5.0 out of 5 stars Finally!
I am a 34 DD and have had a hard time finding a sports bra that comes in my size, doesn't do the uniboob, and doesn't make me embarrassingly pointy! This bra manages to provide good support for moderate-high impact activity while breathing, giving great shaping, feeling pretty comfortable, and fitting a narrower-chested but fuller-busted woman! 5.0 out of 5 stars Finally!, July 28, 2009
This review is from: Wacoal Women's Sport Bra #855170 (Apparel)
I am a 34 DD and have had a hard time finding a sports bra that comes in my size, doesn't do the uniboob, and doesn't make me embarrassingly pointy! This bra manages to provide good support for moderate-high impact activity while breathing, giving great shaping, feeling pretty comfortable, and fitting a narrower-chested but fuller-busted woman! It provides full-coverage. The fit is exactly like it is for their regular bras, so order your usual size (I usually have to order the DDD in sports bras but not this one!) The underwire is on the outside which is strange but effective. I am finding it relatively durable as well by machine-washing in a protective mesh capsule and hang-drying. I am going to replace my entire workout bra wardrobe with these as I can afford to! Hallelujah!

This bra rocks! Great sports or T- shirt bra. After nursing two kids, believe me, I can use all the help I can get. Seemed pretty true to size, although it fit a little tight at first. As for working out, it really provided WAY more support than I have ever had in a bra. I bought one in black and white and use them both a lot for working out or otherwise. It really lifts and if you are large busted (like me) is instantly slimming. My husband was like, "Huh?" Also, I have had them for some time, and they wash and wear well. I LOVE this bra, and it was totally worth the exta expense.

This is the best sports bra out there for us full figured gals. Super comfortable and great support. This is the second one I've purchased. It was delivered in perfect condition and within a few days.

I'm a 32G. Very slim waist, but quite a full bust. I've been wearing wrong sized bras until this year. I purchased Wacoal because the brand is known for its designs for big ladies like myself. It has been extremely difficult for me to find something that is COMPLETELY FULL COVERAGE and still able to give me a lift. This bra definitely gives me a Full coverage. If you're trying to find something sexy, to expose part of your breasts, this isn't the bra.
As a new customer, the under wires can be extremely uncomfortable. You kind of just have to get used to it. It was uncomfortable at the beginning but now, I've become accustomed to it. It shapes your breasts into a very rounded shape (which some people aren't a fan of).
So if you're like me, and have trouble finding the right sized bra, and have to visit Nordstorm (big stores) and buy bras on regular price ($62+), want a full coverage, a slight lift, and rounded shapes to your breast, then this is probably something you should try. It's a bra you have to adapt to, it will not be comfortable at first. The nylon isn't friendly to some people. This is also a bra you shouldn't throw in your washer/dryer system, because it will ruin your bra under wire. I hand wash and air dry mine, which may also be nuisance to many people.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best bra period!, October 23, 2009

After spending hundreds of dollars over the years trying to finding a comfortable support bra for 36D 50+ breasts succumbing to gravity, I've finally found it. Although it was difficult to spend $60 for one bra when I can usually find name-brand bras on sale locally for $20-25, I decided to try this bra based on the positive reviews. Most recently, I wore a Moving Comfort sports bra as my regular bra, but it didn't provide the lift that the Wacol provides. My profile image in the mirror was not pleasing. Most name-brand bras for full-figured women are designed to be sexy rather than practical and comfortable. The fabrics are flimsy, and the backs and straps too narrow. This bra is supportive and comfortable without being industrial looking. I hope they continue to make this style.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wacoal Sports Bra 855170, February 26, 2011

This is a wonderful bra. I have searched for years for a comfortable sports bra that would allow me to stay cool just running errands. It is comfortable and well designed. When I purchased it at Dillards, it didn't come in so many colors. I paid full retail $62 plus tax for the bra. I should think it would have been cheaper online because they have very little overhead and infrastructure to maintain.

I didn't dream this one would work. I was at the end of my rope and considered going braless rather than suffer the pain, pressure, scrapes, and wounds created by other sports bras. I love it so much I'll pay the price. I ordered three bras (white, beige, & black) in size 40DD.

Oprah recommended a really expensive bra that would hold large breasted women in place. The problem is I like breathing. I rushed through my exercise routine just to get out of that horrible harness. I really think this is the final bra. I hope Wacoal thinks of making a version in 100% cotton. Florida is a very hot climate in the summer. You just sweat standing in the shade.

Thanks Walcoal!

Note:

Do not wash the bra with other items the fibers will adhere to the bra straps
Wash the bra with light colors only.
Do not place the bra in the dry.

Place it on a skirt hanger (clips) and hang to dry. It will last longer. It dries fast.

4.0 out of 5 stars Super lift and smooth under clothes - will be back for more!, January 26, 2011
This review is from: Wacoal Women's Sport Bra #855170 (Apparel)
I have been wearing this bra in a 36 DDD for 3 days now and am very happy with it. Previously, I was wearing an anita Light and Firm sports bra but it was not doing the job if you know what I mean! Very comfy bra tho...Great around the house.

This bra has great uplift without hard pointy or strangely molded cups - there are 2 layers of stretch fabric - so I have a natural round shape and tho I still have cleavage my boobs are NOT all smashed together like in most soft cup bras. The fabric is not too thin so I'm comfy wearing it under knits plus it's smooth in front and back unlike so many sports bras that have thick back straps with hooks or velcro creating bumps under clothing.
I have to have the wide straps and this bra has them. They are not padded but so far they are comfy and not bulky. I am also pleased with the lack of extreme backfat spillage one would normally expect from a supportive bra. The back is wide enough in this size that it pretty much holds it all in. That sounds gross doesn't it? lol
I don't have do constantly adjust this bra or yank on the straps etc..

Yes, it is a very structured bra so it's not like wearing your jammies all day but the results are worth it. I look much slimmer. I had to adjust to wearing an underwire again but enjoy the secure feeling. I like that the underwire is on the outside.

My only complaint and it's a small one is that the inside stitching on one side is a little itchy. I put a piece of tissue between it and my skin and that took care of it. It probably wouldn't bother most people. When I try on bras almost all feel incredibly scratchy - this one is well made without a lot of inner scratchy seams or lacy edges to drive you bonkers. Even tho the underwires hit my underarms (I am short) they are not irritating.

I would not run in it but there aren't a lot of bras I'd run in (probably because I'm not a runner!)
I'm sure in a smaller size it would be a great sports bra. I prefer a more heavy duty bra for high impact activities....like say...walking at a brisk pace ;)

It's new so I can't say how well this bra wears yet but I prefer to have just a couple of bras and replace them often so I'll be back for more of this particular style.

I wear a 34G and have struggled finding a comfortable and supportive sports bra. This is by far the best one I've found. I do not run, but it's great for medium impact activities and its comfortable enough to wear all day. I sometimes even wear it to work because it provides nice lift and has a minimizing effect. I plan to purchase more in the future.

This is a very good bra for everyday. I wouldn't run in it, but it does an excellent job of providing support for an active lifestyle. I hate having to constantly readjust a bra, but this one stays in place all day.

I like this bra, but its not the best supporting bra, considering that I am 32E. The cups fit perfectly but it doesnt give full support like some other brands do, plus that it is tight, really tight.
