3.0 out of 5 stars not bad
This was a not bad PPV overall. True, there aren't any over-hyped, popular WCW stars (Sting, Goldberg.. etc etc..) but, it is well worth owning. But the real action is at streetbrawls.com Never, in my long wrestling-watching life, would I thought I would ever see WCW/ECW vs the WWF. The RVD (Rob Van Dam) vs. Jeff Hardy match is a classic if you ask me. The bra and panties...

80-76%-perfect

1. Edge vs. Lance Storm for the ITC title- This was an average match. I liked there choice for this as there opener. I really started to like the in ring skills by both of these men and this was a good way to start off the ppv. Nothing special just some good soild wrestling. Winner and new wwe ITC champ Edge. Match Rating 7/10.

2 The dudleys and test vs. APA and spike dudley- This was your average filler but it turned out to be quite exciting. It was about 5 minutes long which i thought was the right choice for time length. There was non stop action and a really seewt spot were spike got pushed off the top rope through a table. Also i had not seen as sick of chair shot sience the michales tker hell in a cell match when shane McMahon hit bradshaw with a chair. Awsome stuff. Winners the dudleys and test. Match Rating 6.5/10.

3. X-Pac vs. Tajiri for the undisputed cruiserwieght title- This was also a good match. This was back when the wwe even cared a little bit about the cruiserwieghts now they jsut dont care at all. These guys put on a really good match and no slow spots that even kept me interested in the match and i would ask the wwe if theyt had more matches like these. Winner and undisputed cruiserwieght champ X-Pac. Match Rating 7/10.

4. Rhyno vs. Y2J- This was a good match as well with a storyline. It was just like the dge match at the same pace but maybe a little better. There were some nice spots one was when jerico came off the top rope and was gored in mid air by rhyno got to see to believe. This was just some good wrestling with intensity. not much else to say. Winner Y2J. Match rating 7.5/10.

5. Jeff Hardy vs. Rvd for the hardcore title in a ladder match- This was the first huge match of the night. This match was off the chain. I wish they would have used some more wepons because it was a hardcore match as well but that did not make the match any worse. Nice 20 minute match with alot of risks taken. One of my favorite parts of the match was the suplex off the top of the ladder. Realy good stuff by bith guys. Winner and new wwe hardcore champion RVD. Match Rating 9/10.

6. DDp and kanyon vs. taker and kane for the tag team titles in a steel cage match- This was not what you would call a good steel cage match. This was basically kane and taker dominating most of the match. It would have been better but there was to much one sided offense for me to enjoy. It was not bloddy at all and it was just boring for the most part. Still watchable but not that good. Winners and new tag team champs taker and kane. Match Rating 6.5/10.

7. Kurt Angle vs. Stone Cold for the wwe title- This was match of the night in my opinion. This was an awsome storyline and the match lived up to its hype. It started out with great intensity and contiued throughtout the match. Lots of blood in this match. Tons of =false finishes in this match which you wont want to miss. Also angles hits his famous moonsault in this match and it was a thing of beauty. All of the false finishes are great. The ending sucks but it does not hurt the match to much. Winner kurt angle by DQ but still wwe champ stone cold. Match Rating 9/10.

8. The rock vs. Booker T for the WCW title- This was a great way to close off the ppv. It was great to see the rock make his return. I think this match played out the way it was supposed to. Some good action by shane McMahon and non stop all the way through. I thought that booker might accualty retain. Also a nicxe rvenge spot were the apa layed out shane mcmahon. Winner and new wcw champ The rock. Match Rating 8.5/10.

Well that raps up another. I would give summersalm 2001 a grade of 61/80 which is a 76% which means this is a perfect ppv. I thnk that is a good grade. If you can tell me if my review was helpful or not i would appericate that. Thnks for your time.

