Waechtersbach Fun Factory Soup/Cereal Bowls, Set of 4

I have bought a set of four cherry bowls, and am watching Amazon prices to buy white and royal blue. The purchases are to replace Corelle dinnerware that is 9 years old - the Corelle items were still in great condition, but we're changing the color theme in our kitchen.

I am very pleased with the quality of the bowls! While, unlike the old Corelle stuff I had, they can't (shouldn't) be used in the oven or microwave, they have performed quite well in the dishwasher. No chips or scratches showing up at all. I was a little concerned at first when overlapping the bowls in the dishwasher, afraid that they might "bounce" and chip, but to my delight they've all come out perfect! The glaze is beautiful and really compliments our kitchen theme - I imagine that all colors available are just as vivid and lovely!

One thing we were worried about, being ceramic, is that the small unglazed ring on the bottom of the bowls would scratch the countertops (e.g., as the bottoms of mugs often do). We were pleased to discover that the unglazed ring was exceptionally smooth, and I haven't noticed any scratches on the countertops at all.

I am waiting for Amazon to post sales on the other Waechtersbach products and will buy them up one at a time. The Waechtersback webpage also has decent sales, intermittently, on items not sold at Amazon.

I love these bowls. They look sharp and are very versatile to use with both hot & cold foods. The only downside is they get & stay super hot in the microwave.

These are beautiful bowls. I first bought these in kiwi and liked their design and rich color very much. The 20oz bowls are perfect for cereal and soup and work well with rice and stir fry servings. The 20oz size can also be used as a small serving bowl. I have since added plum and orange peel to my collection. I use Fiestaware plates and do not like any of the small bowl designs offered by them. These work perfectly with Fiestaware.

This set of bowls is nothing short of fantastic! And even more importantly, Amazon.com packs them very well for shipping, so they will not arrive broken. I have had many experiences with Amazon Marketplace sellers who didn't package their items properly, and even with Amazon about a year ago, when the items I ordered arrived broken. I think Amazon has learned from its past mistakes and now properly packages items before they are sent to their customers. Kudos to Amazon for this! I have been a happy customer for over ten years and I will continue shopping from Earth's Biggest Selection!

These happy, inexpensive bowls are great for my school aged children. I can heat something up in them (compared to plastic one) yet they are fun-looking and cherry for breakfast or pasta.

These are very nice bowls. I have had mine for 7 years and have been very rough on them. I have microwaved them even though I shouldn't have, put them in the bottom of the dishwasher and overall really not taken care of them the way I should have. They are just now starting to show wear, with a little chipping around the top of the bowls.

I've bought these in 3 colors now and they are my favorite bowls. They are the perfect size for cereal, soups, and we often use them as serving dishes for salads and dips. My only complaint is that you have to be very delicate with them or else the rims will chip.

I just received these bowls. They are really pretty. I purchased to go with the dinner plates. Love this color.
