Do not buy Wagon products,

This review is from: Wagan 2203 Elite 1000W DC to AC Pure Sine Inverter (Automotive)
Just like the other review, I bought this inverter for my RV to run my microwave. I live in Canada so I too had to pay a high shipping cost to receive and also to return. After receiving the inverter and opening it up I heard rattling in the case when I moved it. It was almost as if the company didn't finish putting it togehter.Wagan 2203 Elite 1000W DC to AC Pure Sine Inverter The exterior screws were loose also and me being so upset after waiting and anticipating the arrival of this unit I like a fool tightened the screws and hooked it up anyway. It blew up and caught fire and burned. I returned it to Amazon with $$ loss in shipping. I actually ordered another one but after reading this other review I've decided to have them return my money.

This review is from: Wagan 2203 Elite 1000W DC to AC Pure Sine Inverter (Automotive)
This inverter lasted 7 hours before dying, the load was well below 1000w and the red light came on and never went off even after disconnecting it from the batteries and re-installing it. The unit is toast, the company lines are busy and no one has returned my phone calls. After reading the previous 2 reviews I reco0mmend not buy anything from wagan. i am poor, live off the grid and cannot afford to replace it which means i am stuck with intermittent power from a generator. *****UPDATE***** one month after returning the inverter and still nothing. 9 days ago i called customer service and wwas told I did not include proof of purchase. Well, I did, but even if I didn't they had all my contact information and never called or emailed me. so I emailed me a copy and called back in a few days and the customer service woman, I always get the same one too, had to find my email. Oh, ok I found it and will send it to accounting. I called today and was told it will be over a week before it will be shipped. I live off the grid and have no more money I am forced to live off a generator until I get my inverter, this has been a very expensive lesson.
