5.0 out of 5 stars Not too big...Not too small either
For those who need something trashy and raw for their kit, this cymbal is the answer to your prayers. The 12" china cymbal is a best buy because of it's nice round price, but personally, I think it's a little too small to produce a full, rich tone. The 18" and larger Wuhans are just too big to get a quick-decaying, yet delicate sound and feel from. The 16" is also a...

A Kid's Review
This review is from: WUHAN WU104-14 China Cymbal 14-Inch Gong (Electronics)
For those who need something trashy and raw for their kit, this cymbal is the answer to your prayers. The 12" china cymbal is a best buy because of it's nice round price, but personally, I think it's a little too small to produce a full, rich tone. The 18" and larger Wuhans are just too big to get a quick-decaying, yet delicate sound and feel from. The 16" is also a pretty good buy, and sounds/feels great. But this 14" has got be my favorite of them all. It's small enough to be "compact", and seems to produce the fullest sound out of all the chinas in the wuhan product line. What's more, the price is still very reasonable. But, I mean, come on...it's 15 bucks, there have to be some flaws to it, right? Unfortunately there are. Wuhan's, being as dark and explosive as they are, must be hand hammered to a thin little pulp of a cymbal. Therefore, the cymbal's thickness is actually very thin and fragile. Heavy usage will cause the cymbal to bend or crack within a matter of months. The catch 22 is that the cymbal's tone is very trashy and aggressive, which is suitable for very loud music. Therefore, you'll probably be using it often for the most abusive, heaviest types of drumming- the type of drumming that breaks cymbals. So yeah, there's my 2 cents. But I say that it's still a good buy, a you can always buy another without having to save up for a long time, and still get that great dark tone.

This cymbal has a great sound to it and is well built. It was a great buy and just the sound I needed. It holds up great, just like any other cymbal as long as you don't absolutely crush it. My band wanted me to get one and it was the best choice I've made in a while. I mean for 30 bucks, to get a great sound like this. This is a no brainer.

5.0 out of 5 stars WOW!, December 2, 2010

This cymbol is nice! I highly recommend wuhan china cymbols. The 14 inch sounds nice. I had more expensive china's and this blows them away. When i heard about these cymbols i thought they would be crap for how low the cost was and how they were poorly made. Yes, they are poorly made and they can crack more easily than the more popular expensives ones, but for the low price and the sound it gives off i think i'm sticking with these china's. I had a Zildjian A custom 18 inch china and a zildjian 18inch china trash and i have to say i like the sound a hundred time better with the wuhan china's then the zildjians. I do however just bought a 16inch paste china and that sounds nice as well, but the 14 inch wuhan china i have sounds just as good and its a heck of a lot cheaper. If used and hit properly i think these cymbols will last. For the most part if u want a great sounding china i highly recommend u looking into a wuhan. I just bought a 18 inch wuhan. I'm excited to hear that. I will deff write my thoughts on that too, but for how good the 14 inch sounds i don't think i will find a problem.

4.0 out of 5 stars Wuhan China Cymbal 14 inches of crash & bash, August 30, 2008
This review is from: WUHAN WU104-14 China Cymbal 14-Inch Gong (Electronics)
Bought this cymbal sight unseen for my sister. She loved it. It makes a trashy midrange clang of odd harmonics that will stop any musically harmonious sound in its tracks. She laughed for five minutes when she first heard it and I knew we had a hit. I think it was her favorite of the six cymbals I gave her.

4.0 out of 5 stars wuhan china 14', December 30, 2009
This review is from: WUHAN WU104-14 China Cymbal 14-Inch Gong (Electronics)
I bought the Wuhan China (14 inches) off of amazon.com. I recieved it today, it sounds exactly like it should. Very dark, trashy, perfect for a double bass pattern and/or heavy rock music. The handle that you put on the stand is not like others, it is an out-dent and no matter what you do it tilts. The cymbal also looks very used but that's because its hand hammered in china, which also means it is very thin. because it's so thin, it will probably break fairly quickly but hey, its twenty bucks and some purchases come with a free one so its easly replaced. Either way, this is a must have cymbal if your a hard rocker

Title says it all. This is HANDS DOWN, the single best china you can buy for the price. You will not get an authentic, trashy sounding china for a better price than this. Don't wait. BUY IT.