5.0 out of 5 stars WWE Summerslam 2001: One Word=Excellent, August 18, 2005
By
Sniper3:16 (Perth, WA, Australia) - See all my reviews
This review is from: WWF: Summer Slam 2001 (DVD)
WWE Summerslam 2001: One Word=Excellent

WWF Intercontinental Championship
Lance Storm (c) vs. Edge
I rarely enjoy the opening matches of wwe pay per views because nine times out of ten they are pretty boring. Although this match was fast paced and solid that quickly grasped my attention. Edge and Storm matched up really well with each other a lot of great manoeuvres displayed by both of them making it really hard to determine the victor. Christian's interference did not discredit the match at all I though it placed more excitement into it making Edge's victory more greatly deserved. 8.5/10

Spike Dudley & the APA vs. Test & the Dudley Boyz
A brutal and solid six man tag team match resulting in Spike being brutally double teamed throughout the match. APA did their best although Shane O Mac comes to Test's aid and saves the day for the alliance. Good Match 6.5/10

Light-Heavyweight championship vs. Crusierweight Championship
X-Pac vs. Tajiri
A great high flying match between these two in which I did not expect. X-pac to me is an average wrestler although here in this match he really impressed me with picking up the win. 8/10

Rhyno vs. Chris Jericho
A very solid match between these two that was better than expected. Rhyno gores Jericho as he was flying in mid-air on the outside. Steph gets lip-locked off the apron that leads to Rhyno tapping the walls of Jericho. 7.5/10

WWF Hardcore Title Ladder Match
Rob Van Dam vs. Jeff Hardy (c)
Two great hardcore competitors meet in the first ever ladder match for the WWF hardcore championship. Ladders were used in a variety of fashions such as Suplex of the ladder, power bombs of the ladder and leg drops on ladder etc. Fantastic match! in which where the crowd did not care who won because they are both fan favourites. 10/10

Cage Match for WWF tag team championships vs. WCW tag Team championships
Kane & Undertaker vs. DDP & Kanyon
Not a great technical match although a hell of an ass-kicking of a match. Undertaker & Kane dominated the entire match and then finally let Kanyon go and the two brothers beat the absolute crap out of DDP. A match to only see WCW gets the hell beaten out of them which is still entertaining enough. 7/10

WWF Championship Match
Kurt Angle vs. Stone Cold Steve Austin (c)
This wasn't a wrestling match it was more like a street fight. Angle gets all bloody from getting thrown into the ring post about 8 times. Austin receives a couple of suplexes on the floor and Angle gets about 4 stunners throughout the match and still kicks out. Also about four referees get taken out by Austin and then finally he gets dq by WCW ref who gets the ankle lock by Angle. 10/10 One of Stone cold's best match and Austin does not get angle slammed off the top rope which some reviewer said in their review before.

WCW Championship Match
The Rock vs. Booker T (c)
Great match between Booker T and the Rock in which where we see the Rock bottom vs. the bookend. Shane O Mac appears gets clotheslined by Bradshaw and then rockbottomed on the floor by The Rock. I love the ending where Booker T had everything going for him and then suddenly ROCKBOTTEM!!!! Great match although Austin vs. Angle should've been the main event. 9/10

66.5/80 which is 80% making Summerslam 2001 in my opinion was just as great as WM17 every match delivered what it needed to do which makes this DVD essential to any wwe DVD collector. Thankyou for reading my review on WWF Summerslam 2001.

