This Game is so good. In the last 3 months I have unlocked The Green and Red Dummy. Dusty Rhodes, Million Dollar Man, Mr. Mcmahon.I recommend this game to you. When it came out it used to cost $49.99 now it cost $19.99. Oh and also Smackdown Vs Raw 2011 remember to order it when it comes or to pre-order it right now! I love The Smackdown Vs Raw Franchise! THQ GOOD JOB! Oh if you want to unlock Dusty Rhodes in Randy Ortons Road To WrestleMania. In Week 13 in Wrestlemania pin Cody Rhodes if you want to unlock the Million Dollar Man pin Ted Dibiase. If you want to unlock the Green and Red Dummys in week 3 in Randy Ortons Road To Wrestlemania refuse Cody Rhodes help. Then you have to reverse 3 of Batista's attacks. To unlock The Rock with a cheat code enter the code "The Great One" .Don't put the quotes. If you know how to play as cThe Doctor or as the Referee please tell me how to do it. First comment my review and then tell me how to unlock them.

The good news about this game is that it is very similar to the full fledged versions on the other consoles. Create-a-Story, Create-a-Finisher, and the full Road To Wrestle-mania storyline is there. The Create-a-Wrestler also seems to be as in depth as the other games.

Unfortunately, that still does not take away from the fact that this game has some significant game play issues.

Control:

No more Waggle. Sounds great right? It would have been if the controls were implemented appropriately and the action wasn't so ridiculously clustered. If you have a match that involves more than three players, this is going to be chaotic. There is no strategy involved besides just keep pressing right on the right control stick to quick grapple.

Essentially, to have all the varied options you would have without waggle controls, THQ forces you to use the classic controller or the gamecube controller. This is all fine with me, except the controls are just strange.

If you want to use the gamecube controller, strong grapple is done by pressing on the (c) stick and holding down Z. Not fun and a little awkward. Why not just a button press. (I know this is how it is on the other versions, but those controls just bug me too).

The use of the B button to pick up ladders and other items is also really inappropriate. Half the time it doesn't register, or picks up the wrong item.

I still have no idea why they don't go back to No Mercy gamecube controls. I hate the fact you have to grapple with the control stick.

Reversing is almost impossible, as well. They took out the idea of reversing grapples with one button, and reversing strikes with another. Perhaps to make up for that, Pinpoint accurate timing is needed.

This means, your best bet at winning is to stay on the offensive as the other players are going to have a really difficult time doing anything about it.


Mini-games:
This was a nice add-on. Whether you're eliminating someone in the Royal Rumble or just trying to kick out of a pin attempt, the mini-games add a little more to the experience. They involved hitting a green bar at the right time, or hitting buttons in sequential order. It adds a little more fun to the game and means you don't have to keep smashing the A button (though that is also an option if you don't want to play the minigames).

HUD:
There is a lack of HUD, which I thought I would like at first. However, after playing without the HUD, it's actually quite annoying. Your health meter is not apparent, and the game turns into a bit of a convuluted mess.

Good luck with a ladder match involving 6 wrestlers. It took 45 minutes to finish a match, and that is only after 20 minutes in, my roommate and I decided to hang outside the ring and let the computer try to win the match. It took four computer players 25 minutes to win the match.

Conclusion:
There is some fun to be had... but the controls and lack of strategy is just horrible. Dang it THQ -- just put in old No Mercy/Day of Reckoning controls. We've waited 15 years for you to get your heads out of your butt.

My kid was really excited to get the game he loved it, he has been playing it nonstop since he got it!

I've been very happy with this game. Only thing that is missing is keyboard support for the creat a story mode...

A good game, victim as usual to lack of various match types and modes that the other console versions get. In this year we get pretty much everything except online play and superstar threads, which I think is a huge step up.

New this year is mainly the "Create a Story" feature that lets you build your own interactive WWE stories.

However, the motion controls and gameplay from 2009 are scrapped for a shoddy port of a traditional control scheme to the WiiMote and Nunchuck.

I think that unless you want the new modes, characters or attires, or the ability to make custom stories you would probably enjoy the 2009 version better, and its probably cheaper.

All in all a great game. Hubby and kids love to play...especially the matches where they can light each other on fire!

This game is great, the controlos are easy and it is just 100% action packed. There are lots of game modes: wrestlemania, career mode and lots more. You can unlock superstars including Mr Mcmoan (he can also fight!) and Jesse; I wont tell you all of them, you have to unlock them! There is an overall for all the superstars. When you crete a superstar, his avarage overall is about 36/100. The more you fight with him, the better the overall gets. You can also create your own finishers, signatures and your own story! there is a new backstage brawl as well. There are new ways to elininate opponents in Royal Rumbles.And last but not least, you can play the new championship scramble! Thanks for reading my review!

I purchased this as a gift for my son at Christmas & he has been playing this game almost daily. The Graphics are Excellent, the players look real, their moves are awsome. From a distance you would think WWE is live on your tv. If you like the WWE then you will love playing this game. Give it a try & see for yourself.

My 6 year old granddaaughter is a big wrestling fan. She and her mom love to play it. Highly recommended.
