This review is from: WWF: Macho Madness [VHS] (VHS Tape)
Released in late 1988 by the WWF to celebrate the popularity of its then-World Champion Randy "Macho Man" Savage, this video highlight reel is a superb collage for all of Savage and Elizabeth's fans.

Introducing the highlight clips are "Mean" Gene Okerlund, Ms. Elizabeth, and the exuberant champ himself.

Beginning in late 1987, "Macho Madness" kicks off with Savage's hot pursuit of the Honky Tonk Man's WWF Intercontinental Title (included are excerpts from the famous Mega-Powers meeting between Savage & Hulk Hogan on "Saturday Night's Main Event").

From there, the highlight package progresses to Savage's history-making run through the WWF Title Tournament at Wrestlemania IV in March of 1988 to capture his first WWF World Championship. Included are several rematches with Ted DiBiase, who the "Macho Man" had bested for the title.

"Macho Madness" closes out in November of 1988 at the Survivor Series where Savage would give his first broad hint after the match that he would soon turn on Hulk Hogan.

Overall, the video completely covers Savage's impressive 1987-88 exploits as the WWF's # 1 fan favorite. For all of Randy Savage and Elizabeth's fans, I heartily recommend this wonderful collector's find.
