A bitter sweet year for the WWE,
By
This review is from: WWE - 2005 Collector's Edition Boxset (DVD)
2005 was a bitter sweet year for the WWE. It was the year John Cena became WWE Champion, the year Hulk Hogan faced HBK at Summerslam and the year ECW returned. This was also the year we lost a great man and a great wrestler in Eddie Guerrero. This set includes every PPV from the 2005 WWE calendar
WWE New Years Revolution 2005: Stand out match: Elimination Chamber Match for the World Heavyweight Championship Triple H vs Batista vs Randy Orton vs Edge vs Chris Jericho vs Chris Benoit. 8/10 WWE Royal Rumble 2005: Stand out match: Triple Threat Match for the WWE Chapionship Kurt Angle vs JBL (C) vs The Big Show. 8/10 WWE No Way Out 2005: Stand out match: No.1 contenders Tournament John Cena vs Kurt Angle. 8/10 WWE Wrestlemania 21: Stand out match: Shawn Michaels vs Kurt Angle. 10/10 WWE Backlash 2005: Stand out match: Last Man Standing Match Edge vs Chris Benoit. 9/10 WWE Judgement Day 2005: Stand out match: Rey Mysterio vs Eddie Guerrero. 8/10 ECW One Night Stand: Stand out match: The Dudleys vs Sandman & Tommy Dreamer. 9/10 WWE Vengence 2005: Stand out match: Hell in the Cell Match for the World Heavyweight Championship Batista (C) vs Triple H. 9/10 WWE The Great American Bash 2005: Stand out match: The Undertaker vs Muhammed Hassan. 7/10 WWE Summerslam 2005: Stand out match: Icon vs Legend Hulk Hogan vs Shawn Michaels. 9/10 WWE Unforgiven 2005: Stand out match: Steel Cage Match Matt Hardy vs Edge. 9/10 WWE No Mercy 2005: Stand out match: World Heavyweight Championship Eddie Guerrero (RIP) vs Batista (C). 8/10 WWE Taboo Tuesday 2005: Stand out match: Steel Cage Match for the Intercontinental Championship Triple H vs Ric Flair (C). 9/10 WWE Survivor Series 2005: Stand out match: Last Man Standing Match Triple H vs Ric Flair. 10/10 WWE Armageddon 2005: Stand out match: Hell in the Cell match Randy Orton vs The Undertaker. 9/10 Overall 2005 was a good year for the WWE. There were some great moments and some sad ones too. The WWE and the wrestling world will never be the same without Eddie Guerrero.

2005 Rewind Box Review,
By
This review is from: WWE - 2005 Collector's Edition Boxset (DVD)
Im not going to concentrate on the DVD's, instead i'll review the value of this box. First off, if you didn't buy and PPV's from 2005 yet then this is perfect for you. You're going to save more than $150. The package comes with 15 DVD's. The DVD's are held in by a cardboard version of Cena's belt, which is pretty spiffy. All in all this is definately a better deal than buying all the 2005 DVD's individually, and the box is made out of pretty good material. The only negative would be having to buy DVD's you don't want such as the Great American Bash.

2005 BEST YEAR SINCE ...?,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: WWE - 2005 Collector's Edition Boxset (DVD)
This boxset is a huge bargain and is so worth the money, why because of all the fantastic matches through out the ppvs of 2005.
New Years Revolution - The Elimination Chamber, need i say more. Royal Rumble - HBK vs. Edge, Casket Match, WWE Championship, World Championship, The Rumble match... well then the whole event is brilliant. No Way Out - Angle vs. Cena in a brilliant tournament final. Plus a brutal Barbed Wire Steel Cage Match. Wrestlemania 21 - HBK vs. Angle, Undertaker vs. Orton & Ladder match. Backlash: Return of Hulk Hogan, Last Man Standing. Judgment Day - I Quit, very bloody & hardcore. ECW: One Night Stand - The whole event, seriously. Vengeance: Again, the whole event, Hell in a Cell, HBK vs. Angle 2, 3 WAY WWE Title match. GAB: The only bad event of the year, and it still had some great matches; Eddie vs. Rey, Return of Road Warrior Animal, The Undertaker/Hassan aftermath, Hot & Sexy Bra & Panties Match. Summerslam: HBK vs. Hogan, No Holds Barred Match, WWE Championship, Matt Hardy Returns,10/10 Ladder Match, Undertaker vs. Orton 2. Unforegiven: Brutal, and extreme Steel Cage Match with an incredible end, WWE Championship, good event. No Mercy: Return of Bob Orton, Casket Match with an shocking ending, Eddie Guerrero's final match on PPV before he unfortunatley pasts away, RIP EDDIE! Taboo Tuesday: Incredible and bloody Steel Cage Match, Intense Triple Threat Match for WWE Title, Return of Mankind, Return of Snuka etc. Survivor Series: RAW Vs. SmackDown!, Last Man Standing between Triple H and Ric Flair, WWE Title, Return of Undertaker. Armagedon: Hasn't happened yet, however a Hell in a Cell match that has been confirmed, seems to already make this ppv, the final to 2005, an excellent one.

