Product Description

It's portability at it's best. The Smart AC Inverter allows you to run your small electronics, like laptop computers, mobile appliances and other AC applications from just about anywhere. This inverter is powered from a 12 volt DC source and provides 150 Watts AC 60Hz through two North American standard outlets. The AC waveform is a modified sine wave (MSW) which approximates the sine wave of household electrical service. This inverter powers AC appliances up to 150 watts. An attached DC power cord connects to a 12 Volt DC cigarette lighter socket. There is a USB power port that can be used to charge cell phones, PDAs and MP3 players. Safety features include automatic shutdown in the event of overheat, overload, under-voltage and over-voltage conditions. Continuous Use: 150 Watt, Peak Surge Power: 300 Watt, AC Voltage Output: 110 Volt, Optimum Efficiency: 90 Percentage, No Load Current Draw: less than 0.15 Ampere, Input Voltage Range: 10 to 15 Volt. Cooling Fan and Auto Low Battery Shutdown are included.

I purchased this inverter to keep in my truck when traveling. It's come in handy on several trips now, so I'm glad I got it despite initially not being sure I was ever really going to need it.

This unit is smaller than I thought, which was a nice surprise. I've used it to charge my phone during my commute, when I failed to otherwise charge it at home and it does the job as advertised and does it well.
I chose this unit for its overload and surge protection. Two outlets and one USB port are certainly nice features as well! No need to buy a car charger for your phone if you can simply use the inverter and charge using the standard charger which came with your phone. You can bet this will make my emergency kit.