5.0 out of 5 stars Summerslam-FREAKIN AWESOME, October 19, 2005
A Kid's Review
This review is from: WWF: Summer Slam 2001 (DVD)
This was one of the best PPVs ever, Here are the matches:

Intercontinental Title
Lance Storm vs Edge
Sweet Opener, great counters and moves
with Edge hittin the Edgecution for the
win 7/10

Test & Dudleyz vs Spike & APA
Good tag match, with some fast paced action,
interference from Shane, and a sick table bump
by Spike 6/10

Light Heavyweight Title & Cruiserweight Title Unification
Tajiri vs X Pac
Wow much better than expected, great moves and counters
with Albert costing Tajiri the match, but still gettin
misted 6.8/10

Chris Jericho vs Rhyno
Good solid match where Rhyno really shines. If watch the
crowd, you'll see some funny signs about Steph's upper
package after gettin liplocked by Jericho. 6/10

Hardcore Title Ladder Match
Rob Van Dam vs Jeff Hardy
Holy S*** this was amazin Countless high spots, Great
and innovative ladder use like powerbombs, moonsaults
and a springboard Whisper in the Wind, all ending with a
nod to each other from both men for an excelent performance. 10/10

WCW & WWF Tag Team Title Cage Match
Undertaker & Kane vs DDP & Kanyon
Entertaining Squash, where DDP & Kanyon actually don't
do too bad, even though DDP still gets an ass whoopin of
a lifetime, courtesy of the Last Ride. 5.5/10

WWF Title
Stone Cold Steve Austin vs Kurt Angle
A great, intense match. Angle got rammed into the
ringpost sooo many times, bleedin like crazy, but
still puttin up the fight of a lifetime. The ending
sucks big time though(DAMN YOU NICK PATRICK) 9.5/10

WCW Title
Booker T vs The Rock
Yet another great title match, with Shane gettin knocked on
his McMahon ass by the APA, and the Great One layin the
Summerslam Smackdown on Booker T's candy ass to become the new
WCW Champion. 9/10

The Extras are good too, with the hillarious Austin Appreciation
Night, where Angle gives the Alliance its daily dose of dairy.

4.0 out of 5 stars Probably the best of the WWF vs. Alliance era!, January 27, 2004
By A Customer
This review is from: WWE - SummerSlam (VHS Tape)
In fact, this respectable PPV is the only thing that makes me call it an era rather than a valley in WWF history; that is, the WCW/ECW "teaming up" to "invade" the World Wrestling Federation, when everybody knew it was s**t and both wrestling companies had been out of business for months.
But I digress. Summerslam 2001 was, as usual, one of WWF's great PPVs, probably second only to Wrestlemania. (Especially that year.) The action was vivid and intense, and all the matches were watchable (Not always a feat the WWF could boast of, even back before they completely tanked.) But it was like everyone in the crowd forgot to drink their coffee that morning. It was just too damn quiet, and only the best superstars got good applause. Memo: WWE should be sure to always select venues where the fans will make the most possible noise.

I.C. TITLE: LANCE STORM(C) VS. EDGE
Pretty good for the opening bout. You'll gasp at how Edge comes back in the end. He probably should have beaten his brother Christian the next month at Unforgiven, too. 5/10.

SPIKE DUDLEY AND A.P.A. WITH MOLLY HOLLY VS. TEST AND DUDLEY BOYZ
Let's see...Test jumps to the Alliance and actually gives a good interview about it...the imaginative love story between Spike and Molly was out of gas...there's a table involved...guess who wins? It may have been predictable, but it was still pretty good, for a match involving Test. Chairshot by that weasel Shane McMahon is the best move in the bout. 5/10.

LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE VS. CRUISERWEIGHT TITLE: TAJIRI VS. X-PAC
I'm glad the WWF got rid of X-Pac early the next year. He's a great competitor, but the guy is just getting old. Not that he shows it in this likeable match. It involves high flying and speed all the way. Screwy ending tainted it. 5/10.

CHRIS JERICHO VS. RHYNO
OMG, you would not believe the trash Jericho was talking to Stephanie McMahon in this period. Funny, but also really malicious. Steph gives Rhyno a shot at Y2J at Summerslam, since he's never lost to him before. Kick-@ss match. 7/10.

