WWF No Way Out 2000 - 1 Title, 1 Career,
By Dylan Magner (Wicklow, Ireland) - See all my reviews
This review is from: WWF: No Way Out 2000 [VHS] (VHS Tape)
No Way Out 2000 is a great PPV. Good matches, good storylines and good moves leading up to a unforgettable main event!!1. WWF Intercontinental Championship 2. WWF Tag Team Championships A good match, and perhaps the first time any members of DX where outsmarted in a match. Also many good in this match moves such as the 3D, the Wazzzzzzzzzup and the Bubba Bomb. 3. Special Challenge Match Not a great match, the only reason I'm giving it 3 stars is beacuse Viscera sends the steel stairs flying using Mark Henry's body, Mark Henry's wife May Young interferes and Mark Henry Hard Scoop Slams the 496 lbs. Viscera. 4. A match for a WWF Tag Team Title shot at Wrestlemania A really great match, a lot of this match was dominated by E&C , with Edge using entertaining moves he never used before like a Powerbomb or the Piledriver, and Christian turned air born to take out the Hardyz. But, when the Hardyz where on top it was nothing but high-flyin' action, using moves such as the Hardy Boyz Leg Drop, the Swanton Bomb and the Corkscrew Moonassault!! 5. Tazz v. Big Boss Man W/Prince Albert *** Nothing to report here, the match ended in disqualification 27 seconds after the match had started because Prince Albert interfered. The reason I gave it 3 stars is because the attack is long and Boss Man breaks his Nightstick over Tazz's head. 6. No Holds Barred Match An O.K. match that didn't live up to it's expectations. Kane Tombstones Tori and X-Pac pins Kane 1...2...3 using the steel stairs. 7. 6 Man Tag Match 8. A match for a WWF Title shot at Wrestlemania A very good match. A typical two championship materials going head to head into the crowd, get out, finisher, interference while the referee is knocked out, match changes hand. This match is no exception (Interference for the Big Show), while two referees beat the holy hell out of each other, Shane McMahon returns, hits The Rock over the head with a steel chair so Big Show could pick up the win. Main Event. WWF Championship and Cactus Jack's Career - Hell In A Cell A phenomenal match that started off well with HHH on top, beating him up and using the steel steps as a weapon. Later on Cactus got a steel chair inside the ring, both men getting their fair share of beatings. Later on HHH busted the Cell open with the steel steps, lucky fo Jack because the door was locked. They where outside when moments later Cactus got the 2/4 wrapped in barbed wire, with that in sight HHH had no choice but to climb to the top of the Cell, sawing Cactus's head with the barbed wire to where he fell 20 feet through the Spanish announcers table. Up top the Cell was where both men continued to beat the holy hell out of each other, then minuets later Cactus lit the barbed wired 2/4 on fire with some kind of gas fuse on the top of the Cell. The match appeared to be over as Cactus signalled the Piledriver, but HHH through him over his head where the Cell broke and Cactus fell 20 feet, and fell through the ring. Unbelievably, Cactus got up, but HHH gave him the Pedigree two pick up the victory and retain the WWF Title. Although at the end Cactus refused to be carried out on a stretcher and left, Career over... standing!!

No Way Out 2000,
By A Customer
This review is from: WWF: No Way Out 2000 [VHS] (VHS Tape)
No Way Out was by far one of the best pay per views that I have ever seen. One last chance for Cactus Jack to bring home the gold as he squares off against Triple for the WWF Title inside Hell In A Cell.If Cactus loses he will be forced to leave the WWF forever. Who will face the champion at Wrestlemania for the belt as Big Show and the Rock fight for that right. Kurt Angle the European Champion puts out all the stops against Chris Jericho in a match for the Intercontinental title. The Radicalz= Dean Malenko, Perry Saturn, and Chris Benoit , accompanied by Eddie Guerrero make their WWF debut against Too Cool and Rikishi Phatu. Edge and Christian battle the Hardy Boys for a shot at the tag team champions at Wrestlemania. Mark Henry defends the honor of his lover Mae Young as he faces Viscera in a Special Challenge Match. X-Pac accompanied by Torrie tries to settle the score with Kane, as Kane tries to get even with X-Pac for taking Torrie away as they battle in a No Holds Barred Match. Tag Team Gold on the line as the New Age Outlaws take on the Dudley Boys. Tazz tries to settle the score with Big Bossman, but what happens when Bossman is accompanied by Prince Albert. By far the best No Way Out I have ever seen.