2005 was the BEST Year in Batista's career with great matches and he won every single match. John cena also became famous from 2005. But WWE lost Eddie in this year. Bad News & Good News. I can see that 2005 is better than 2006, 2007 and 2008. So if you like WWE, you must buy this Box Set.

Fantastic Year!,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: WWE - 2005 Collector's Edition Boxset (DVD)
2005 was a great year because each event included a speciality match. And thats one of the reasons i look forward to seeing a ppv. 2004 could of made some of their matches a gimmick match, like the HARDY/KANE match at summerslam 04 could of been a ladder match etc. Each of ratings has the speciallity match beside them.
My True Ratings; New Years Revolution - 8/10 - Elimination Chamber Royal Rumble - 8/10 - Casket Match No Way Out - 8/10 - Barbed Wire Steel Cage Match Wrestlemania 21 - 10/10 - Money in the Bank Ladder Match & a Sumo Match Backlash - 9/10 - Last Man Standing Match Judgment Day - 8/10 - A very bloody & hardcore "I Quit" Match ECW: One Night Stand - 10/10 - Well, all the matches are hardcore matches. Vengeance - 10/10 - Hell in a Cell Great American Bash - 5/10 - Bra & Panties Match Summerslam 9/10 - Ladder Match & No Holds Barred Match Unforgiven 8/10 - Steel Cage Match with an amazing finish. No Mercy 8/10 - Casket Match with a shocking ending. Taboo Tuesday 9/10 - Steel Cage Match, Street Fight and Lingerie Battle Royal Survivor Series 10/10 - Bloody & Hardcore Last Man Standing Match Armageddon 8/10 - Hell in a Cell So to sum up, it was a great year with one bad event which was GAB. Some of you may dis agree but lets face it, it s true. BUY THIS BOX SET, YOU WON'T REGRET IT! My friend hardly likes Wrestling and he's seen my 2005 collection (NYR - Summerslam) and he loves them.

what's the deal?????????????????????????????????????,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: WWE - 2005 Collector's Edition Boxset (DVD)
where's the wwe(really wwf if ya know what i mean)ppv rewind 1995,1996,1997,1998,1999, 2000, 2001, and 2002 dvd boxed sets. i really don't get why this was released instead of 1998 first. 1998 was their year. 1999 might of(be a problem if actually released in the futute)been a problem because of owen hart's death at(over the edge, the may 1999 ppv)unless it's modified and edited for content, which i think can be done if(they can get the blessings from the hart family to do so?). 2000 was also a very good year, 2001 was pretty good, even 2002 was a good year even though they had their share of problems(you know, losing the court case for the wwf trademark rights, among other things). to me these years are essential, and rightfully need(ed) to be put out first before the wwe era(january 2003 up to now 2006, minus may 2002-december 2002 cause that would be part of the 2002 complete year set, and may-dec 2002 still had the spirit of wwf attitude, at least i feel). and finally because in reality all these years are out of print and cannot be bought(anymore). 2003-2006 are not out of print, and any person can simply go to their local store and pick up the "individual" dvd's with ease. not smart at all to release this now. give the people what they want, 1995-2002 complete year dvd sets. put out a complete year set(1 set every 4-6 months until all are out and present to be bought). no call for this set beeing out now whatsoever. wwe just can never "get it" right. please release all set's these soon. please. i guess it would be "blurred" wwf attitude dvd's, but i'll take that over wwe event dvd's any day. B.T.W. speaking of the blurring wwe, you have got to do a super way better job of blurring the wwf logo(verbally wwf also, with the audio skipping when wwf is said). look at your wrestlemania complete anthology boxed set. you knew exactly what you were doing with the blurring(to big/totally blurred)?. you better straiten up your attitude on how you do things. seriously.

Many of you would question why i wouldn't put the names of stone cold, hulk hogan, ric flair, harly race, kane, and others. the answer is : these wrestlers don't have that great of mat skills (actual wrestling) don't get me wrong i like the other styles, but im talking about actual wrestling. |
