This review is from: WWE Survivor Series 2002 - Elimination Chamber (DVD)
This was the PPV that saw the introduction into another WWE creation called "The Elimination Chamber". Not ever seeing this match or this type of cage before, it was definately something watching. All the emotion, suprizes, and matches made this one of the greatest WWE PPV's they've done since they split the roster into two shows.

Tables Match: Bubba Ray & Spike Dudley, Jeff Hardy vs. 3 Min. Warning & Rico - This was great match full different table spots from various parts of the arena. The ending with the reunion of Bubba Ray & D-Von was without a doubt the moment of the night with me.

Crusierweight Champion Jamie Noble vs Billy Kidman - Above average crusierweight match but didn't do a good job following up the previous match.

Hardcore Match: Womens Champion Trish Stratus vs Victoria - It says something when these two had a better hardcore match than a majority of the males wrestlers who've had one. This looked like a real fight using all these weapons & Victoria in this "psycho bytch" gimmick just makes this match better.

WWE Champion Brock Lesnar vs Big Show - This was a match that was more about getting a storyline over than having an actual match. Brock had a broken rib so he was limited in what he could do but in 4 mins., he did an F-5 to Big Show, had Heyman turn his back on him (which was being set up for weeks) & have Show cheat him out of the WWE Title.

Three Way Elimation Match: WWE Tag Team Champions Edge & Rey Mysterio vs Kurt Angle & Chris Benoit vs Los Guerrerros - Without a doubt, match of the year for me. You haven't seen off the chain tag team wrestling in WWE since this match. A wrestling clinic put on here by all six men.

Elimination Chamber Match: World Heavyweight Champion Triple H vs Shawn Michaels vs Rob Van Dam vs Kane vs Booker T vs Chris Jericho - This match didn't disappoint & honestly, was the best Chamber match to date. Everyone looked like they legitly could win the belt as one point or another and this match had alot of moments in itself. Like RVD jumping off the walls like he was SpiderMan and even leaping off the top of one of the cells onto HHH & injuring his throat in the process...and even HHH's performance after that injury is something worth watching.

Overall, a perfect addition to anyone's collection.

5.0 out of 5 stars wwe finally gets it right., May 31, 2003
By A Customer
1.3MW/rico vs. Bubba dudly/spike dudly/jeff hardy(table match: great match, fast paced and some cool table spots. Just as good or maybe even better than the 2000 royal rumble table match.10/10

2.Kidman vs. Jamie noble(cruiserweight title):good match, a ton of nearfalls and jamie hits the coolest ddt ive ever seen.8/10

3.Trish vs. Victoria(womens title):better than i was expecting, nothing all that great though and a weak finish brings it down.6/10

4.Big Show vs. Brock Lesnar(wwe championship):short but pretty good.it's just a shame that brock had to lose his first match to the untalented big show because of the injury. 7/10

5.Edge/rey vs. los guerrero's vs. angle/benoit(tag titles): dissapointing, i thought this was going to be the match of the night but turned out to a be a let down. but it still wasnt bad, it was just alot slower than i expected.

6.Steiner debutes and kicks off his horrible reign in the wwe. but dont worry because several monthes later he becomes part of a jobber tag team with test so that's pretty cool.

7.Elimination Chamber-RVD was on the mark on every single move, he came up with some crazy moves naturally the first half of the match is good but once rvd get's pinned the match slows down but there were some cool spots where jericho and hbk get tossed through glass. once it gets down to HBK and HHH things pick up again.

so all in all this is one of the best ppv's wwe has put on in a long time.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great PPV, July 29, 2003
A Kid's Review
This review is from: WWE Survivor Series 2002 - Elimination Chamber (DVD)
Survivor series was awesome. Every match was superb except the women's match. I will review an rate every match out of 10.

