4.0 out of 5 stars good game
This is a very nice game , the more levels you pass the more the game gets harder.
You can't see your opponents position and that means you are in for many surprises!
I enjoyed the idea of having wrestlers compete against each other in cars.
at the start you are introduced to 13 wrestlers , 6 wrestlers are hidden and appear later in the game.

2.0 out of 5 stars Pure Novelty
The premise of the game is quite good, but the gameplay is PSone standards, the graphics virtually are as well, and the involvement of wrestlers is limited to soundbites on the occaision a kill is made, or when their video for an entrance or victory is shown. A fan a wrestling games is 100 times more likely to like WWE Smackdown: Shut Your Mouth and a fan of car combat...

A fan a wrestling games is 100 times more likely to like WWE Smackdown: Shut Your Mouth and a fan of car combat games is 100 more times likely to enjoy Twisted Metal: Black. Actually, fans of car combat games will curse the day this mess hit the stores, I imagine. Fans of both wrestling and car combat games may like this for the novelty sake, but will probably not enjoy playing it much. ...

3.0 out of 5 stars Good Car Combat Game; Could have been better though!, April 17, 2003

For gamers who dig the car combat genre this game is a worthy purchase. This game has your standard machine gun/laser gun weapon for every guy. You can drive around picking up weapons like a grenade launcher, the twisty rockets, and the annihalitor. There are over 30 drivers including The Rock, The Undertaker, Triple H, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Rob Van Dam, and Kane. Each guy has his or her own unique finishing move which you get after building up your special meter. There are many match types other than your normal "blow each other up" like in Twisted Metal. You have you Royal Rumble, King of the Ring, Hardcore, Iron Man, and many more. There are many arenas including RAW, Smackdown!, and the Lumberjack arena. In the season mode, you pick a wrestler and go through 17 different matches as you go through the ranks. You get a belt if you win it. This is where you unlock all the secret characters and arenas in the game. Unlike Twisted Metal however, there are no character based movies for each character, ultimatly making not much of a story. But if you like wrestling, car combat games, or both, then you will like this game. If you are looking for a deep story as well as more levels, I would have to recommend Twisted Metal though.

This game was so horrible all u did was ride around in a dumb car collecting little star things. Once u beat the game, all u get is Vince Mcmahon, waste of my 25 dollars.

1.0 out of 5 stars Horrible Game!!!, March 29, 2003

I was really excited to hear about this game. When i finally received it from Amazon.com, I played it and became disgusted very easily. It is not a fun game. The actual play is too fast and much time is watsed driving aimlessly and not knowing where you're at or the other car is at. I don't reccommend this game to anyone interested in car battles. If you're a WWE fan, than maybe you'll enjoy it just for the the fact it features cars themed to your favorite wrestlers. I really enjoyed WWE Smackdown S.Y.M. and have to say that Crush Hour is a huge let down as a follow up game for the PS2. Shame on THQ and WWE for releasing a game so uninteresting and boring. I'm not shocked though as WWE has not even adveritsed this game on their television programs. It's an embarrassment for everyone involved!

1.0 out of 5 stars THIS GAME [isn't good]! ITS TRUE, ITS TRUE!, April 2, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: WWE Crush Hour (Video Game)
I don't know why I bought this game. Maybe because after Smackdown!...I was impressed with THQ's ability to make a wrestling game. This game is Twisted Metal of old Playstation fame with a WWE theme. If you are a fan of Twisted Metal this game will offer nothing new in terms of gameplay. If you are a WWE fan the only thing appealing is looking at the cars modeled after wrestlers - but that appeal wears off soon. Definatley a disappointment.

3.0 out of 5 stars not so good....., February 9, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: WWE Crush Hour (Video Game)
nobody knows what this game is about. They say in the description that it is a game where you can drive the cars of famous superstars. Well, driving cars has nothing to do with wrestling. THQ shouldn't have made a game like this. It looks so boring....
