An amazing companion to Photoshop CS3,

I never used a tablet before, and few reviews I had read said that it was hard to work with the pen looking at the screen. It just took a couple of days using it with Photoshop, Flash, Fireworks and video games to get used to using it instead of the mouse. I am still trying to improve my ability with the pen, but I am finding more and more, I can speed up my designs and get a little more accuracy and I am sure the more I use it the better I will get with it. I would definitely recommend the Wacom Intous 3 SE 6 x 8 for graphic design, and web design. I have a wide screen 20" monitor and it adapted to it quickly. The pressure sensitivity is a real helpful feature, by using increased pressure to make lines wider, or less pressure to make thin lines. Can't do that with a mouse. And being able to flip pen to erase is a feature I have used a lot for photo & graphic editing, it is so quick and easy. If the Special Edition is still available when you go to buy, it can add addition savings in the long run.

Wacom Intuos3 SE 6x8 - Special Edition This pen tablet is one of the best for visual artist, designers, photogrpahers and any one else who is tired of being tethered to a mouse. The Intuos3 gives you much more creativity and exacting freedon than you could get from a mouse. It is intuitive to learn, but there is also a learnig curve. The best way to get comfotable with this tablet is to put your mouse in a drawer and use the tablet excusively. The only downside is finding enough room on a crowded desk for this, slightly larger than a magazine, tablet.

I can't stress enough how great all the intuos3 products are. They are wonderful. I don't even use a mouse anymore and I've found myself looking for one to bring to work. ( I'm a graphic designer )
Anyway for those of you who don't have one yet at the very least do not use the option to buy photoshop elements with this product. It in fact comes bundled with it when I got mine. So that means free boys and girls. Don't pay money for something you already get for free. Other than that.. Check out some tutorials on digital painting(youtube) if you want to be amazed. This is a great product.

This was a gift for my husband, but I have been loving it myself. It came with great programs, like Adobe Photoshop and Corel Draw. It sits flat and doesn't take up much space on the desk, and it looks nice too!