This show has a very significant historical value. You know what I mean people, but if you don't just read. Opening match- Kurt Angle vs. Chris Jericho for the intercontinental title- good opener, ***1/4. 2nd, New Age Outlaws vs. Dudley Boyz for the tag team titles- Billy Gunn got hurt on Smackdown so this match is all Road Dogg vs. Dudleyz, pretty crappy, *. 3rd, Mark Henry vs. Viscera- at least it was quick, DUD. 4th, Edge & Christian vs. Hardy Boyz- great tag team match, ***3/4. 5th, Big Bossman w/ Prince Albert vs. Tazz- this was nothing but a time filler, DUD. 6th, No Holds Barred, Kane vs. X-Pac- not bad or anything but their match at Armageddon 1999 was better, **1/4. 7th, Radicalz vs. Too Cool & Rikishi- Radicalz first ppv, great six-man tag match, ****. 8th, The Rock vs. Big Show- Shane McMahon returns during the match and shocks everyone. Match sucked, *1/2. Main event- WWF title vs. Career, Cactus Jack vs. Triple H in a Hell In A Cell match- Great match for Foley to go out on, *****. If you have never seen the HHH-Cactus Jack match you need to NOW. Incredible match with eye-popping spots. Very recommended.

This is the grreatest video I have ever watched. Not only does it feature the Hell in a Cell between HHH and Mick Foley, which is the best match I've ever seen in my 10 years of being a wrestling fan, but also The Rock vs. The Big Show and Curt Angle vs. Chris Jericho. There are also about 5 other awesome matches on this card, making it a mujst for any true wrestling fan.

Another Great PPV,

This review is from: WWF: No Way Out 2000 [VHS] (VHS Tape)
I saw No Way Out live and was very pleased. It was good to be there to see Mick Foley's last match. Both men (Triple H and Mick Foley) put on a great show and they both deserve a lot of credit. The only boring match was Viscera vs. Mark Henry. This was a good match for two big guys, but it was a little boring to see them repeat the same moves. The crowd even started to get tired and started chanting, "Boring!" The Radicals vs. Too Cool was good, but it ran a little too long. The Hardy Boyz vs. Edge and Christien wasn't one of their better matches, but it was good. This was, overall, a pretty good pay-per-view!

