Editorial Reviews

Pay-per-view events are the bread and butter of pro wrestling. At nearly three hours, they're like monthly Super Bowls and surrounded with the same type of hype and drama. Fully Loaded captures the entire July 2000 event that went down in Dallas, Texas. Part of enjoying pro wrestling is understanding the soap opera that revolves around each match. If you're already a fan, no background is needed. But if you're just getting into pro wrestling, Fully Loaded does a decent job of summarizing the events leading up to all eight matches. There's also plenty of backstage "acting" and shenanigans to get the crowd fired up--like Chris Benoit destroying WWF champion the Rock's wardrobe or Kurt Angle trashing the Undertaker's motorcycle (never touch a man's threads or his ride!). The action inside the ring is as enjoyable, with a triple main event likely to please all WWF fans. The Last Man Standing match between Triple H and Chris Jericho is sufficiently bloody, while the 30-minute championship match between the Rock and Benoit is exhausting to watch. Not much is different here: hardcore fans will love it, while critics will still be shaking their heads in disbelief. --Dave McCoy

4.0 out of 5 stars good but a little predictable, September 26, 2000
This review is from: WWF: Fully Loaded 2000 [VHS] (VHS Tape)
well this event could of been a little better but still good. It started out with the hardy boyz and lita against t@a and trish stratus (7/10). perry saturn against eddy gurrero was average 7/10. acolytes against edge and christian was a snooze fest 4/10. Kurt angle vs. undertaker was better than i expected 8/10. y2j against hhh in a last man standing was the best match 9/10. The main event was chris benoit against the rock in a pretty good match 8/10. I would pass on buying but it is good for a rent or two.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fully Loaded 2000 - Excellent, September 20, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: WWF: Fully Loaded 2000 [VHS] (VHS Tape)
When I first saw the card for Fully Loaded, I expected a good show. But I was wrong. The show was excellent. Easilly one of the WWF's best Pay Per Views for a long time. The show starts off with an exciting opener between The Hardy Boyz & Lita and T&A & Trish Stratus. Next match was a decent one between Tazz and Al Snow. Perry Saturn took on Eddie Guererro in a fair match. Edge & Christian squared off with The Acolytes in a poor match (the only poor match of the night). Rikishi took on Val Venis in a good cage match. The Undertaker then faced Kurt Angle in the first of a Triple Main Event. Chris Jericho t00k on Trtiple H in an absolutely cracking Last Man Standing match. And finally, The Rock squared off with Chris Benoit in a strong main event. Overall, Fully Loaded was the second best PPV of the year (behind Backlash.).

seeya!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Fully Loaded!, October 25, 2005
This review is from: WWF: Fully Loaded 2000 [VHS] (VHS Tape)
MATCH 1: The Hardy Boyz And Lita Vs TNA And Trish Stratus - 7/10

Great opener at a good length.

MATCH 2: Tazz Vs Al Snow - 5/10

Why was this on here?

MATCH 3: EUROPEAN TITLE - Eddie Guerrero Vs Perry Saturn - 7/10

Another good match.

MATCH 4: TAG TEAM TITLES - The Acolytes Vs Edge And Chrsitian - 4/10

Bad match and a bad ending.

MATCH 5: STEEL CAGE MATCH - INTERCONTINENTAL TITLE - Val Venis Vs Rikishi - 8/10

Very good, rikishi dives off the top of the cage onto val venis.

MATCH 6: Kurt Angle Vs The Undertaker - 7/10

Good match although perhaps a little too long.

MATCH 7: LAST MAN STANDING MATCH - Triple H Vs Chris Jericho - 9/10

Match of the year candidate.

MATCH 8: WWF TITLE: The Rock VS Chris Benoit - 9/10

Great match, Chris Benoit wins by DQ so Mick Foley come out and restarts the match.

Overall Event Rating: 8/10
