A must have style for your bra wardrobe
Retro Chic is Wacoal’s top selling seamed bra for good reason. The U-shaped leotard back on Retro Chic gives additional support and keeps the bra straps from slipping. Sized up to an H cup, the bandwidth increases in proportion to the cup size to further ensure you’re well supported.
Provides full coverage in an attractive design
Never sacrifice fashion for function! Our vintage-inspired Chantilly lace is of the highest quality, and when combined with non-stretch mesh delivers a powerful garment with a soft look and feel.

That said, this is not a cleavage creating low cut top type of bra. It does not push up, and is not like a balcony or half cup style bra that creates a more rounded shape. This bra brings everything straight forward. If you're looking for projection, this is great bra. It has a two part cup, with the seam going horizontally across the middle. I personally do not care for molded seamless cup bras.
The bra is so feminine for a full cup style bra. I'd purchased it for everyday type wear and think its lovely for that. It might not appear super sexy, but under clothing it certainly creates a super sexy profile. The matching panties are very feminine as well.
I have this bra in black, heather pink, and also in cappuccino, and feel that the cappuccino is the prettiest. I rarely reach for the black, I wish it was all black. The black is black lace over a sheer white netting, while the cappuccino has a nude/taupe type net under the lace that makes the bra appear more sheer, as the skin looks to be more exposed, even though its really not. The pink is a nice pastel pink (more about color choices below).
This bra will show at the top if you have a low cut or sort of low but wide neckline.
One thing I've noticed is that these bras tend to feel tight in the band. You might want to consider ordering "sister sizing" (go up a back size and down a cup size) if you're undecided. For reference I have a 31.5" rib cage, and most often wear a 34G (US and UK sizing).Read more ›
And for some reason they bra does not put all the weight on your shoulders. Holds the breasts high without pushing them out. I recommend it, but be sure you know your size. you can try this bra on in Macys or Nordstroms for size. I did notice a slightly different... texture to the one bought at the dept. store and the one bought on Amazon. Like the embroidery was just a bit flayed on the pink one. Perhaps they wash them or put some product on them at the store..
Thus the three stars and not the five I have given other Wacoals.
Update Sept 2012 - I've had these bras for about 8 months (I don't wear them very often so still in good shape)and although I still like them, I have to be careful what I wear them under. The shirt can't be too thin, definitely nothing clingy, or the seams show through. I also can't wear anything with a scooped neckline, or the top peaks out. The material is still comfortable, especially for lace, and I really liked the retro look, and cup shape, but the wire can dig a little by the end of the day. I'm just less enthusiastic than I was when I first bought them.

This is a beautiful bra, well made and with excellent support. Be aware that it is indeed retro, does not give your breast a round ball shape. Read morePublished 18 hours ago by Isabelle

The bra fits but the straps are too far apart so they keep falling off my shoulders.Published 7 days ago by Amazon Customer
Good fitting bra but I bought a 36 since I had a 34. I was surprised that it was a little tighter than the 34.Published 7 days ago by M. Johnson
