Released only months before Savage's tragic passing in May of 2011, this superb action figure depicts the 2-time WWE World Champion, as he appeared for his "retirement match" at Wrestlemania VII in Los Angeles against the Ultimate Warrior in March of 1991. Wearing his psychedelic cowboy costume consisting of blue, white & silver, this is vintage Randy "Macho Man" Savage. His hat and jacket (the only accessories) are easy to put on and take off him, which helps make this action figure an excellent display choice. All that is missing is an action figure of Ms. Elizabeth (in her Wrestlemania VII black & silver ensemble) reunited at his side, or even one of "Scary Sherri."
For Randy Savage fans, this figure is a welcome reminder of why the "Macho Man" will forever remain one of pro wrestling's greatest legends. Long live the Madness! Oh, yeaaaah.
Rating: 10/10 (with so few quality Savage figures even available anymore, this one is well worth hunting for).
P.S. Please note that there are two other Savage figures (with the same basic mold) presently out there: a vintage Savage from approx. 1988 wearing orange trunks & white stars with a purple "Macho Man" t-shirt and doo-rag; and a similar one (with green trunks & the white stars, no shirt) paired with John Morrison in a two-pack promoting the WWE All-Stars video game released this past spring.