HARDCORE TITLE LADDER MATCH: JEFF HARDY(C) VS. ROB VAN DAM
This was one of the best matches I've ever seen either of these men involved in. Some of the bumps with the ladder were beyond brutal, and probably took a few years off of these guys' wrestling careers. Sets the standard for the rest of the night, ladies and gentleman. Worth the price of the whole thing. 8/10.

WCW TAG TITLES VS. WWF TAG TITLES IN A CAGE: DIAMOND DALLAS PAGE AND KANYON VS. UNDERTAKER AND KANE
I don't think the WWF has come up with much stuff that was sicker (or dumber) than DDP stalking 'Taker's wife, Sara. Undertaker has her name tatooed on his throat. You'd think that would persuade DDP to look for a date elsewhere. But no, he's got sick videos of her and this sick shrine on RAW...dear God. You know, if this were about actual competition, it wouldn't score so good, 'cause DDP and Kanyon get the crap beat out of them. But this is kind of about revenge on DDP, and Undertaker absolutely destroys him. Fun to watch, so I'll rate it accordingly. 6/10.

WWF TITLE: STONE COLD STEVE AUSTIN(C) VS. KURT ANGLE
OK, get ready. Are you ready?
This match was un...F-ing...believable. It was emotional, brutal, and awe-inspiring. Angle gets seven German suplexes on Austin. Austin slams him mercilessly into the ringpost and announce table. Angle kicks out of the Stunner. Austin kicks out of the Angle Slam. Only the disappointing ending stopped it from being my match of the year, but even so, it's still the best match in the show. The fact remains: Steve Austin can not beat Kurt Angle, especially not for the WWF Title, and that would be proven a month later anyway. But what a match!! Even paying the WWF's ridiculous PPV price, you still would've gotten your money's worth. 9/10.

WCW TITLE: BOOKER T (WITH SHANE MCMAHON) VS. THE ROCK
As far as gut-wrenching drama and physical intensity went, Angle-Austin was Summerslam's winner. But as far as a buildup between two men, both claiming they are the most electrifying men in sports-entertainment, goes, this match is king. You get the feeling these two could have put on a better match than they did, but at least Shane gets mauled by the A.P.A. (sweet revenge!), and Rock's sensational return (he was out since Wrestlemania in early spring) makes up for it, capturing the crowd's adulation yet again. 7/10.
And Summerslam, too, captures the crowd's adulation. Always a premier event, the silly Alliance story was not enough to sully SS when you got right down to the wrestling. At least you get to see Jim Ross yell at Paul Heyman.

5.0 out of 5 stars Hot Show, Bad Booking, September 30, 2001

This review is from: WWF: Summer Slam 2001 (DVD)
Everything on this show, besides the usual ... from UT and the Acolytes, is amazing. Starting with an amazing Storm v. Edge matchup, all the way to the match of the year in Austin v. Angle. Man those two are so good its scary. The main problem with this show is that the wrong people go over in almost every match. There was no reason what so ever for Rock to go over Booker T and there was no reasson what so ever why that should have been the main event. They had to come on after a godlike performance from Angle and Austin and could not match it. Anyway just jump past the two bad matches and the rest is GOLD.

4.0 out of 5 stars 3rd Best PPV of Year, September 7, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: WWE - SummerSlam (VHS Tape)
SummerSlam was the 3rd best ppv of the year behind Wrestlemania and Royal Rumble. The show kicks off with an Intercontinental Championship Match between Edge+Lance Storm. This match is a good match to start with. Rhyno takes on Jericho in a great 1 on 1 encounter. RVD and Jeff Hardy fight for the Hardcore Title in a LADDER MATCH which is brilliant. The Undertaker and Kane face Kanyon and DDP inside a steel cage for the wwf and the wcw tag team championships. Then The Rattlesnake takes on Kurt Angle with the wwf championship on the line. This is the best match of the night. The main event is for the WCW Championship with Booker T vs The Rock in another great singles match.
Matches in order:
WWF Itercontinental Championship-Edge vs Lance Storm
WWF Light HeavyWeight and WCW CruiserWeight Championships-
Tajiri vs X-Pac
Test+The Dudleyz vs Spike+The Acolytes
Rhyno vs Jericho
WWF Hardcore Championship Ladder Match-Jeff Hardy vs RVD
WWF+WCW Tag Team Championships Steel Cage Match-

The Undertaker+Kane vs DDP+Kanyon
WWF Championship-Stone Cold vs Kurt Angle
WCW Championship-Booker T vs The Rock
All in all this ppv is a good ppv.

