I got a lot of insight from this book, but I was really taken back by how much advice was taken from very young guys. When I was in my 20's I had a very different view of the world than when I got a little older. I'm not sure a guy that young really has any good experience to draw upon. I would have liked to hear from older men with more life experience. I did find the book very interesting and I think generally it did answer some of my questions.

WTF Are Men Thinking? is such an insightful and incisive look at men's views on an array of subjects. Not only is it informative, its humorous and a joy to read. This eye-opening work should be an invaluable resource for women country-wide. Brya and Almaraz conducted extensive research that clearly paid off with a comprehensive compilation of data, anecdotes, and thoughts from men from all walks of life. Kudos to them and I highly suggest that you read this book!

IT IS PURE DATA (if the data are good) i.e. this book does not load the data with what women think about the topic or what they are told to think or what history says or religion or school or church or temple or book or constitution or govt or talk show host or father in law or pimp or psychotherapist or mother Teresa or Malala or Gertrude Steiner or Oprah or.... thinks or says; nor what these institutions or people THINK men should think. so there is no ARGUMENT. laugh at it, be surprised, be shocked or be blase as if the data do not mean anything...that is your reaction or interpretation. take it and learn or rather ...relearn. Men between 20-40 are Men at their peak i.e. in the reproductive peak. This study should be extended to many different countries.

yes this book is inexpensive TOO.

Though this book is geared for the 20-40s age group, it would have been better if it includes 50-60s too.

Fairly interesting book, good for a few laughs if youre a guy. Some of the analyses were way off mark , despite the self gathered evidence in front of you. Seems like sometimes even the truth hurts enough that if you avoid talking about it, you can pretend it doesnt actually exist. Sometimes too much honesty can be hurtful. Great book however, and recommended.

Looking forward to a WTF women thinking however that might not fit in one small book =) !!!

There were some interesting anecdotes but overall not worth purchasing. Luckily, I got my copy at the library. Ultimately,ma book cannot answer this.

Not everything in this book applies to every man. I went over several key points with my husband and he didn't agree with everything they wrote, but it was great for getting at the heart of things with him. A great way to talk about his idea about women, me especially.

You know that feeling you get when you ask a bunch men in your life questions about why men do such-and-such or what they really believe about this-or-that, and you come away from all the responses thinking, "Well, maybe it just depends on the guy." A little frustrating, isn't it? This book helped to clarify for me which questions elicit lots of different responses from men (those really do just depend on the guy) and which ones give you THE GUYS' way of thinking. The profile of the straight, English-speaking, North-American male brain in this book resonates with what I have experienced ("Ohhhh...that makes so much sense!"), and if someone had been able to explain this male brain to me earlier, I think it would have saved me some grief. All in all, I really enjoyed reading it. I wonder, though, if the authors really surveyed 250,000 different men. They wrote that they sampled 1000 men for each of the 250 questions, a different sample for each question, but they don't clarify whether they sampled with or without replacement. In the quotes, you see a lot of repeated names. Doesn't really matter - I think the data is still pretty insightful.