80-76%-perfect
75-71%-awsome 70-66%-good 65-61%-poor 60-56%-awful 1. Chris Jerico vs. Kurt Angle- This was an awsome choice for an opener. About a 12 minute really soild title match. There were some great moves. One was when jerico did a moonsault off of the steel stps. This was not that slow paced and it kept the crowd involved. Good opener. Winner and new ITC champ kurt angle. Match rating 8.5/10. 2. The dudleys vs. DX for the tag team titles- This was a decent 5 minute tag match. I wish they would have let these guys go a little longer but i was happy with the amout of effort that they put in with the ring time they got. Fast paced action and this is when the dudleys won there first tag titles. Winners and new wwe tag champs the dudleys. Match Rating 6/10. 3. Mark Henry vs. Viscera- This was proboly one of the worst story lines ever. it was just awful and this match was to. I think this was a 4 minute match and the only part i really liked about it was there were some nice ring shots. Awful ending with henry winning with a scoop slam. Winner Mark Henry match Rating 2/10. 4. Edge and christian vs. the hardys for the #1 contenders for the titles- This was an awsome tag match. Maybe a little to long at 16 minutes but i dont think so sience both teams are very goo. there was alot of bakc and forth action and then it slowed down but a surprising way to end the match. Winners edge and christian. Match Rating 8.5/10. 5. Tazz vs. The big boss man- You talk about an awful match this was it right here. i really dont have alot to say about this match. This was about a minute and a half and ended in a dq. I dont think i have seen this bad of a mens match on a ppv. Winner by dq tazz. Mathc Rating 1/10. 6. Kane vs. X-Pac no dq- This was not as good as i thought it was going to be. Yes it was worth the 9 minutes it got but i was hoping to see a little more weapons used and i only got a few. This match did get the fans involved but i also thought that the ending was a little weak. Winner X-Pac. Match Rating 7/10. 7. Rikishi and too cool vs. The Radicals- This was another long tag match. it was ok but i got kind of bored with this after awhile. Not much to say here except this was a decent tag match and was a little to long. Winners too cool and rikishi. Match Rating 6.5/10. 8. Big Show vs. The Rock #1 contender for the wwe title- Wow was i expecting alot from this match and i did not get it. I loved how the match started out they went outside and i was set but when the ending came at the 9 minute mark i was so confused. I was hoping that this would last like 15 minutes but it did not. There was a nice ending with a surprise but i wish the maatch was longer. Winner Big Show. Match Rating 6.5/10. 9. HHH vs. Cactus Jack hell in a cell for the wwe title- This is my second favorite hell in a cell match of all time. Maybe tied with the first one with michales but it think it was a little above that. At this time the barbwire and the fire and the sick bumps that mick took for the wwe. They put on a master piece and this match really saved the ppv. Great stuff by both men. Winner and still wwe champ HHH. Match Rating 10/10. Well that raps up another. I would give no way out 200 a grade of 56/90 which means it is a poor ppv. That might be a little harsh but two of these matches you dont want to even watch. I would still recomend to get it for the jerico angle match, The edge and hardys match, the hell in a cell and the rest of the ppv is decent but i would still try to find it. I would appericate it if you told me if my review was helpful or not. You can also check out my other reviews. Thanks for your time.

No Way out 2000: Foley's Last Great Match
WWF Intercontinental Title Match: Chris Jericho (c) vs. Kurt Angle This was a great match to start a ppv off. There was plenty of action in and out of the ring such as Jericho moonsault of the steel steps. This match had the potential into being a true classic although it did its job in engaging the audience to No Way Out. 8/10 WWF Tag Team Title Match: Dudley Boyz vs. New Age Outlaws (c) A short match that shows the Dudley boyz future manoeuvres. It was fairly entertaining although I believe it was too short for a championship match. Dudleys win making wwf history as two title changes in a row. 7/10 Special Challenge Match: "Sexual Chocolate" Mark Henry vs. Viscera This was a short but brutal super heavyweight match-up with a crappy storyline aswell. Don't waste your time with this one. 4/10 Tag Team No. 1 Contender Match: Edge & Christian vs. Hardy Boyz with Terri This match really surprised me it was very fast paced with plenty of action. There was a complete arsenal of high flying manoeuvres performed by both teams throughout the match. This was the match that got me engaged after the boring Henry vs. Vis match. 9/10 Tazz vs. Big Boss Man with Prince Albert This match should've been no dq from that Tazz wins by dq in the opening 2 minutes. Only good moment of this brawl was Boss Man whacking Tazz with the nightstick. 3.5/10 No Holds Barred Match: X-Pac with Tori vs. Kane A good match that seemed a little short than what it intended to be. There were plenty of hard hits throughout the match with a grand surprising ending giving X-pac the win. 7/10 Six-Man Tag Match: Too Cool & Rikishi Phatu vs. Perry Saturn, Chris Benoit & Dean Malenko with Eddie Guerrero This was another exciting match that once again got me back engaged to the ppv. A very fast tag team match with a huge amount of cool manoeuvres used by both teams. Rikishi plants his ass on Beniot and then Malenko to pick a well deserved victory. 8/10 Wrestlemania Qualifying Match: Big Show vs. The Rock To tell the truth this match was a real let down to the whole ppv. It seemed throughout the match that neither Big show nor Rock knew what they were doing. Luckily the interference from Shane O Mac saved the match making it worth watchable. Big show wins. 6.5/10 Hell in a Cell - WWF Championship Match: Triple H (c) with Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley vs. Cactus Jack This was definitely one of the absolute best main event that I`ve ever seen in a WWE pay per view event. It elevated the ppv to greatness in other words. Foley and HHH delivered a match that none of us will ever forget. There is tons of blood throughout the match bleed by both competitors. I will never forget Mick getting back dropped through the cell. I would like to say that Mick Foley was the real people's champion of the WWE who put his life on the line just to give us the viewers a show that will never be forgotten. Thankyou Mick for your 19yrs of wrestling entertainment. 10/10 Overall mark is 63/90 which is 70% saying that this ppv was a one match ppv although in my opinion a match that all wrestling fans need to watch to comprehend the true passion that Mick Foley had for wrestling. Thankyou for taking the time to read for review on No Way Out 2000.