5.0 out of 5 stars Finnaly The Rock Is WCW Champion, November 3, 2009
This review is from: WWF: Summer Slam 2001 (DVD)
Overall, this has been one of the best summerslams to date. This was during the invasion saga and this was one of the best ppvs during that. Phenominal world title matches and a breathtaking ladder match. Thanks for reading!

Intercontenintal Championship
Lance Storm vs. Edge
Edge was becoming a very established singles wrestler during this time and it showed right here. A standout match between two great canadian wrestlers. A very solid display of wrestling and some great reversals and counters. Lance storm refered to this as his best wwe/f match and he really wasn't kidding. A good way to open up a show. Match Rating:4.25/5

Dudley Boyz and Test vs. APA and Spike Dudley
Overall, this was a pretty entertaining 6 man tag match. Some good double team exchanges by the dudleys and the apa. A nice moment when spike goes through a table. Overall, this was a good, fun followup to the opener. Match Rating:3.5/5

Light Heavyweight Champion Tajiri vs. Cruiserweight Champion X-Pac
Once again, a very fast paced, entertaining matchup. Some great exchanges from x-pac and tajiri, both men really brought their a-game to the table. Some pretty vicious reversals and kicks in this one as well. While this was a little to short, the match had a nice feel to it and they gave a really good effort. Match Rating:3.75/5

Chris Jericho vs. Rhyno
There was a couple of storylines revolving around this matchup, one including the jericho/stephanie fued and the other was the fact that jericho couldn't defeat rhyno. Anyway, past that, some good standout spots, one including a huge mid-air gore on jericho when he came off the top rope. Some good physicality and intensity in this one to. In the end, jericho finnaly defeated rhyno. Another solid match. Match Rating:4/5

Ladder Match for the WWE Hardcore Championship
Jeff Hardy vs. RVD
WOW! A phenominal ladder match and for me this topped their bout at invasion without question. This ladder match was full of highlight real moments. Lots of risks taken in this match that resulted in tons of hit and misses. Besides some screwups in this one, the match was just so fun to watch and so entertaining. They looked like they were killing each other out there, using the ladder in everyway possible. Some nice dropkicks and dives with the ladder and a huge suplex off the top of one. In the end, rvd once again got the better of jeff hardy in a great ladder contest. Match Rating:4.75/5

Steel Cage Match for the WWE and WCW Tag Team Championships
WCW Tag Team Champions Undertaker and Kane vs. WWE Tag Team Champions DDP and Kanyon
Overall, i was dissapointed with this one. Kanyon and page were trying to avoid the brothers of destruction in every way throughout the match. Taker and kane really dominated the matchup, throwing both ddp and kanyon into the cage numerous times, with page and kanyon only getting a short run of offense toward the end. Kanyon eventually left ddp to defend for himself and that made matters worse. The brothers of destruction capitalized on their dominance and unified the titles. Match Rating:3.5/5

WWE Championship
Stone Cold Steve Austin vs. Kurt Angle
In my unforgiven '01 review, i said that this match wasn't that much better than at unfogiven, but in a way this does top it. This was just full of intensity right from the start and it started as a huge brawl at the begenning. Austin and angle went at each other in every way possible, with each men taking lots of punishment, especially angle. Angle got blooded early in this one from some vicious ringpost shots, but still continued to fight stone cold. Numerous brawls inside the ring and outside the ring. The real highlight of this match is angle kicking out of three stone cold stunners, which really amazed me. In the end, austin knew he couldn't beat angle so he took out 4 or 5 refs and just as angle was about to win it, a wcw ref, nick patrick disqualified austin. Overall, this was a very physical matchup that really showed off stone cold's heel character and angle's determination. A nice moment after the match when angle puts patrick in the ankle lock. Match Rating:4.75/5

