3.0 out of 5 stars Could Have Been A Lot Better
When I purchased this CD, I thought I'd be getting a great lookback at some of the WWF's greatest Raw moments. It features SteveAustin, The Rock, Undertaker, Mankind, DX, The Austin/McMahon fued, and the Corporate Ministry. While it provides a decent amount of video and sound clips, the rest of the CD seriously lacks. For example, there is a "Superstar Photo...

For example, there is a "Superstar Photo Gallery" that doesn't contain more than one image of each wrestler. If that isn't bad enough, there are only 15 personalities available! I know the WWF has more superstars than that. The "Superstar Bios" section is even worse, containing only 9 bios. The company who made this disc could have just pulled all the bios off the WWF web site and used those. Why they only chose a few is beyond me. Also included are three, yes, three "screen savers". Steve Austin, Debra, and "WWF Superstars". The Steve Austin screen saver only has 4 images of him! The Debra one has a few more, and the "WWF Superstars" saver only shows about 8 images of WWF wrestlers. Again, there are far more wrestlers in the WWF than that. I've seen better savers on the internet for free... I think the design and interface of the CD is very weak. It's just bad in some spots and confusing in others. In closing, an alright disc for the clips if you don't already have them on tape, but not much more than that. The WWF has a good track record for quality products, but I was shocked that they actually let Multimedia 2000, inc release this thing. It's VERY overpriced at $29.99. I wouldn't pay more than $9.99 for it after seeing how bare and amature looking it is. Maybe Volume 2 will be better.

Right from the opening animation this product rocks. It has got tons of cool stuff, everything from great screen savers to awesome videos of hard core WWF Action. I really like the sound bytes and the loads of high resolution shots of the WWF Stars. This is hours of fun, if you are a WWF fan this is a must have!

EncycRAWpedia is a great resource for people of any age who enjoy the WWF! Through the use of audio and video clips, the user is able to hear from their favorite superstar or view the greatest moments from Monday night RAW. I can't wait for Volume 2!

5.0 out of 5 stars The best WWF CD-ROM available!, January 5, 2000

This CD-ROM is fantastic....the videos running in the Titan Tron was an excellent idea. I really loved that. Backgrounds are great too. I think the 'soundbites' could have been eliminated from the CD though, and extra videos would have taken their place. The screensavers are fine too.

The sounds going in each menu are good..and the introduction with Kane kicks ass. Nice animation there. Overall a great product, with some of the best RAW Is WAR video clips you could think of.

5.0 out of 5 stars A great gift for every wrestling fan!, February 5, 2000
This review is from: WWF EncycRAWpedia Volume 1 (CD-ROM)
"You better call some one!" "`Cause Stone Cold said so!" "If you smell what the Rock is cooking!" "Meet the ninth wonder of the world." Do these saying sound familiar? If not you're probably not watching WWF Raw is War. Multimedia 2000 can help you out with EncycRAWpedia.

This easy to install cd will bring back many memories of one of professional wrestling's premier shows. With sound clips, pictures, screen savers and much more, the true WWF fan has really gotten a bargain. Couple that with the price of $39.95 and you have the perfect gift.

You see the Undertaker, Ken Shammrock, the Rock, Mankind, Chyna, Triple H, Degeneration X, the Giant, Vince and Shame McMahan and many other WWF superstars. The cd has no major complication during install, but you need the cd in order to run the program.

Multimedia 2000 gives you a good product, to make it better they might want to create a cd about the history of the WWF with roll call of champions, highlights of the past years and other things of that nature. The compilation history cd may be more appealing to a wider audience, overall a good product.

4.0 out of 5 stars EncycRAWpedia CD, January 21, 2000
This review is from: WWF EncycRAWpedia Volume 1 (CD-ROM)
The WWF EncycRAWpedia is a useful little tool that allows the common fan to observe past clips from RAW IS WAR and assorted federation events. Although the content falls a bit short as there could have been more meat to it, the program is an entertaining one with a very interesting animated intro. Recommended to WWF fans looking for a creative product, but nothing TOO extraordinary.