WWF NO WAY OUT 2000,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: WWF: No Way Out 2000 [VHS] (VHS Tape)
THIS WAS AN UNBELIEVABLE PPV. IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN WWF WRESTLEMANIA 2000. THIS WWF PAY-PER-VIEW SHOULD BE SIX STARS. THE NO HOLDS BARRED MATCH WITH KANE VS. X-PAC WAS A GREAT MATCH.X-PAC KICKED STEEL STAIRS IN THE FACE OF KANE GIVING HIM THE VICTORY. THE SIX MAN TAG TEAM MATCH BETWEEN TOO COOL AND RIKISHI VS. CHRIS BENOIT, DEAN MALENKO, AND PERRY SATURN WAS A PRETTY GOOD MATCH. THE TEAM OF TOO COOL AND RIKISHI CAME OUT ON TOP AT THE END. THE QUALIFYING MATCH FOR THE WRESTLEMANIA MAIN EVENT WAS THE BIG SHOW TAKING ON THE ROCK. SHANE MCMAHON ENDED UP GETTING INVOLVED IN THE MATCH. THE SHOW GOT THE VICTORY AT THE END. THE BEST MATCH OF THE NIGHT AND MAYBE THE BEST MATCH OF ALL TIME WAS THE HELL IN A CELL MATCH FOR THE WWF CHAMPIONSHIP BETWEEN TRIPLE H AND CACTUS JACK. IF THE GAME WON MICK FOLEY WOULD HAVE TO RITIRE AND IF CACTUS WON HE WOULD GO TO WRESTLEMANIA AND BATTLE IN THE MAIN EVENT. THIS WAS THE MOST UNPREDICTABLE AND MOST AMAZING HELL IN A CELL MATCH OF ALL TIME. AT THE END FOLEY'S DREAM OF GOING TO WRESTLEMANIA MAIN EVENT WENT UP IN SMOKE WHEN THE GAME TRIPLE H ENDED HIS CAREER. YOU HAVE TO GET WWF NO WAY OUT 2000 BECAUSE YOU HAVE TO SEE IT TO BELIEVE IT.

This review is from: WWF: No Way Out 2000 [VHS] (VHS Tape)
Being a true wrestling fan really brought this Pay Per View to my attention. This was probably one of the greatest Pay Per Views in the WWF's history, and featuring possibly the greatest singles match in its history, the Hell in a Cell. WWF Champ Triple H defends against Cactus Jack, the hardcore persona of Mick Foley, with his career on the line. I won't give out any endings, but the effort these two superstars were tremendous. Other matches included Intercontinental Champion Chris Jericho vs Eurpean Champion Kurt Angle and the Rock vs the Big Show for contendership of the WWF Championship. If you are looking for a real desent wrestling event to watch, it's right here.