WCW Championship
Booker T vs. The Rock
Once again, a very entergetic and intense match. Some nice action on the outside and a nice spot where bradshaw comes in and stops shane's interference by giving him a huge clothesline, which also led to shane getting a rock bottom. Some nice exchanges in this one, including each man getting their rock bottom/bookend finishers on each other. Overall, this match was very entertaining and was a good return match for the rock as he won the wcw belt from booker and proved that he is the only people's champion. A good main event to close a fantastic summerslam! Match Rating:4.5/5

Overall, a very good summerslam that i highly recommend to wrestling fans. A great wwe title match, a stunning ladder match, an entergetic main event, and every other match on the card was very solid.

5.0 out of 5 stars Summerslam 2001,probaly greatest Summerslam!, October 19, 2004
A Kid's Review
This review is from: WWF: Summer Slam 2001 (DVD)
Okay i'm gonna right a quick review cause i'm sort of tired of typing. i'll make a longer one later.

1. Lance Storm VS. Edge: Great opener and edge did good did some cool moves 9/10

2. Six Man Tag APA/Spike VS. Dudleyz/Test: Actually, a pretty good match. Spike try's the Dudley Dog but is sent flying through a table outside! 8.5/10

3. Tajiri VS. X-Pac: Good cruiserweight match with some awasome action. Not much else to be said. 8.5/10

4. Chris Jericho VS. Rhyno: A great match. Flashbacks to when rhyno was actually used right. and when stephanie was a total bitch. lol 9/10

5. Ladder match: Jeff Hardy VS. RVD: My favirote wrestler of all time, Jeff Hardy, VS. another great high flyer in RVD. An awesome match, second best on the card, with some unbelivable stuff. Wish jeff won. i miss him. 10/10

6. Steel Cage: Taker/Kane VS. DDP/KANYON: Well, not necasirily a good match, considering it's a cage match, but it is sometimes fun to watch Taker and Kane dominate 7.5/10

7. Stone Cold VS. Kurt Angle: Awesome match. Brutal. If Angle won, or at least if there was no DQ, it would be a hands down classic. Still, the match of the night. 10/10

8. The Rock VS. Booker T: A pretty good match, not as good as austin vs. angle, but pretty good. Rock rightfully wins the title and shane gets the heck beaten out of him. 9/10

5.0 out of 5 stars August 2001 Compaq Center San Jose, California, August 27, 2004
This review is from: WWF: Summer Slam 2001 (DVD)
Great PPV put together by the WWF. This PPV occurred about two months into the fued between the WWF and the Alliance.

1. Edge vs. Lance Storm (Intercontinental Title)
What a way to kick of the show. These two went at it from the get go. The action is very fast paced from the beginning right up to the very end. Many close falls in the match. It is too bad Lance Storm never got the respect he deserved in the WWE. (9/10)

2. Spike Dudley & APA vs. Tazz & The Dudley's
Another very exciting match. Spike takes a couple of nasty bumps in this match. Surprsing appearance from Shane McMahon. (8/10)

3. X-Pac vs. Tajiri (WWF Lightweight Title & WCW Cruiserweight Title)
Good match between two top notch cruiserweights. There are currently many rumors that X-Pac may return to the WWE. Entertaining match. (8.5/10)

4. Chris Jericho vs. Rhyno w/Stephanie McMahon
Decent match. It was not as good as I thought it would be. The two put on a good show nonetheless. Good beef between Jericho and Stephanie. (7.5/10)

