From the back cover

The Hoosier Dome comes alive as Randy Savage fought for the WF Championship against his most hated foe, a Casanova with a "Flair" for Miss Elizabeth! Bret Hart looks to capture Intercontinental gold from Rowdy Roddy Piper. The fury of the Hulkster takes center stage against Sid Justice while the Heartbreak Kid begins his solo career in style! Many experts felt WrestleMania® VIII was one of the biggest nights in history and now you can be part of it!

WWF WrestleMania 8

4/5/92

Hooiser Dome Indianapolis,Indiana

On Air Commentators;Gorilla Monsoon,and Bobby "The Brain" Heenan

Shawn Michaels defeated El Matador/Tito Santana.

The Undertaker defeated Jake "The Snake" Roberts(The Undertaker tombstones Roberts on the arena floor.Then gets him in the ring and covers him for the pin.Roberts wouldnt return to the WWF until 1996).

Intercontinental Championship Match;

Bret Hart defeated "Rowdy" Roddy Piper to win the Intercontinental Championship.(***** match,one of the best matches in Brets career).

Virgil,The Big Bosman,Jim Duggan and Sgt Slaughter defeated The Repo Man,The Mountie and The Nasty Boys.

WWF Championship Match;

"Macho Man" Randy Savage defeated Ric Flair to become the new WWF Champion after an rollup.

Tatanka defeated Rick "The Model" Martel(They would end up having another match at the 1992 Survivor Series).

WWF Tag Team Championship Match;

The Natural Disasters defeated WWF Tag Team Champions Money Inc by countout however the Natural Disasters do not win the tag team titles.

"The Rocket" Owen Hart defeated Skinner

Hulk Hogan defeated Sid Justice(Sid Vicious/Sycho Sid)by disqualification after interference from Harvey Wippleman.(After the match an unknown guy Papa Shango(The Godfather) makes his way to the ring and him and Sid Justice pound on Hogan.Then the Ultimate Warrior returns last seen after SummerSlam 1991 and takes out Papa Shango,then Hogan takes out Sid Justice and then the Warrior/Hogan celebrate after the match before Wrestlemania 8 comes to an close).

Overall an good Wrestlemania.The best matches were Shawn Michaels vs Tito Santana,The Undertaker vs Jake the "Snake" Roberts,Bret Hart vs "Rowdy" Roddy Piper for the Intercontinental Title in an rare "face vs face" match,"Macho Man" Randy Savage vs Ric Flair for the WWF Championship,and Hulk Hogan vs Sid Vicious.

1992 also signified an change in the WWF.Hogan would soon leave the WWF not returning to Janury of 1993 and then leaving by June of 1993, The Ultimate Warrior would leave the WWF and week before the 1992 Survivor Series not returning until 1996 before getting yes fired again, and Ric Flair would leave the WWF in early 1993 not returning until nearly 9 years later but back to 1992,stars like Hulk Hogan,The Ultimate Warrior,and Ric Flair were aging and Vince decided that newer stars like Bret Hart,The Undertaker,and Shawn Michaels could take the WWF to superstardom.By October of 1992 Bret Hart was WWF Champion and Shawn Michaels was Intercontinental Champion and they had an match at the 1992 Survivor Series for Harts WWF belt(which Hart won)but which proved that size doesnt matter and that Bret could single handidly carry the WWF in the post Hulk A Mania Era.Nough said.

5.0 out of 5 stars WWF WrestleMania 8 The Big Show, March 28, 2006
By
The Warrior (Jacksonville, North Carolina) - See all my reviews
This review is from: WWF WrestleMania VIII (VHS Tape)
4/5/92 was a good time to be a wrestling fan, but more importantly a wwf wrestling fan because it was time for WWF Wrestlemania 8 which saw a fair share of moments that include Bret Hart (pre 1997 Survivor Series) facing Rowdy Roddy Piper for the I C title as well as a couple of main events 1. Randy Savage vs. Ric Flair (WWF title) 2. Hulk "Thunder Lips" Hogan vs Sid Justice. In other action The Undertaker defeated Jake "The Snake" Roberts by pinfall, Shawn Michaels defeated Tito Santana by pinfall. (If you were more like your famous brother Carlos you would still be around Tito.) Sargent Slaughter/"Hacksaw" Jim Duggan/The Big Boss Man/Virgil defeated The Mountie/Repo Man/The Nasty Boys by pinfall. (Ray "Survey says" Combs was the ring announcer for this match) RIP. Tatanka defeated Rick "The Model" Martel by pinfall. Owen Hart (RIP) defeated Skinner by pinfall. Money inc defeated "The Natural Disasters" (EarthQuake/Typhoon) by countout. All and all this was a good wrestlemania that should be picked up from Amazon.com, or anywhere videos/dvds are sold.
