4.0 out of 5 stars WWE Road to Being the Best Game on the GameBoy Advance...
This game is so awesome, I got this game on Christmas Day and once I the plastic off, I grabbed my GBA and put it in. There are a huge variety of game modes in this game. OK its basically the exact same as the first R2WM but theres no entrances here but the graphics r a million times better than the first one. the shopzone is pretty pointless as u cant buy anything just get stuff and look at it but its pretty cool when u first see it though. You get 1/3 less superstars here but u can clearly identify them. u can win titles with title...

This game is so awesome, I got this game on Christmas Day and once I the plastic off, I grabbed my GBA and put it in. There are a huge variety of game modes in this game. Although this game only has 15 characters, this game is very attractive. The characters are very recognizable. And unlike the first Road to Wrestlemania, each character has a unique moveset. For example: The Rock has his Layin' the SmackDown Punch Rush, Undertaker has the Chokeslam and the Tombstone, Triple H has his Jumping Knee Attack, Chin Crusher, and his Spinebuster. The championship mode on this game is fun, although no storylines. You can win merchandise from ShopZone by by doing special tasks. You can create a PPV, but you must make the events enjoyable not only to the fans, but...Vince McMahon! Overall, this game is a great game, I recommend this to any Pro Wrestling fan. It is a fun and enjoyable game.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wrestlmania X8 By Harish a 10 year old, November 19, 2003

Wow!wow! What a drastic improvement from road to wrestlemania for the gba. The game has got real fighters from wrestlemania 18. Excellent graphics make this game flow. The sound is okay. But as always the main thing is the gameplay and im pleased to say it is immpressive. The wrestlers finishing moves are very realistic and there are new weapons if you choose hardcore.Something , very different from rtw (road to wrestlemania)is instead of playing a long career with passwords , you choose your title and fight just around 7 matches until you play for the title against the holder. There is a shopzone place where you can see your favourite wrestling t-shirts etc. New wrestlers including RVD (mr. monday night),Hulk Hogan (Hulkamaniak) and Booker T (Can you dig it) make the game more interesting. The match types include cage, lumberjack and a 6 man tag . King Of the Ring and Royal Rumble are also included . Very good game. I hope you have found my review helpful.

4.0 out of 5 stars I Actually Give It 4.5 Stars...Great Game For GBA!, May 23, 2003

OK, let's be real. Of course this game isn't nearly as good as Smackdown Shut Your Mouth or the GameCube version of it. It's GAMEBOY ADVANCE! The game is great..for a GBA game. You get just 15 superstars to choose from but the facial and physical features of each person is very realistic.

Their regular moves are accurate to what each person has for the most part and the moves look great when executed. The special moves are accurate...(The Rock does the Rock Bottom, Rob Van Dam does the Five Star Frog Splash, Undertaker delivers The Last Ride, etc)...and they're hard to do at first but you get the hang of it. To do the special move you press A+B at EXACTLY the same time in a tie-up.

Yes, the game play itself is slow but you can expect slow-paced game play when you play GBA games. The game includes four titles (Undisputed, Intercontinental, Tag Team, and Hardcore) that you can wrestle for in championship mode...no storylines in championship modes. Except for big time superstars like Hogan and Undertaker, you have to earn respect from Vince before you can go for main titles by: winning lesser titles (hardcore, IC), competing in King of the Ring or Royal Rumble.

There is tons of stuff to unlock. To get new arenas you have to create Pay Per Views that impress the fans and impress your boss, Vince McMahon. The other way to unlock stuff is with ShopZone. New Items are unlocked when: A. your PPV is a success and you get to the next one...you win DVD's, Posters, T-Shirts, stuff like that| B.You unlock new things when you win KOTR or Rroyal Rumble| C.When you complete championship mode you unlock items for the superstar you did it with.

All in all, it's a great game that all fans of WWE will like once you get the hang of it. A fun thing I like to do is link up with my buddies that have this game a go head-to-head with them.

4.0 out of 5 stars HELL YEAH!!!!!!!!, June 18, 2004
A Kid's Review

Road to W.M.18 IS REALLY GREAT FOR A GAMEBOY GAME. The graphics are amazing, and the entrances are pretty good, as well as the all the finishing moves. You can play in Cage, Hardcore,Handicap
Lumberjack, Fatal Four Way, ironman, and submission, king of the ring and royal rumble. You Can also choose from 5 different pay-per-views to make, including wrestlemania. The only problem with this game is that there's only 16 superstars and none of them are stone cold. They also Shopzone, where you can get cool stuff by winning things like the hardcore, tag team, intercontinental, and Undisputed titles.(remeber this, to get a high enough score for pay per views, make all matches long and brutal with tons of moves). Overall, this game ROCKS!!!!!!

3.0 out of 5 stars Good overall, November 16, 2002
A Kid's Review
This review is from: WWE Road to WrestleMania X8 (Video Game)
Much better than R2WM, but is below my expectations.
Pros:
1 Graphics are vastly improved and the wrestles' moves look more realistic.(Eg. RVD has his own version of suplex.)
2 Many more types of matches like fatal 4 way, elimination, 2 out of 3 falls... and options like managers and interferences are included.
3 More choices of fun finishing moves and trademark moves.(Eg. Rock's smack down punch, Angle's continuous German suplex.)
4 More arenas like survivor series.
5 Title histroy is included.
Cons:
1 Entrances only included music, no video.
2 Finishing moves can sometimes be difficult to use.
3 Only included 15 or 16 superstars, much lesser than R2WM.
4 New PPVs can only unlocked if your matches are exciting in the previous PPVs.
5 Shopzone seems useless.
6 Championship mode tag teams are weird.(Eg. Nash and bubba are a tag team.)
With many weak points,I think the game is still stunning and I recommand it, if you do not have PS2, gamecube, or Xbox...

= Fun:4.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: WWE Road to WrestleMania X8 (Video Game)
the graphics were a big disappointment again the rock could get almost any female he choose but made him look like he like a retard crackhead trish looked like the green wicked witch while all da other wrestlers look like a accident that couldn't wait 2 happen the gameplay is decent but isn't as good as n64 it does look right when doing the wrestler's moves they look like they are doing little females tap dances instead of taking to them like it was no 24 hrs again no even ppv no judgement day as unusal no vengenace, backlash, king of the ring, invasion and list just continues the use of the controller is bad again almost as bad as wwf warzone da controller was so confusing i thought it was my tv controller that ran out of batteries because no matter how hard i pushed on the buttons it felt like it was responsing as quickly as i would have liked it 2 responded the create a wrestler was ridiculous this year i mean what were the creators thinking of the create a wrestler looked like creating a cry 4 help that is how bad some of the songs were good so i won't complain 2 much about that i still played the game alot and would played the game again n da future

= Fun:4.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: WWE Road to WrestleMania X8 (Video Game)
It's a really fun game. But there are a few setbacks:
+You can make your own pay per view
-You can almost never do the specials
+You can re-live Wrestlemania 18 matche
-It's missing some good wrestlers like:Big Show, Mysterio, Eddie Guerrero, Brock Lesnar, ect.
