellent.

We have purchased several of the WOW toys & they all are great!

Again, pleasantly surprised at the very good quality & number of things to do with this item. Highly suggest.

WOW Ernie Fire EngineVery durable. Bright colors. 2,4 and 6 year olds all loved it. No battery required. It does make a loud noise which Mom found irritating after awhile when pushed with pressure applied. Refreshingly fun toy that allows imagination.WOW Ernie Fire Engine

I purchased the motorcycle and the fire engine for my 2 yo grandson earlier this year and he plays with them all of the time. Very durable and well worth the price paid. He's going to get the garbage truck for his birthday in March.