6man table match: Bubba Ray Dudley, Spike Dudley, and Jeff Hardy vs. 3 minute warning. This was one of the best openers to a ppv I have ever seen in my life. I know a good table match when I see one. 7/10

WWE Cruiserweight Championship: Jamie Noble vs. Kidman This was a great cruiserweight title match. Lots of high flying moves 6/10

Women's Championship: I absolutley HATED this match. It was so boring from start to finsh. I'm like wake me up when it's over. BAD match 2/10

WWE Tag Team Championship Triple Threat: Edge and Rey Mysterio vs. Kurt Angle and Chris Benoit vs. Los Guerrero's This was a great match. You knew it would be good because of all when all 6 of those competitors get in the ring. Great Match. 9/10

WWE CHampionship: Brock Lesnar vs. Big Show This was a decent match except the fact that it is a little short but still good. 8/10

Elimination Chamber Match for The WOrld Heavyweight Championship: Triple H vs. Kane vs. Booker T. vs. Rob Van Dam vs. Shawn Michaels. Two words. SHOW STEALER!!!. This was insane and FAntastic. Triple H gets seriously hurt in this match. 100000000/10

So if your thinking is survivor series worth buying. Yes it is. Go buy it just ignore the women's match. And you'll see how triple h was hurt.

5.0 out of 5 stars Bare witness..., January 3, 2006
This review is from: WWE Survivor Series 2002 - Elimination Chamber (DVD)
I have been a wrestling fan since 1996 and have watched all kinds of wrestling. I have a wrestling DVD/VHS collection spanning over 50 all together. This is the most complete and accurate review of this event you will find. I hope you find this review helpful; remember to vote helpful or not helpful. (Note-Each DVD I review has a "Match of the DVD" award somewhere in it.)

WWE Survivor Series 2002
This event is my favorite event of all-time. Everything on the card was excellent. 5 titles were on the line on this card. I love the staging and color scheme used for the event. The crowd seems very energetic all night and it really helped the card. Everyone seemed to play an equal part on making the entire event remarkable. I recommend this to anyone who loves wrestling.

Six-Man Table Match
Jeff Hardy, Bubba Ray Dudley, & Spike Dudley VS 3-Minute Warning & Rico
What an amazing way to start off this event. This match is fast paced and at some points, very brutal. There is a lot of highflying including one of Jeff Hardy's sickest moves to date. The ending is very surprising as well.
RATING- 9.5/10

Between these two matches, Saliva performs "Always" live at The World.

WWE Cruiserweight Championship
Jamie Noble(c) w/Nidia VS Billy Kidman
The Smackdown side of the show begins with a bang in this match. There are lots of high impact and highflying moves in this match. Jamie Noble hits one of the sickest DDT's I've seen in my life. The action doesn't seem to slow down at all.
RATING- 8.5/10

Women's Championship- Hardcore Match
Trish Stratus(c) VS Victoria
This is the first Hardcore match for the Women's Championship in a long time. If you want to see the first Hardcore Women's Title match, check out WWE Hardcore. Usually in a Women's match you don't expect much, but this match was excellent. There were a lot of weapons used and good action. King and J.R. offer up some funny commentary during this match as well.
RATING- 8/10

WWE Championship
Brock Lesnar(c) w/Paul Heyman VS Big Show
Brock Lesnar has been champion since Summerslam of that year. He has beaten opponents like The Rock and The Undertaker. Three Questions and a Statement made this match extremely great and told the story very well. The three questions were: "Can Lesnar suplex the Big Show?", "Can Lesnar F-5 the Big Show", and "Can Lesnar beat the Big Show". That sets up the story which Lesnar is going to be telling in this match. Also, Paul Heyman says a statement before the match that foreshadows an event that will happen in the match. That statement is "I'll do anything to make sure that my client walks out with the WWE Championship". It was an awesome match. Sure, it was short but it told the story perfectly. They had a longer match at WWE Royal Rumble 2003, and it wasn't good at all.
RATING- 9/10

WWE Tag Team Championships-Triple Threat Elimination
Edge & Mysterio(c) VS Kurt Angle & Chris Benoit VS Los Guerreros
This match had an interesting dynamic between Angle and Benoit. Angle and Benoit aren't on the same page at a lot of times, but when they are they can tear through there opponents. There is a lot of action in this match, but after the first elimination the crowd seems to not care anymore.
RATING- 8.5/10

Between these two matches, Chris Nowinski and Matt Hardy cut a promo on how New Yorkers are loopid (losers and stupid). This all seems like a big waste of time until a debuting Scott Steiner returns and destroys both of them. J.R.'s commentary on the affair is funny as ever.

