It's horrible! The graphics are so ugly they're hard to look at. The games are mind-numbing. It's symbolic of life - working at a job you don't enjoy just to get a meager paycheck.

But, as other reviewers have said, it's strangely addicting and hard to put down. If you're looking to kill time, this'll do it. But since that's kind of the point of most...

WTF is a really neat game. When I first started playing it, I didn't know what to think of it aside from it was really strange. Then the more and more you play it, the more and more you just can't put it down.

Basically, the game is a whole bunch of mini games that you play to earn money which you can then spend in vending machines where you earn strange trinkets, new mini games, and "tools".

The mini games are like I said, mindless, but fun none the less. They include picking up golf balls on a golf course, counting the number of people who walk by the screen, drag racing, putting tops on pens, counting chickens, etc. etc. I think there are about 40 mini games in all.

The tools are interesting and include a tip calculator, a ramen noodle time which is hilarious, a world clock, and a few other things.

In my opinion it is very similar to WarioWare for Gamecube and DS. If you like mini games, this is a definite must buy. Overall, this is a great game, especially for those days when you're just looking for something to make time pass.

4.0 out of 5 stars Very Unique, December 10, 2006

The game is a compilation of mini games and silly tools to the most insane degree. You gain money and spend more on mini games and tools. Some of the tools I find interesting and absolutely clever.

"Ramen Timer" where you can pay with WTF dollar$ and it will count 3 minutes for you to set the timer. Other tools such as "Handy Light" fill the screen with any color, actually perfect to test for any dead pixels.

The games are truely perfect to relieve stress with no beginning no end. In an age where every game is so complicated, this one is the exact opposite. Mindless fun at its best.

4.0 out of 5 stars Why why why!, November 4, 2007
= Fun:4.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: WTF Work Time Fun (Video Game)
This game is awful, but I found myself playing it for hours! Why why why! You do "work" (capping pens, sorting chickens, making pots, wrestling) for a paycheck. Then you take that paycheck to get useless figurines or new "games" as in new "work." The work is usually quite grueling, but for some reason I still continued to play for hours! When I made my first $50, I put it into the $50 vending machine and got....a figurine. But did that deter me from continuing to play? No!

Some of the games are really hard like "Run Like Hell." But there's something terribly motivational about working really hard and trying to win new games to try out. I feel a little sad that I will cap 1000 pens just for $20. But I figure, if I've played it for hours, I obviously was having fun, right?

But, as other reviewers have said, it's strangely addicting and hard to put down. If you're looking to kill time, this'll do it. But since that's kind of the point of most video games, you could probably get a prettier, more enjoyable game for the same price.

I really don't know how to describe this game, but it is hard to put down. You do simple tasks to earn money such as helping someone cross the street, kind of like a generic frogger or my favorite getting people together for a protest. You get emails from other people that do the same mind numbing tasks as you which can be amusing at times. A game you should pick up if you have a lot of free time on your hands(ie travel, shift-workers, or Chicago Cubs Championship Party Planner.) Essential for military deployments.

3.0 out of 5 stars Crazy japanese mini game collection, February 20, 2007

Its definetly nice to have something to pick up and play on the go in short bursts. Its a fun game but I'm not sure it was worth the $30 to buy it. Its a bit difficult to find elsewhere which is why I bought it here on amazon. The title is even bizzare as it could be mistaken for something other than work time fun.

This game feels like it was made as a joke. Every aspect seems like they made it that way to be funny.
It's pretty much work except you spent $10 to do it. It has around 16 mini-games that you unlock by pure chance and all of them are repetitive work thats sole challenge is "How long can you do this before you get bored?" with a random change every so often so you can't just rig a machine to automatically play it for you.

You play games as exciting as!:

Putting caps on pens! Push X to put the cap on and O to move to the next pen! But don't just mash buttons because sometime you'll get an upside down pen you'll need to flip over by pushing down! It goes until you decide to quit, you don't even lose for messing up you just don't make your 3 cents for that pen.