5. Jeff Hardy vs. Rob Van Dam (WWF Hardcore Title/Ladder Match)
Wow!! Great match. This was at the time when the fans were cheering for both of these guys even thought RVD was in the Alliance. It is too bad Hardy is not in the WWE and RVD doesn't get put in better storylines. Great match. The two competitors were very innovative in the use of the ladders. The second best match of the night. (9.5/10)

6. Undertaker & Kane vs. DDP & Kanyon (WWF & WCW Tag Titles/Cage Match)
Very disappointing match. I was expecting a lot more. Basically it was a set up to get DDP inside the cage alone with Kane and Taker. (6/10)

7. Stone Cold Steve Austin vs. Kurt Angle (WWF Title)
Unbelievable match. These two put their hearts into this match. Very emotional match. You almost feel like you are there. Great match, but be aware: terrible ending. It may have been best match of the year if not for the ending. I would have given it a 10 if the ending was better. (9.5/10)

8. The Rock vs. Booker T (WCW Championship)
This was The Rock's return to WWF PPV's. These two had good beef going into this match, but the wrestling quality wasn't that great for a Summerslam main event. Good presence by Shane McMahon. Surprise appearance by the APA. (7.5/10)

I definately recommend picking up this DVD. Very exciting PPV. Get this for the ladder match and Austin/Angle match.

Overall Rating: 9/10

5.0 out of 5 stars FINALLY THE ROCK HAS COME BACK TO PAY PER VIEW, July 9, 2002
By
This review is from: WWE - SummerSlam (VHS Tape)
The 2001 WWE summerslam was real good because the rock had retuned after being out of action for nearly 4 months. Here are all the matches and how they were....
#1 WWE Intercontinental Championship: Lance Storm vs Edge: Good opening match that got the crowd's attention. It was the perfect match to start the ppv event.
#2 Dudley Boyz & Test vs A.P.A. & Spike Dudley- Really great match. Spike Dudley proved that he may be small but he is tough. What I thought was pretty much exciting about their rivaly was that the A.P.A. wanting revenge on Test after he costed them the WWE Tag team Titles.
#3 WCW Cruiserwight/WWE Lightheavweight Championship: X-Pac vs Tajiri- Great perfomance between two lightheavywights although it was kind of wierd having 2 WWE superstars fighting each other when the Alliance was around.
#4 Y2J vs Rhyno (with Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley)- Awsome match because Y2J was putting all he can to beat Rhyno(Which is something he has never done)and Y2J also got to put a lip lock on Stephanie!!
#5 WWE Hordcore Championship Ladder Match: Jeff Hardy vs RVD- Proved to be a worthy rematch from INVASION and it is one of the greatest ladder matches I've ever seen. These two superstars proved to be hardcore!
#6 WWE/WCW Tag Team Championship Steel Cage Match: Undertaker & Kane (With Sara)vs DDP and Kanyon- This is one of my favorite tag teams championship matches, considering the fact that there were titles garranteed to change hands and this time there was no way for DDP to away the Undertaker. This time Undertaker was able to do anything he wanted to DDP and there was nothing that DDP could do about it because he is surrounded by steel.
#7 WWE Championship: Stone Cold Steve Austin vs Kurt Angle- The best match where I've seen Kurt Angle in. In this match he definetly used his 3 I's (Integretty, Intensety, Intelligence)It was great to see Kurt withstand 3 stunners and put forth all he can to bring the WWE title back to the WWE. The only thing dissapointing was the end of the match.
#8 WCW Championship: Booker T vs The Rock- The Rock had his eye on beating up Austin but Booker T decided to go in his way which led up to this match. The match was great, lots of good moves were used, Rock withstanded interfearence, and the WWE was counting on Rock to win this match. The end of the match was great and made up for the ending of the WWE Championship.

I thought WWE Summer Slam 2001 was great WWE Pay Per View and I think anybody else would to if they get this. So buy it.