World Heavyweight Championship- Elimination Chamber (Match of the DVD)
Triple H(c) VS Chris Jericho VS Kane VS Booker T VS Rob Van Dam VS Shawn Michaels
If you do not understand how an Elimination Chamber works, it's not that complicated. Two men start. Every 5 minutes an internal chamber will open and release 1 of 4 superstars randomly. The match is elimination, so whoever is last remaining is the winner. Now, this match is incredible. No other Elimination has reached the bar that this one set. There are a lot of internal feuds between people within the chamber. A lot of blood is shed in this match. There are some absolutely amazing, and absolutely brutal, spots. Also, on a side note, Chris Jericho's music is performed by Saliva. They are playing "King of my World", which is an awesome song.
RATING- 10/10

5.0 out of 5 stars Very Good, January 31, 2005
This review is from: WWE Survivor Series 2002 - Elimination Chamber (DVD)
Six-Man Table Match
Jeff Hardy, Bubba Dudley, & Spike Dudley vs. 3-Minute Warning, & Rico
Really, really good opener. Funny to see Jeff and Bubba on the same team. Lots of chaos and action in this one. Great ending too.

WWE Cruiserweight Championsip
Jamie Noble vs. Billy Kidman
Another good match. Kidman looks great here and also the debut of his current music.

Hardcore Match for the Women's Championship
Trish Stratus vs. Victoria
Wouldn't you know it...this is actually a good match. The abrupt finish is what prevents this from being better. A nice surprise.

WWE Championship
Brock Lesnar vs. Big Show
Blink and you'll miss it. Very quick but full of intensity and a great display of power by Brock. Still a good match.

Triple-Threat Elimination Match for the WWE Tag Team Championship
Edge & Rey Mysterio vs. Kurt Angle & Chris Benoit vs. Los Guerreros
Second best tag team match in a long time. All six men are top-notch performers and prove why in this match. Amazing.

Elimination Chamber Match for the World Heavyweight Championship
Triple H vs. Chris Jericho vs. Booker T vs. Kane vs. Rob Van Dam vs. Shawn Michaels
HBK's return to regular action. A brutal, well wrestled match. It was totally new to everyone at the time so the excitement was at a fever pitch. Fantastic match especially from RVD's performance. Great main event.

4.0 out of 5 stars "buy it if youve got the money", May 31, 2003
By
"danwwfecw" (Toronto, Ontario) - See all my reviews
This review is from: WWE Survivor Series 2002 - Elimination Chamber (DVD)
WWE Survivor Series 2002 decided to go with quality over quantity, and in doing so the pay per view(ppv) turned out golden, although there was nothing that was completely out of this world, there was tons of great action and basically nothing that was below average. Below is a review of all the matches, the overall extra features and the overall DVD, hopefully it will help you decide if you should buy this DVD or not. The review will not directly give away who wins any of the matches but the winner may seem pretty obvious by my explanations of the matches.

( Match Reviews )

--- Six Man Table Match - Jeff Hardy and Bubba Ray Dudley and Spike Dudley Vs 3-Minute Warning and Rico ---

This was a very good table match, a total of 7 tables broken in this one, some of the table spots where very well done, such as Jeff's Swanton Bomb off a balcony and a huge splash by Jamal off the top rope to the outside. However almost all the other table bumps where just above average or less. The match had a nice pace to it, lots of cool stuff done by Jeff Hardy, this was what I think Jeffs last high risk match before being fired. This match at one point gets edited, on ppv Rico went to the top and stood there for a good 25 seconds before finally being pushed off by Jeff, on this DVD, it makes Rico appear to only be on the ropes for 10 or so seconds. This was most likely edited because during the full version of this mess up u could clearly hear Rico yelling for Jeff to push him off the ropes. Anyways overall a very good table match with a surprise ending aswell, a great way to start off the ppv. (7.5/10)

