This is no "ordinary" butter server -- lovely stoneware with a brilliant black gloss. Totally eye-catching. It shipped sooooo FAST!! A+++ in every way!

...to find a plain black butter dish. A plain white one can be had anywhere; Target sells them for five bucks. Plain black? I had to pay $25 plus shipping, and send off to GERMANY. It's a nice butter dish, as butter dishes go - nothing wrong with it, certainly, aside from the fear that if I drop it (not too tough to do, especially with butter on your hands, or the dish, or both) I'm going to have to send off to GERMANY again, to get an expensive replacement.

It was extremely hard to find a black butter dish. This is the best one I could find and it is perfect. It is good quality and have been as impressed as you can be with a butter dish so far.
