This refurbished model is virtually indistinguishable from a brand new product.

I highly recommend buying these refurbished tablets if you get the chance or want to save a huge chunk of money.
Chong Moua
Takes some time to adjust to using, so there is a learning curve to the feel of the pen.

OK, just to be up front, I am not the seller writing a good review for a product I am selling. I saw a couple of "reviews" on here that looked a little suspicious to me, but I decided to buy the Intuos4 (small, refurbished) anyway because it was almost $100 off the regular price. So, what's my review?

FANTASTIC. Amazing product, and a total steal for $139 bucks.

I got the item in about 3 days, which was faster than I expected. When I opened the shipping box, the product box appeared to be in almost mint condition. There was no cellophane on the product box, but the box was sealed with a sticker, and no tears were visible so I am assuming the box was new. When I opened the box, the tablet, pen, mouse, nibs and nib holder were all wrapped properly and everything looked brand new when I opened it up. The smaller items were bound and sealed as if brand new. So, overall if you didn't tell me this was a refurbished item, I would swear that it was all brand new.

However, the proof is in the use. So I hooked it up... this was a little tricky. The tablet can be oriented either for left handed people or right handed, and there are actually 2 USB cords that look the same at first glance, but a more careful inspection reveals that there is actually a "right" and "left" cable. Since there is only 1 USB connector, you can choose whichever cable is going to work better for your particular setup, which is very nice. Like I said, the equipment was in mint condition, and I had no problem whatsoever installing the tablet drivers on my Mac. It is deceptively simple to look at the tablet, but you can customize almost anything on it via software drivers. While the product doesn't come with a printed instruction manual, there is the ubiquitous 104 page *.

Pros:
I must have researched for days and could not pass this one by! Even though this product is refurbished, I decided to go with the best price as I am a discount shopper, as well as a 'Gadget Head'. I love all kinds of electronic gadgets and I have to say that this is one of my favorites. It is really sexy, black, sleek, easy to clean. I have the small pen tablet, and let me tell you that it is not too small at all. Although the active area looks small, when you are drawing on it and looking on screen, you haveplenty of room. I love this thing and play with it all the time. I am a graphic artist and also love playing around with photoshop, so this is it!

Cons:
Really, to be very honest, the only thing that I can think of is that it does not hide finger prints well, but I have one of those computer cloths for wiping the monitor glass, etc., and it works like magic to clean this tablet. Anyway, as long as the fingerprints don't interfere with what you are doing, who really cares?

Overall Review:
Fantastic product even though it is refurbished. Also, I have to say that it took me a little while to decide whether to go with the Intuos4 or the Bamboo Fun tablet, and I know that I have made the right choice. You will definitely NOT be disappointed. There is so much that you can do with this tablet that it is INSANE! Buy. One. Now.

Even though it says it's refurbished, but it doesn't seem like it. It's brand new and works perfectly. Fast shipping! and I love it!!

I ordered the refurbished model to save money because:
a) college student
b) not an art major (but I love drawing on the side)
c) the reviews said that the refurbished ones were just as good as new.

Condition: When I got my tablet it was in the box, looking good as new. No scratches or anything. All the accessories were with it as well. It came with 10 pen nibs so no buying replacements for a LONG while!

Size: So I know it says it's SMALL, but honestly when you start using it it SEEMS HUGE! I was worried about size at first, but I am perfectly happy with it's size.

Software: Luckily the code to download software from Wacom had not been used yet. So I'm pretty lucky to get all that software free as well. I don't know if everybody else will be as lucky, but I surely hope so!

Customization: It has 6 buttons that you can customize. I keep my top button as a "button display" to show me what the buttons do. If you hold it down it pops up on the screen with 6 buttons and what they correspond to as well as the center scroll wheel thing(real technical terms I'm using... yeah). It basically works like an ipod scroll wheel. The scroll wheel has 4 different functions it can do that you can change by clicking the center button. I only use it for zooming though. The zoom function is really nice.

Before getting this I was looking at the medium bamboo fun tablet, but after further review the main things that made me choose this over the medium bamboo fun was:
*this comes with a mouse
*pen tip last longer (according to other's reviews)
*2048 levels of pressure (bamboo only had 1024)
*this one can tell what angle the pen is at.

The refurbished bamboo fun was about 30 bucks cheaper, but this is much much better than it. If you go with this tablet I am sure that you will be happy with your purchase!