--- WWE Cruiserweight Championship Match - Jamie Noble Vs Billy Kidman ---

Good cruiserweight match. It is pretty much the same as there previous matches on Smackdown. Pretty good pace, has some high impact from the top rope and just overall good. (6.5/10)

--- Hardcore Women's Championship Match - Trish Stratus Vs Victoria ---

For a womens match this was actually pretty good and entertaining, It's pretty obvious that this match was supposed to end with a mirror shot but instead we got a much weaker ending. Good effort, better than most WWE womens matches/ (5.5/10)

--- WWE Championship Match - Brock Lesnar Vs Big Show ---

This match was a lot better than I thought it was gonna be, not to say it was terrific or anything but still, the moves Big Show took where pretty amazing considering his size, including a belly to belly suplex. Most people could predict the ending and most people will be disappointed with the winner or this match. However good job to both men. (5.5/10)

--- Three-Way Elmination Match for the WWE Tag Team Championship - Edge and Rey Mysterio Vs Eddie and Chavo Guerrero Vs Kurt Angle and Chris Benoit ---

There was tons of talent in this match, so its easy to get your expectations very high for a match like this, unfortunately it just wasn't that classic lots of people thought it to be, however it still wasn't even close to being called bad. The pace was slower then expected and to a lot of people the first team who gets eliminated will make you mad. There where some very well done spots and all the competitors got most of their signature moves in. I believe the end was just kinda weak but still very good match, just it's hard not to expect better from the competitors in the match. (7.5/10)

--- Elimination Chamber Match for the World Heavyweight Championship - Triple H Vs Shawn Michaels Vs Rob Van Dam Vs Kane Vs Chris Jericho Vs Booker T ---

I believed this match to be very well done, RVD was great as always and pretty much stole the spotlight for as long as he was in the ring., RVD did a really cool Spiderman type move where he dove off the top rope, clung to the cage and did a 180 Crossbody off it onto Jericho. Shawn Michaels was also good in this match but the only problem was he came out to late, making everything he did just a copy of what had just previously been done. For example, he went threw one of the glass chambers after Jericho already went threw a glass chamber of his own, Or Shawn did a elbow drop off one of the chambers after RVD already did a splash off one of them. Still every competitor did a really good job and you've really got to give all the wrestlers credit for falling on the steal grate which looks like it hurts more then concrete. I believe this to be match of the night. (8.5/10)

( Extra Features )

There are a fair amount of extra features on this DVD but not when you compare it to Wrestlemania DVD's, the specials that are included are pretty good. There are 5 Interviews done with wrestlers after matches and I must say there great, for the reason that the wrestlers are almost completely out of character and give good comments that to most will be worth listening to. There is also a couple of options that have to do with the elimination chamber, such as the making of the chamber and thoughts on the match by the competitors. A extra match is also included on the DVD, the match is Goldust and The Hurricane Vs Lance Storm and William Regal from Sunday Night Heat that was aired just before this ppv. There is also a great slideshow section of all the Survivor Series Promotion Posters. If u are a Saliva fan then your in for a special surprise as well, cause not only is the "Always" Music video included in the special features but they also play the same song live from WWE The World during the Survivor Series. (7/10)

( Overall DVD )

I believe this to be a great purchase or at least a rent, the show is very solid threw out, I believe most people will find it hard to complain about the overall show. No match was below 5/10 in my opinion, the special features are pretty good, and included is also the debut of Scott Steiner as he beats on Matt Hardy and Christopher Nowinski, however the part when Steiner asks for the microphone using the "f" word is also edited for the younger audience. Everyone should find at least one thing if not more to like on this DVD. I believe you will want to watch a couple of the matches on this ppv more than once so I say buy it if you've got the money. I hope this review helped you decide on whether or not to buy this DVD.

This review is from: WWE Survivor Series 2002 - Elimination Chamber (DVD)
WWE Survivor Series 2002 is a dvd i highly recommended! Great matches and a phenominal elimination chamber. Thanks for reading and please rate.

