I own the three games individually. For the price they're selling the collection at, its practically a steal for anyone who hasn't touched the series in awhile but wants to catch up. The soundtrack for '05 is great, but the gameplay is mixed. '06 was the most entertaining for me, as the storylines were the best in a long time. And '07 has some terrible stories mixed in with the good ones, and even though I hate THQ for continually changing what each button does (if FPS's did this as much, we wouldn't play them either), once I got used to it, the additional "control" moves were kinda cool. But it took some getting used to....
I played GM mode in '06 endlessly but don't think I can slow myself down to that pace again for '07. And I was pretty much done with all aspects of '05 within a month. The game was very shallow. I'd say paying $30 for this is well worth it. If you're stoked about wrestling games in this series, either '06 OR '07 should satisfy you. I can't predict which one you'll like better, because people are finicky. But if I'm wrong, you shouldn't be TOO disappointed for that price. Oh, and like I said in the title, the product description on this page is WRONG. They are advertising the NEXT game in the series AFTER this collection, the 2008 edition which is not featured in this set. There are bigger differences in the gameplay, and though I haven't played more than a demo, the 2008 edition got some of the highest reviews the series has had in a long time. Meanwhile, 2007 was ridiculed for awful storylines, and no one said much of anything about 2006 (though it was a VAST improvement over 2005.) That's all I got for now kids.

Hi everybody, These games are all sweet in their own way but getting them all for only 25 bucks, what a deal. I bought them all individually when they all came out and i spent about 70 for them all individually and they are well worth it but 25 dollars is just such an amazing prize. I hope they keep coming out with more of these sets I got the harry potter set like that and i'm glad i waited. keep the sets coming. thanks

I bought this for my 9 year old son for his birthday and he loves it. He had been wanting a wrestling game for a long time. This was a great deal!

IF, and that is a big if, this was a combination of the 3 games into one game then there may be something worth getting here.
Since it is just a repackage of the old games and does not even include 2008 there is no point in buying this. Frankly, once the WWE games removed the ability to use all of your created characters in the same season there has been little point in trying to enjoy them. Buy "Smackdown:Shut You Mouth" or "Smackdown:Here Comes The Pain" and you will thoroughly enjoy yourself compared to this SvR bundle. |
