WWF Capital Carnage,
By A Customer
This review is from: WWF: Capital Carnage 1998 [VHS] (VHS Tape)
While it wasn't that great, it did preceed the WWF's "Rock Bottom" event that took place about a week after Capital Carnage. Not the greatest card but it is more worth the money than "RB" was. It even had some good spots and seeing Jackie's chest made it worth getting!!

Awesome Event,

This review is from: WWF: Capital Carnage 1998 [VHS] (VHS Tape)
I rented Capital Carnage a while ago and I must say I loved it. All the matches were great and focused on making the crowd enjoy the show. The Fatal Four Way was off the page and the WWF Championship Match was great. All the midcard matches were awesome especially the Mixed Tag Match and Jarrett vs. HHH which I knew would be great. Too bad they don't do events like this in America.

First of all here are the matches Match 1- Gangrel vs Al Snow I give it an 6 out of 10 because it could have been better. Match 3- WWF Tag Team Championship The New Age Outlaws vs D'lo Brown and Mark Henry I gave it an 4 out of 10 because it sucked really bad. Match 4- WWF Intercontinential Championship Ken Shamrock vs Steve Blackman I gave it an 4 out of 10 because it also sucked. Match 5- Triple H vs Jeff Jarrett I gave it an 5 out of 10 because it had Debra!!! Match 6- WWF Championship The Rock vs X-Pac I gave it an 8 out of 10 because it was the only decent match of the night Match 7- Fatal Four Way No Holds Barred Match Stone Cold vs Kane vs Mankind vs The Undertaker I gave it an 7 out of 10 because it had a few chair shots Overall Rating 6 out of 10 NOT WORTH THE MONEY BUT YOU SHOULD RENT!

I wish all the WWF pay-per-views can be like CapitalCarnage,
By A Customer
This review is from: WWF: Capital Carnage 1998 [VHS] (VHS Tape)
Capital Carnage is an awesome tape it ranks up there with the best of them one of them being Fully Loaded.I highly recommend it.I wish all the future WWF Pay-Per Views will be like Capital Carnage especially the mixed tag team match between Mark Mero and Jaqueline VS Sable and Christian. Jaqueline's top being ripped off by Sable is another example of how Vince McMann is giving the fans what they really want to see uncensored and fun wrestling. If Vince continues giving us fans more of these types of matches the ratings will soar even higher then they do now. How about doing a match like that on Wrestlemania 15? hint hint :-)

Fatal four way match after the WWF title match, what else do you want! the undercard seem good, even Al Snow and Gangrel was not bad, H.H.H. and Jeff Jarrett's match was great! this ppv is worth to see, not the other U.K. PPV!

Capital Carnage---Worth the insults....,
By A Customer
This review is from: WWF: Capital Carnage 1998 [VHS] (VHS Tape)
Capital Carnage isn't neseccarily BAD, but it isn't good at all-whatsoever. There are 10 matches, more than half of them ending in screw jobs, and the rest having bad finishes, such as the Rock/XPac match which was the best match of the night, and ended as one of the worst.Lets start off w/ the somewhat jobbers, like Al Snow/Gangrel and Edge/Tiger Ali and Venis/Goldust. At that time, they were all blah and no one TRULY cared about them. Therfore, the matches would bite, have no true meaning, and the fans wouldnt give bout them. Moving on to the 2 tag team matches...Headbangers vs Droz and Animal...and the Tag team titles are on the line when D'lo and Henry go against MrAss and RoadDogg. The Headbangers/dROZ and Animal match is short, and ends bad. (you'll see).. and the tag title match is boring. The Mixed Tag Team match with Jackie and Mero (who hate eachother at this point) vs Christian, a weird goth, and Sable, who was the only person of this match which recieved any reaction, was pretty miserable. The ending was alrite, and when Jackies boobz were flashed, it was the best, despite it being very short. (Why does this never happen in america?.....) HHH/Jarrett was pretty good with Chyna and Debra at ringside, ofcourse though Chyna doesnt ever touch Debra coz she refuses to take any bump whatsoever, especially from Chyna. And now we come to the main event. The 4 top stars in the wwf at the time (Late 1998), Undertaker, Austin, Mankind and Kane go at it in a really bad fatal 4 way match. The only good part is the end, meaning i was forced to watch 12 or so minutes of kicks to the ribs and punches to the head, with there never being much action at all. All in all, the PPV is boring, with the expection of a few matches which deserved a rewind here and there.Therfore dont buy it, just rent it

Best...Show Ever!,

I say this tape had everything you could want to see... I really enjoyed this tape because it showcased my favorite wrestler X-Pac at his best in a classic battle between the Rock for the WWF Title. It also had a great amount of comedy provided by Mr. McMahon and Co. All around, every match was great, including the main event, A fatal Four-Way match. Undrtaker vs. Kane vs. Mankind vs. Stone Cold Steve Austin. Wrestling fanscheck this tape out. By the way, the worlds greatest commentary team calls this event, Jerry "The King" Lawler & Jim Ross.

Now this pay per view was a bit lacking in a few points although it was fairly good. The Al Snow match could have been better if it was hardcore, not 2 great. Val Venis once again performed fairly well. The mixed match was the most entertaining match at that point of the match, it was fun and at the end Jackie's shirt was ripped off- revealing her breats! giggle. the rest of the card was alright and the ending was great. if you are not a wrestling fan but thinking about purchasing this you should because you will gain and understannding of what the wwf is all about, even if it was a bad show. |