Sorting Chicks!: Push X to push female chicks in the female box, O to put male chicks in the male box, And Triangle to put dead chicks in the dead box! Push Right to move on to the next chick! Goes on for 10 minutes.

Chopping wood!: Push X to break the log and go on to the next one! But don't mash because sometime it will be a rabbit that you don't want to cut!

Simon: It's Simon, push the buttons in the order it gives them to you.

There are some games that are some games that aren't actually that repetitive but they don't make you much money. Theres a reason the game refers to the Mini-games as "Jobs" because that's what they feel like, work.

The money you earn is in very minuscule amounts. Most games earn an average of 63 cents, $4 if you do REALLY well and play for an hour.
The only place to spend money is at the vending machine. This is how you unlock things. The vending machine is completely random and costs a whole dollar minimum for a chance at unlocking a new job or tool. But most likely you will get a "Trinket" absolutely worthless objects that just pile up on your trinket chart. They don't do a thing, they are pictures with names. They aren't even fun to look at.

There are more expensive vending machines that unlock you better games that are a bit more fun and earn you more money but it's so long to get enough money to use them that when you can finally pay to use the Level 2 vending machine once you will most likely just get a trinket instead of a better job.

You can also get tools, little pointless extras. They are things like stopwatches and astrology charts that really serve no purpose.

The best part of this game is the Ramen timer. A tool that seems to be a ramen timer. Although at first you will wonder why a Ramen timer asks what gender ramen timer you want. It's actually a scantily clad person of the gender you chose telling you how long it will be until your ramen is done.

The reason this isn't one-star is because I can't seem to put it down! It's boring and mindless and I keep going "WHY DIDN'T I BUY A BETTER GAME WITH MY $10!" when I play it but I can't stop playing it because maybe. Just maybe, I can get enough money to be lucky enough to get a better job that's actually enjoyable.

Which is why I say this game feels like a joke. It's like it's an analogy for business life. It's like it's making fun of other games and their achievements of jump in place 50 times in a row.

In the end, it would be better a flash game then a $10 PSP game. Don't buy it unless you need to waste a LOT of time but for some reason need to be able to stop at any moment without caring about losing game progress. the game auto-saves.

3.0 out of 5 stars OK to pass the time with, July 29, 2011
= Fun:3.0 out of 5 stars
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: WTF Work Time Fun (Video Game)
I have always been hooked into mini-games, so I purchased this just so I could have something in PSP to pass the time, because I really dislike having to break my focus while playing platformer games in public places (like waiting for a bus, etc). You can say I get distracted quite easily.

I liked it, but it really wasn't too impressive for my taste. I think for mini-games, I liked puzzle-types better. It was interesting as you try out new games, but I didn't get hooked for hours playing it. I guess it really IS built for those short breaks just to pass the time. If you play it for more than an hour, it would tend to get monotonous.

The games are pretty hilarious, the prizes even more. You get to unlock new games as you go along, and each game you play "pays" you, and you can use the "money" to buy stuff from vending machines. You earn a lot more or less depending on the game you play. The prizes in these vending machines open up features that you can use in everyday life, with a touch of hilarity in it - the one that stood out for me was the Ramen Timer, where it displays a chiseled dude/bikini-clad girl counting down the minutes till your ramen is ready. Cute, and funny.

To conclude, I can only say this is a nice game just for those people who has those little packets of time where they are bored and wanting to keep themselves occupied for a few minutes. Or those people who are new or don't regularly play the PSP and want to familiarize with it without confusing themselves by trying out hardcore games. :)

first off the bad
it takes really long to get enough money in the game to get....things.
the good now
If you do play this at work be prepared to pass your psp around. it's an infectious game all together. This game is full of silly little mini-games and "tools" (like aps on I-phone) you didn't know you would use.
Last word....ramen timer.
