This video will satisfy only the most casual fan.,

This review is from: WWF: Best Of WrestleMania I-XIV [VHS] (VHS Tape)
Considering that the average "Wrestlemania" is usually a three-hour affair and considering the fact that "Wrestlemania" has been an annual event for well over a decade, it's hard to conceive that a 60-minute video can adequately cover "the best" of an event that changed sports entertainment history and made wrestling a staple of pay-per-view TV. You don't really get the best of Wrestlemania --instead you get the best highlights of Wrestlemania. There's not a complete match to be found on this tape. This video may entertain the most casual of wrestling fans but solid wrestling fans may be irritated by the brief glimpses of some of the best wrestling to be found. (One glaring omission: The Savage-Steamboat match on the 1987 card --a match considered to be one of the greatest in wrestling history!) More satisfying are the "Best of" series from the WCW --the matches are edited but much more satisfying to watch. Still, the "Best of Wrestlemania" may serve as a primer to the uninitiated.

WWF slants the past of Wrestlemania,
By A Customer
This review is from: WWF: Best Of WrestleMania I-XIV [VHS] (VHS Tape)
This 90 minute tape has highs and lows, but is overall satisfing. On the higher notes, the tape illustrates the very idea behind wrestlemania, something that many younger wrestling fans never experienced before. Insight from Gorilla Monsoon, Fabulous Moolah, etc is spliced in throughout the tape, and although they remain in "character" for the most part, is still adds to the quality. The biggest low is a re-occuring theme to belittle the former WWF stars who now work for WCW, ie Hogan, Savage, Flair, Bret Hart, etc. References to Savage's "tainted" victoy at WM IV, calling a near fall on Hogan at WM III as "questionable", remarks insinuating that Kevin Nash sold out and failure to show Bret Hart win the Title at WM X, make this "Best OF" tape subjective to the WWF's current roster, as opposed to objectivly highlighting the actual best moments

OK, but matches way too short!!!!,

This video isn't awful, but I need to warn everybody who are considering buying it, they don't show close to the full matches. I think there were too many post-match summaries, and not enough actual matches. I wish I hadn't bought this tape, seeing that I wanted to get classic Wrestlemania matches, in their entirety.

The video is good, but not great.,

This video could have been better. It was entertaining and its worth buying considering its pretty cheap here at Wrestlezone. It would have been better if it had some classic matches in their entirety like the Undertaker vs Diesel match would have been great to see in more than 2 minutes.

Incomplete video,

Overall it was a decent video but after like Wrestlemania 4 the highlights got shorter and when it got to Wrestlemania 13 it got longer. there were some great matches shown but they left out some great ones(Savage-Steamboat,Warior-Savage at WM7,hogan beating Yoko) it would have been better if they made it about 1 hour longer

I have watched Wrestlemania for the past 14 years and some of the best matches were not even mentioned.True, some of the interviews and highlights were good but there was wrestling before 1990.

This is a pretty good video but it dosent have enough of the WWF world title. They dont have diesel vs HBK at wrestlemania XI. They dont have bret hart vs yokozuna at WM X or WM IX.

This is an o.k video they should of took more time on the reviews of the matches. what i got mad at is when they said at wrestlemania VII they said hulkamania said it took it`s last stand. That wasen`t true at wrestlemaina IX hogan won the title back.

Half good and half bad,

This video isn't anything to die for. In some wrestlmania's it shows the matches you want to see and in others it shows the crapiest matches you wish were never put on there. This tape should also be far more than 90 minutes long.

WWF can't make a damm thing right!,
By A Customer
This review is from: WWF: Best Of WrestleMania I-XIV [VHS] (VHS Tape)
This tape is one of the worst tapes I have ever seen. Why the WWF abandoned Coliseim Video is beyond me. The tape was fully biased towards the WCW and they skipped a gaggle of great Wrestlemania matches. I could make a better tape than that, I know I could!
