1.0 out of 5 stars Not even worthy of being called an uprgrade to WWE2K14. October 30, 2014
Platform for Display:PlayStation 3|Edition:Standard
Fun: 1.0 out of 5 stars
Introduction - Welcome to WWE2K15 now under the ownership of 2Ksports who think giving you less game for more money is just great business practices!
I won't even write if this is worth a buy, as you'll soon see why. But is it worth a rental at least, or should you just pass on it completely? Read on to find out!

Story - This years games focus is on two feuds, one between CM Punk Vs John Cena, and the other is Shawn Micheals Vs Triple H. Gone is the excellent 30 years of Wrestlemania, from the previous game in 2K14 and now this takes it's place. Again it's the same old same old as last years game, which requires you to fulfill requirements of each match you play in. Some are explained clearly, others are hidden and won't show up until you do certain moves, signatures, finishers etc. Back again this year are video clips that play before most matches, but this time they are fuzzy and not very good quality at all. Reliving these feud moments honestly pales in comparison to last years excellent 30 years of Wrestlemania moments. There is a new mode, namely NXT, but this is so short and sloppily done, that there are not even video clips that play for each wrestler in this mode, and some NXT stars are already on the Raw/Smackdown roster. There's also no defeat the streak like last years game, and nothing replaces it either.

Gameplay - The gameplay in WWE2K15 is a complete step backwards in every single regard to last years excellent WWE2K14. There are so many more issues in this years game, I'd run out of room to list them all, but here's a short list:

1. Grappling system feels like WWE13 all over again, plus the bugs from 2K14, and a whole host of new bugs to boot.

1.0 out of 5 stars One word: SUCK October 30, 2014
Platform for Display:PlayStation 3|Edition:Standard
If you have 2K14 then don't bother to spend your money on this one. This one is just a dumb down version of 2K14 with same game play, A LOT lesser roster with virtually NO legends other than Warrior, Austin, and Nash; little or no new moves, and no new create a wrestler parts. A LOT lesser rings and arenas, and the most unforgivable slack-off is it won't let you use your own music in create a wrestler mode.

It is really a piece of crap game with the sole purpose to trick you into spending money on a watered down version of an existing game. With ZERO improvements, and a lot less features.

The only reason why I gave it a two instead of one star is because it has the Wyatt Family...

Actually, I decided to change it to a one star.

1.0 out of 5 stars This game has No Chance In Hell October 28, 2014
Platform for Display:PlayStation 3|Edition:Standard
They removed all of the features that made WWE 2K14 worth playing. Story Creation Suite, the ability to give your created character a variety of customized entrances, the ability to give them custom songs. There are no new features that make up for any of the removed ones. This is a re-skinned WWE 2K14 that makes everything worse.

Buy WWE 2K14 instead, it has a much better roster, Story Creator, advanced CAW options, less glitches, and a much less annoying soundtrack.

2.0 out of 5 stars Long wait for nothing October 29, 2014
Platform for Display:PlayStation 3|Edition:Standard
I was very excited for this game but it ended up being a let down.

The game play has taken a step backwards to the days of button mashing. If you love constant reversals and glitches, this is the game for you.

Graphics are OK but nothing to brag about. The only thing I really enjoyed was the wrestler entrances. The game music is really good.

I was trying to decide between this game and Destiny. Wish I had gone with the 2nd option.

Overall: The game play reminds me of the WWF Wrestlemania Arcade Game for the original Playstation. Fun for about 15min but then you throw the game in a corner somewhere and forget about it. Would not recommend this game unless you absolutely must have the latest roster of wrestlers. Stick with WWE 2k14, at least the customization was worth it in that game.

Fun: 2.0 out of 5 stars
Earlier in the month, I went over to the local swap meet and acquired WWF: No Mercy, which many herald as being the greatest wrestling game ever released in the United States. Sure it's a 14-year-old game being played on a 17-year-old Nintendo 64, but it's relatively reliable and still pretty fun to play today. As you can expect, I was pretty eager to go up to my local Redbox on 10/28 because that means the latest installment of WWE's video game franchise would be available (their second with the 2K company.) How'd it go?

I put the game in and was immediately impressed with the fact that the game no longer had a soundtrack consisting solely of WWE-licensed music, but also songs from outside acts as well (something I don't remember seeing since WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2008.) When I selected my first match (Daniel Bryan Vs. Dolph Ziggler), I was pretty impressed as to how sharp the graphics have become. The entrances are better captured now, with emphasis on crowd reaction and alternate perspectives.

That's, however, about the point where being impressed stops.

In terms of the bland, not much has changed here. WWE Universe mode is the same as it's been for the past 4-5 years while the story mode has now been broken into two: One that focuses on Ruthless Aggression/PG Era WWE and one that follows the development of NXT Wrestlers Adrian Neville, Sami Zayn, Rusev, Bo Dallas, and Corey Graves (which is an unfortunate reminder of how concussion issues can derail a wrestler's career; but that's another story for another time.
