Editorial Reviews

After a three year hiatus, WWE No Way Out is back and recharged! The annual pay-per-view that became notorious for its brutal, main event Steel Cage Matches gets reincarnated, but this time the Superstars of WWE will take the thematic event a step further, as they find new and innovative ways to prevent opponents from escaping. All stipulations in place, which may include Lumberjack, Strap, Chain, Steel Cage, Handcuff Matches or more will ensure no respite from the chaos inside the ring.

4.0 out of 5 stars VERY GOOD EVENT January 22, 2013

1.[WORLD TITLE]SHEAMUS VS DOLPH ZIGGLER-this was a great opening match in my opinion with two underrated guys. The action here was fast paced and even made it look like a Wrestlemania repeat for Sheamus with Vickie Kissing Dolph and it almost being over. Dolph really looked great here controlling a large portion of the match delivering all kinds of moves. Sheamus of course is more of the power wrestler and retains his title after a great showing from both.

2.[TUXEDO MATCH]SANTINO MARELLA VS RICARDO RODRIGUEZ-this match of course was the comedy match that really didn't deliver much. It did make me laugh a few times like the Alberto Roo's.

3.[I-C TITLE]CHRISTIAN VS CODY RHODES-now back to the real action we are treated to another great match between two more guys who are underrated. In this match Cody is looking to get the title back he lost. Cody comes aggressive in this match working Christian over but Captain Charisma is no slouch. Good back and forth with both guys looking good here. Christian in the end hits the spear and retains his title.

4.[FATAL FOUR WAY]TYSON KID & JUSTIN GABRIEL VS EPICO & PRIMO VS THE PRIME TIME PLAYERS VS THE USOS-I am a huge tag team wrestling fan and have always liked these multi team matches. Most of the time they are just fun matches added to the event for guys to hit their high spots. Then of course there are the classic multi team matches and fans who have been watching for years know what I am talking about. This one is the first one of course but sometimes a fun match is all you need. All the teams had their time to shine here with quick action and of course the high spots. The Prime Time Players end up winning the match and a shot at the tag titles.

3.0 out of 5 stars Someone's Getting Fired June 25, 2012
World Champion Sheamus vs. Dolph Ziggler - Holy WrestleMania Batman!!!...seriously we almost had an exact repeat of Mania with the World Title match going on first, Dolph getting a kiss, and almost it being the death of him in this match. Sheamus grounded Dolph & even shoved him off the ropes to the floor at one point before Dolph regained the advantage & worked over Sheamus' neck with various super DDT's including a swinging version, Fameasser, and a face plant off the top rope. Dolph continued to work over Sheamus with attempts at the sleeper with Sheamus being about to keep countering the hold into moves like the back breaker & White Noise. This was a competitive match between both men who are heavily underrated in regards to not only their positions on the card but in the company.

Tuxedo Match: Santino Marella vs. Ricardo Rodriquez - I could try to review this match but what's the point? It was a bad attempt at comedy between these two characters to the point where the crowd was chanting "Boring."

Intercontinental Champion Christian vs. Cody Rhodes - Cody tried to intimidate Christian by shoving him only for Christian to respond by slapping Cody off his feet & taking to offense right to him by knocking Cody off the apron in a unique way followed by a dropkick through the ropes before Cody eventually caught Christian & knocked him onto the apron. Cody focused on Christian's arm after hanging it on the ropes followed by stomps, hammerlock, using the ring post, and even shoving Christian off the top rope with his shoulder hitting the apron on the way down but Christian fought back on the floor including using the steps for a tornado DDT.

5.0 out of 5 stars People Power is No More!!! June 19, 2012
This is a PPV you should get just for one thing. The end of People Power! The show had some great matches, but we all new it was all about the main event! The Steel Cage between John Cena VS The Big Show: if Cena loses, he is fired. But if The Big Show loses, John Laurinaitis is fired! We all came and just watched to see this results. This was a totally classic event because after this match, it became like Project X.

4.0 out of 5 stars WWE No Way Out 2012 review June 18, 2012
The World's title match between Sheamus & Dolph Ziggler was a hard-hitting back-and-forth bout and the same goes for the IC title match between Christian & Cody Rhodes. The Tuxedo match between Santino Marella & Ricardo Rodriguez was a dumb, cartoony comedy filler. The four way tag team match had alot of high-flying action and double team moves from all 4 way teams with a twist ending to boot. The Divas title match between Layla & Beth Phoenix started silly at first but then it better in the end. The Sin Cara-Hunico match had nice high-flying action with pretty good ground-and-pound action to boot. The 3 way bout for the WWE title(CM Punk-Daniel Bryan-Kane) was a hard-hitting,smash-mouth,double-teaming,nail-biting,heart-pounding match. The Handicap match between Ryback against the team of Dan Delaney & Rob Grymes was entirely pointless and it was just put on the card just to make The Goldberg Wannabe look good. The Steel Cage Match between John Cena & Big Show was a slow brawl but still a good brawl to say the least but only downside was the many run-ins from the many wrestlers who were attacked by Big Show in the past which made the bout look like a TNA match but not fully. Im not saying it was a bad match,Im just saying it could have done better without the run-ins. I give this PPV a 8 out of 10.
