WWE Originals is good, but like previous wrestling records, it is not without its flaws. Let's take it from the top:

To start off, Steve Austin's segments with Jim Johnston are pretty funny the first few times you hear them, but sadly they get pretty stale the more you listen. But I will give Austin his props, he knows how to entertain his fans and he is done that in just another way, which is pretty darn good.

Moving on, "We've Had Enough" by the Dudley Boyz would make a good entrance theme, but there's just something about Bubba Ray and D-Von barking out what are supposed to be song lyrics that just doesn't fit right. D-Von is pretty good though, but as for Bubba, the bonus DVD shows he has a piano talent so I think he should stick to the ivories rather than singing.

I really do like Trish Stratus's song, and it is by far the best of the three diva songs. Trish has a great voice and it did wonders for her with "I Just Want You." Lita's song is far too edgey for me and her voice isn't up to par with Trish, and as for Stacy, the techno-mixing was put into her song for a reason.

"Crossing Borders" by Rey Mysterio is a high point on the album. I really like the South American touch he brings to the song with all those Spanish lyrics. Not something you can sing to, but it is something you can tap your foot to.

Booker T's theme is good too. All that rapping and kick-ass rock stuff in "Can You Dig It" suits Booker's character to a 'T.' See what I did there?

Alas, all good things must come to an end. And I say that because of Kurt Angle's song. I really think Angle should have been left out of the production and maybe even have been involved in a skit with Austin. I don't like "I Don't Suck" one bit. And oh yes, Kurt, you do indeed suck!

Then there's one of the best songs on there with Lilian Garcia's "You Just Don't Know Me at All." Everybody knows that Lilian has a good voice so there's really not much to explain. Add in an edgey rock and roll melody, and you've got yourself one kick-ass song!

I have no beef with Los Guerreros despite the fact that their song too closely resembles their entrance theme on SmackDown! The song is good and, dare I say it, funny. The only other problem I have is that Chavo and Eddie split up just days after the release of this album, so the theme behind the song is quickly outdated.

Then there's Chris Jericho. It's a good rock song considering Jericho's history with Fozzy. But if this had been a first attempt for him, I doubt if any of us would want to listen to Y2J EVVVVVVVVVVVEEEERRRRRRRR again! But as I said, the song is good. Enough said.

Rikishi, as many have said already, really does resemble Barry White with a bit higher pitch. "Put a Little Ass on It" strongly reminds me of that annoying Mark Henry theme from WWE the Music: Volume 4 called "Sexual Chocolate." Rikishi's song, though pretty good, runs way too long and they could have easily shortened it up by eliminating some of Rikishi's scat ramblings.

Last but certainly not least is John Cena's "Basic Thugonomics." Although it is just Cena's theme song we're hearing, it still does kick total ass! It has to be heard to believed. I promise that you will want to play again and again on the CD stereo of your vehicle. Wordlife indeed!

WWE Originals proves that wrestlers really do have some talents outside the ring. Let's just hope they wait a while before they release Originals 2.

When reviewing this CD you have to take the music on face value and review it like any other album; not as a "wrestling record". To be blunt, this music sucks. Let's get real, the only positive about the CD is the "cheese factor". The lame skits with Steve Austin are a welcome break. Rikishi's track is hilarious, but the man cannot sing at all. Lita, Stacy Keibler, Trish Stratus...their songs are so bland. Jericho comes off as trying to sound too much like Ozzy Osbourne, and Rey Misterio's tune is a veritable clusterf*** of English and Spanish blended into each other. He'll start a line in Spanish then finish it in English; the end results sound like a jumble. Although I'm no fan of rap John Cena's tune is OK, but nothing spectacular. All in all this is some of the worst music ever recorded.

Ok I had some misgivings about this CD when I ordered it through Amazon.com. I had gotten this CD for my favourite athletes' theme songs and was surprised how well made this CD release was. I absolutely loved and enjoyed the Stone Cold skits, they were hilarious. Disc 1 is the songs and Disc 2 is a bonus CD full of the Making of the Originals.

A must for any WWE fan.
