Product Description

The Cintiq 24HD touch offers creative professionals the most natural and complete tool for design, video, art and animation. The integration of multi-touch capabilities directly on the Cintiq screen, along with Wacom's most advanced pen technology, give you a truly "hands-on" creative experience as you work digitally. In addition, the new display in the Cintiq 24HD touch offers stellar color performance thanks to advanced LED backlighting. Delivering a 97% Adobe RGB color gamut and over one billion colors, the Cintiq 24HD touch is ideal for any color-critical workflow. Advanced software support for direct on-screen multi-touch is growing. For example, Corel's latest PainterTM 12.2 update demonstrates how advanced multi-touch and pen input support provides a harmonious digital painting experience for artists. Multi-touch support varies by operating system and individual application. Many creative software partners are adding Cintiq on-screen gesture support.

Very happy and overjoyed with this purchase.

Even though the pen disables touch when in proximity, accidental stray marks are a common occurrence.

Wacom Cintiq 24HD Touch PN#DTH2400
I've been using it for 8 months (Sep. 2013 since buying it in January) to really get a feel for it. I use my Wacom Cintiq 24HD Touch PN#DTH2400 for 2D & 3D programs extensively (60/40 split).

Environment:
You need a large, independent work space. The base of this thing just takes up too much room. I've scratched my desk already moving it forward/backward when not in use & using it as a monitor. Also, I think some type of 'U' design for the base would have been more beneficial and allow me to utilize more of my space and put my stuff under the screen.

Screen:
The screen isn't that bright and it is quite frustrating. I actually had to change my work environment (see pic with windows behind my monitor) where I loved windows, etc to more black-out shades (to pull down behind & around) and less natural light. I also can't wear light-colored clothing in front of the screen because then you see the glare/reflection when you sit in front of it. Screen is fragile and seems cheap--I'm scared to death that it may scratch like others have mentioned. I did put on a POSRUS Antiglare Touch Screen Protector for Wacom Cintiq 24HD Pen Display DTK2400.

Functionality:
Yes, it's Wacom's old innovation and restricting patents that work well so yes, it is a pretty cool device; however, I wish i could selectively 'block' areas of the screen to DISABLE touch. Yes, you CAN disable touch on the entire screen but that's not my use-case.

Some thoughts after using it every day for over a year:

+ It's a dream to use with Corel Painter 12.2+. You can simultaneously zoom, pan, and rotate with multitouch. It's taken digital painting to a new level. I am faster, more accurate, and it's a lot more fun now. No other app is this good though, except for Artrage on Windows (Mac doesn't support this same multitouch) and Sketchbook Pro (but it's buggy, always fits-to-view while I'm drawing).

+ Through display port, the screen can display over a billion colors. *Specific to the 24hd Touch, all other versions have much lower color gamut. Using this with Painter is incredibly vibrant. It's like painting with the most colorful light your eyes can see.

+ Nice feel of drawing surface, even after a year. No scratches, and still has nice texture.

+ Touch hardware is accurate and responsive. I didn't expect it to be quite this good. The software support is the weakness here.

+ The brightness has been increased to 300nit, from previous generations 90nit! Maybe the other reviewer is using this out doors or doesn't know how to adjust brightness? In a proper studio environment, 300nit is blinding to stare at up close, but this is useful if there are windows in your studio.

+ Easy on the eyes. The screen is very comfortable to look at for long hours. The pixel density is not that great, but because of this text is easy to read, buttons are large and easy to touch, and the pen is very accurate. I don't feel visually fatigued after a day's work.

+ Nice that it can hang over the edge of a desk, and adjust to so many angles.

- Bulky!

had a little goof up in shipping which had it arrive a few days late, but it arrived in good condition. never have used a Wacom or pen tablet before now, so going through a bit of a learning curve at the moment. however, i can see where this will speed up some processes during the course of any given project. have not done a full blown design project yet. just been baby stepping through daily tasks like emails, spread sheets, and organization chores. i look forward to hitting PS and AI with this. functions as advertised. nice having the dual ability of touch and pen. if you have the cash and the time, i would recommend this as an addition to your digital studio.

I would recommend this to all professionals who might be tempted by this item. The touch screen is responsive, the pen interaction flawless (once calibrated).

Wacom has a good update cycle for its drivers, and if you keep up-to-date you will not be disappointed. Just make this part of your maintenance schedule.

One of the most top drawing tablet device ever. It can help the artists and animators a lot of things that they can work for their companies, media productions, etc.

That's why Wacom Cintiq 24 HD Touch is the most best.