6 Man Elimination Tables Match
Jeff Hardy and The Dudleyz vs. 3 Minute Warning
This was one of the best openers in a long time. This had great highflying spots and a nice swanton by jeff on rosey through the table. Nice ending where d-von and bubba dudley reunite. Awesome opener. Match Rating:4/5

Cruiserweight Championship
Jamie Noble vs. Billy Kidman
Nice cruiserweight matchup. Lots of fasted paced action and highflying moves. I was impressed with this one. Match Rating:3.5/5

Womens Championship-Hardcore Match
Victoria vs. Trish Stratus
This was an average match. Weapons used in here like thrash can lids and fire extinguishers. The ending was really bad, but overall the match wasn't bad. Match Rating:3/5

WWE Championship
Brock Lesnar vs. The Big Show
The storyline coming into this match was if brock was strong enough to F5 the big show or beat the big show. Brock dominated most of this match and then even got the F5 on the big show, but then the ovious came and paul heyman screwed lesnar out of the title. Short and not very good. The Big Slow won the title. Match Rating:2.5/5

WWE Tag Team Championships-Triple Threat Elimination Tag Match
Edge and Rey Mysterio vs. Kurt Angle and Chris Benoit vs. Los Guerreros
This was awesome. Lots of quick action. These guys put on a great match. They used lots of suplexes, slams, submissions, and highflying moves. A nice ending where the los guerreros win the tag titles. This was a classic bout and had everything you would want in a tag match. Match Rating:5/5

World Heavyweight Championship-Elimination Chamber Match
Triple H vs. Y2J vs. Kane vs. Booker T vs. RVD vs. Shawn Michaels
This was the first ever elimination chamber and it delivered! Lots of blood and breathtaking action. Nice spiderman moment with rvd. Also a great moment where kane tosses Y2J right through the glass pod. I loved that it came down to hhh and shawn. Great ending where hbk wins the title. An amazing, brutal classic. Match Rating:5/5

This was the best ppv of 2002 hands down. I strongly recommend getting this one. Great survivor series!

5.0 out of 5 stars "You Will Bare Witness To The ELIMINATION CHAMBER ", March 4, 2006
This review is from: WWE Survivor Series 2002 - Elimination Chamber (DVD)
Overall this is one of the best Survivor Series ever.

1.6 man elimination table match - 3 Minute Warning vs Dudleyz and Spike. This was an excellent opener. Maybe one of the best ever for S.S. The splash off the top rope to the outside through the table by Rosey or Jamal (not sure)and Jeff Hardyz Swanton Bomb off the the deck were my favorites.10/10

2.Billy Kidman vs Jamie Noble(Cruiserweight Championship). This was better than most cruiserweight matches. They did some nice move that I can't even explain. The DDT off the top was great and he still kicked out. 7/10

3. Victoria vs Trish Stratus Hardcore Match(Women's Championship). This match was better than what I was expecting they did some nice moves with the weapons like garbage cans and the garbage can lids, brooms, fire extinguishers. The ending brought the rating down.6/10

4.Brock Lesnar vs Big Show(WWF Championship). This wasn't a very good match but when Brock Did an F5 to Big Show I was happy and the chair made the matches rating a little better along with the F5. 7/10.

5.Triple Threat Tag Team Elimination Match - Los Guerreros (R.I.P EDDIE) vs Kurt Angle and Chris Benoit vs Edge and Rey Mysterio(Tag Team Championship). This was a great tag team match and I mean a great tag team match with a lot of specials very fast paced match and this match deserves more than a 10 but my limit is 10.10/10

6.Elimination Chamber Triple H vs Shawn Michaels vs RVD vs Booker T vs Kane vs Chris Jericho(World Heavyweight Championship). This was the first Elimination Chamber and it delivered they used the chamber in every possible way they could think of from backdrops on the steel from spiderman jumps off the side to jumping off the top to throwing each other into the steel and even through the glass.10/10(BY A MILEEEEEEE)
